I understand timing is everything. I was tired of living in a tiny apartment after I retired from the military. Why is it so hard to find an affordable house. Oh well, like the title implies, a good home at a tough time. There are areas of the house you can tell were rushed, the bath tub was scratched when it was installed, the frame doesn't line up near the entrance door, the ceiling was sagging in the master bedroom. You guys sold a $300 thousand dollar house for half a million dollars, at least you could have taken your time. Could have at least astro-turfed the backyard so it keeps the HOA off our backs. Stuffs expensive right now and needing to put in blinds, fans and a backyard takes a tole on any bank account. It is a good looking house, there are some things that could be better, but the relation house/price is totally worthy.

The house is decent, even though there are some finishing touches that need to be resolved. There seems to be no policing of the contractors that are still building homes right across from us. We expected noise, that’s part of building new houses, however the constant music and the trash everywhere is ridiculous. The contractors also park wherever they want, including in front of our driveway. We have to abide by the HOA rules, but the contractors can do whatever they want, and it’s very frustrating to live next to!

The builders’ representatives are little concerned with pleasing or helping potential buyers, except as it gets a sale made. Different areas of the company don’t even know each other, much less communicate or work together. Someone in the higher leadership in this company could make a BIG difference by having serving others well the cultural foundation value.

My experience with Richmond American Homes was not the best. Our sales agent, Lizett, had significant communication issues regarding our closing and walkthrough dates. Despite her assurances, we frequently had to follow up, which was frustrating. Additionally, her explanations of the buying process were often unclear and misleading, though I believe this was not intentional. She would benefit from training to improve her communication skills and ensure her statements are accurate and clear. Overall, dealing with her felt very challenging. In contrast, the lender provided excellent communication, consistently following up at every step of the loan approval process. They were the highlight of this home buying experience. As for the home itself, it was satisfactory, but there were numerous issues identified during the inspection that were not addressed before our move-in date. We have been informed that some of these issues will only be resolved during our 30-day walkthrough. Overall, the level of service from Richmond American Homes needs significant improvement. ... Hi , thank you for building my dream house . However it would have been more cheerful if there was transparency in sales and mortgage team have handled professionally . My sales person ,All was good but I would have appreciated when I look at model houses would have told me what’s the basic model and upgrade model difference , how many lights I will be getting , am I getting 1 sink , extra cost for another sink approx . I came to know upgrades in gallery only . I have to buy solar panel and mortgage to have credits .i felt like there was no transparency. These little things was not transparent. My mortgage team Chris left my mortgage 4/5 weeks before closing date to let me know what’s interest rate I am getting . I was the person contacting Chris to give him ideas can I buy interest down? I clearly said in beginning to lock my interest rates but it wasn’t locked and was stated the other mortgage person left company in Dec. I was left crying ,mentally stress , exhausted at end of closing as I didn’t had enough time to shop around and my mortgage was not handled professionally and with best interest . I will never recommend this mortgage consultant to my friends or family . Jerry and Rigo were best people in your company who made me feel happy about my house and was involved in this process and shared every detail of my house . Ashley was great in gallery Aswell . And least when house owners get house keys , builder or sales give flowers /gift/ token of love / memory to homeowner like flowers . I was given Richmond bag with keys and congratulations . Good experience with sales person and design person. After construction started and during construction, things started to go south. Good materials, but poor workmanship. When I raised concerns about errors, I was being convinced that those were "industry standard." You are paying people to work and should expect them to deliver QUALITY workmanship. A recommendation will be to have a quality control person with good customer service to help!

From start to finish the builder deserves 4 stars. I used their lender for the special rate on the table and they were fantastic, title company amazing, and most people friendly. Sales made some misleading or unknowledgeable wrong answers and there have been a few hiccups with warranty. That said, overall I’m incredibly happy with the home and time will tell on the long term quality. I was very disappointed the builder didn’t allow option selection but ultimately found my ideal lot and the color scheme I wanted. You do end up paying twice for paint or finishes you want after the fact since they don’t let you choose that either. The positive side of that is it was move in ready quickly, but I do wonder if that will bite me at some point. ... More

The entire process was difficult and slow. Building supervisor never had much info on what or when things would be complete. Asked questions and never got responses. Always had excuses for delays and issues. Would never take responsibility for issues.

The workmanship on my home is very poor, I’ve already had a few issues and we have lived in the home 4 weeks. Thankfully the warranty side has been fairly responsive and quick with repairs.

The process to complete this purchase was difficult and often left me without a point of contact due to high volume of turnover. No one who started the process of buying the home was working for Richmond once the process concluded. The sales team turned over twice before the home was closed, causing a huge lapse in communication. After move in there are issues to resolve (of course). The issue was more turnover, unfinished work, a lack of follow up. Without having a realtor to assist with the process, I would have had a much more difficult time. Suzanne was amazing!!! She was very helpful and knew all the information required. We used to come every other weekend to see the process since we were excited about the new house. I remember there was a weekend in which we couldn't come and she kindly sent us pictures (she noticed we didn't go on that weekend). The buying process was a little bumpy. We decided to used their lender and go through their people since I was told they all communicate with each other. At times I was overwhelmed because they kept asking me for things I had already submitted and it seemed they didn't communicate with each other at all. We accomplished this from Arizona. The Richmond team was not only extremely helpful handling the moving pieces for the project internally, but was very helpful roping in our agent on the ground and making sure all our questions were addressed in a timely manner. Some minor hiccups with the mortgage team regarding updates and clear communications which were resolved as we got closer to the closing date. The quality of build is top notch. Every corner, face, and foundational component has been expertly finished. The sales agent Terri was the best! She helped me throughout the entire process. I was out of state and she called me almost everyday to give me updates, send pictures of the home, video called me to do a virtual tour and more. Zurich, the builders superintendent was also helpful. Any questions I had he answered and even after I purchased the home, he’s still assisting me with no problem.

Hello, I really liked the Richmond American builders and the sales person(Dana) as well as the orientation persons (Steve) helped us understand and complete all the process very smoothly. Even the lender was so good and helped me to understand all the process easily and complete on time. High ceilings, good location and good construction. We really liked the Richmond American and I would definitely suggest to others .

Happy with the house purchase

Beautiful home purchase with great move in specials. Staff was amazing especially Kenny and Michelle. Best buying experience ever !

The whole process of loan approval was a mess. It was very disorganized, bad communication, time management, last minute work (Mike the loan officer did not have a good communication and I felt was very behind and disorganized) the whole process was very stressful, not a good experience. On the other hand Rene was awesome, great person and experienced.

The house is still being renovated and I haven't moved in yet. I won't be able to provide more ideas until everything is renovated and someone moves in. So far, everything is going well.

Jim, Mike and Jennifer made a great team and were professional, knowledgeable and helpful through out the process. Would highly recommend working with them.

Please due your due diligence! They lie and are deceitful, they will not do any repairs that they schedule. The financing is a total SCAM and I am filing consumer protection complaint with the attorney general.

From start to finish we felt this was the best deal and best first home to buy. The process was smooth, easy and made it all feel that much better. Very happy!
