My experience with American Richmond is overall neutral after my horrible experience with one of their sales representatives named Victoria. She at first was polite and responsive, however after I entered in contract her behavior changed and I wrote her a polite email asking a question to which she responded extremely rudely and dismissively to my inquiries. I made a complaint and sent the email evident to corporate American Richmond. Financing process needs HELP

We had an amazing purchase experience until it came to financing with RA. The contractors interest was attractive but the amount of red tape we had to cross to get to YES was not worth the wait so we sought financing elsewhere Dana appeared to not go that extra mile to assist us but at the end of it all we got the home we wanted!

Moving from Maryland was an adventure. We weren't looking for a new build but this house checked all our boxes. The buying process was good as any house buying process could be. The quality of the house is A++. We couldn't be happier with our new home. The builder notated 98% of deficiencies and had them repaired before closing. Can't say enough about the warranty process too. Very responsive and fantastic customer service.

Our community sales representative Mary was amazing, but our recommend lender was a complete nightmare, if it wasn’t for me being a person that stands on business and did not want to lose a great deal, I would have gone with another lender or just gone somewhere else.

I like my home, but I almost backed out over struggles with financing. The portal would allow multiple page uploads on pages that didn't need them, but would not allow on pages that needed them. I had to supply the same paperwork several times...4 times on one issue. I was living in a motel and didn't have access to a desktop or laptop. I would receive alerts that I would need to supply something "immediately" that I had already supplied or my financing was going to be delayed and I would loose my buyer's incentives. As a real estate agent I’ve had many interactions with RAH. As a buyer I was disappointed RAH has stopped allowing buyers to select their upgrades and designs. This made our purchase a bit hard and honestly more expensive on the back end in order for us to get what we wanted. Do better Richmond. For the people giving you business. Your design teams don’t know it all and at times make errors and bad decisions ( like not putting windows on a wall with a MOUNTAIN VIEW). It’s not that important to build homes as fast as you can. The beginning was rough. But Jeremy ( RH )and Steve (loan officer)Jennifer (loan processor)step in where my own realtor fell out. The team that does the walk though was amazing!! If not for tough start due to someone leaving and pass-off of clients & miscommunication. I would've marked higher for overall experience. I would recommend.

We love our home. The preferred lender was really great. I feel like the builder agent could have communicated a bit better. It caused a delay of a few months and we had to spend several thousand on an apartment. They wouldn't sell us the lot we wanted because our down payment was contingent on selling our house. We went under contract for a different lot being very clear we intended to transfer to the lot we wanted if it was still available. We moved in the new house about 45 days ago and I still have blue tapes everywhere and things that have not been fixed or done from the final walkthrough. Everyday I am discovering new things and the response takes a while to get things fixed here.

Josh was fantastic. There were a few hiccups. It wasn't a great experience but it wasn't bad. House is great. Process felt really pushy so it was annoying to have to sort of block that off a bit. Overall Josh was great. Process was mediocre from a customer service perspective. Our home is awesome.

Most of the actual buying facts that we responded to were not correct or they were altered to fit Richmond Homes. We were told we were purchasing our home at 2.99 3.99 4.99, never happened. We put an additional $15,000 dollars down to qualify for all the great rates, but that dismal a difference either. We. Were quoted a price, and interest rate and payment from our sales person. Overall the experience was good for the situation we found ourselves in (military moving under tight timeline). Shania in sales was great, and really helped us find the best deal and perfect home.
