Horrible experience with these people! Paperwork was constantly being emailed to us for things that had already been done and when we called about it we were told someone else was reviewing it and send it again and again and again!! As for quality of work. Non of my windows are level which makes purchasing window coverings a nightmare. They promise that if there’s problems that you find after move in we should let them know at the 1 month post inspection. Disappointed and frustrated

Sales team has not responded to questions regarding sales incentives offered prior to closing. 3 months from closing and still no response.

Make sure all sales incentives are reflected correctly prior to closing. Sales team is non-responsive even if matters are included and followed up on in writing with the lender, Gallery, escrow and Sales representatives. This is my second Home with Richmond American and this item has ruined the experience.

Undervalued Customer Experience

I have never felt so undervalued as a customer. We sought out this home in March of last year before construction had even started and attempted to make the whole process as easy as possible. We were flexible with all date changes and issues that came up, and throughout the entire time, we never felt like we were a priority. Flodd Zone Where to even begin...I found out about flood insurance by the finance team that called me to keep me on pace for closing on the home. WARRANTY IS POOR !

Warranty after sales is complete is nonexistent . Closed on November 11 and still can not use the hot water in my bathroom or shave in my private space I am paying so much for. My worst house buying experience ever. !

Manger Kim it is the most rude, condescending, disrespectful person I ever came across. Throughout the building process we were treated as disposable buyers. Our concerns, questions, requests, all fell by the wayside. The project took longer than expected and it was costly for me and my family. At no point, including now, has Richmond reached out in attempt to make things right. Richmond loan officer was very difficult to work with. Had to wait long periods of time to get responses. Total home purchasing took 3.5 months. Would have liked a definite answer. Was asked to get a separate appraisal then it wasn't accepted. Finally Richmond decided to share their appraisal after 3 months of back and forth on purchasing the home.

My overall experience with Richmond American Homes was awful. The process with their preferred lender was a headache with repeating step after step of the same thing and resending the same documents once already sent. I have had issues trying to make my first payment because they do not tell you where to go to pay it and I have finally figured it out on my own but then my monthly payment is incorrect from what is on my paperwork. This was a terrible home buying experience. Terrible communication from Dan. Did walk through and most items were not completed at closing. Back yard landscape is extremely poor workmanship. No attention to detail in house. Dark cabinets and they install a white vent cover. No drawers in second bedroom. No place to put a towel bar. In master bathroom. The list goes on. . Hid the fact that we had a 12’ deep easement at the rear yard so back yard is much smaller than expected.

Worst Experience out of 6 new home purchases in my lifetime.

I would not recommend Richmond to anyone. This was the worst home buying experience of my life. I have purchased 11 homes (6 of them new) in 4 different states. Richmond was by far the worst company to deal with. The sales associate was so short handed and over-worked that he could not get back to us regarding issues. They also changed the agreed upon price after I signed all of the paperwork. Then they tried to change it one more time and they relented when I threatened to back out of the purchase. I would not buy from RIchmond. We just recently purchased and unfortunately bought the home before the home was complete. The materials are very cheap and there was no way to change anything before it was put it. We are very disappointed with the purchase and would not buy from Richmond again. The only thing good so far is the yard and the responsiveness to issues.

My experience with Richmond American Homes has been very poor. When I first visited the sales office I was treated nicely and given a tour of some models. I was offered a special offering of 4.99% with 10k of closing costs and 2% of base, when I returned within 24 hours to decide on moving forward the offer was no longer valid (I wish I would've backed out then) They changed the offering to 5.5% with only 5k in closing covered.
