The Worst Home Buying Experience Ever!!!

Between a 2 month delay, showing up to a scheduled walk thru 3 times to a home that was clearly not ready for a walk thru, the superintendent not providing a completion date but instead saying "any day now", not communicating with utility company to understand what is pending, the home left sitting with minimal progress for 4 weeks while they wait for a meter, not fixing/completing any repairs leaving it all for us to submit claims AFTER moving in, 2 months after move in only completing 1 repair, & continuous lack of response from superintendent and customer service; what was supposed to be ...

Cutting corners, no oversight with the trades, serious issues with the lot and interior

I had to close twice because of the lack of the certificate of occupancy. I could never get a real closing date in order to schedule my movers. I lost $1500 at the 2nd closing that I wouldn't have lost in the 1st closing. There was no oversight on the trades such as my entire floor of the house. It wasn't leveled before the LVP was installed leaving hills and valleys in my flooring. My beautiful quartz countertop on the kitchen island has a extremely visible seam directly down the middle...as do the countertops by the stove. Doors are hung correctly to be able to close. An uninstalled ...

From the start, we were bait and switched on a " promotional" interest rate. " get down here by tomorrow to get this rate", Then when we make the decision to commit to the largest financial purchase either of us had ever made, only to be told oh, wait, you cannot get that promotion because of a construction production issue. So.. we held up our end, but they mess up and we pay for it. Turned out, par for the course with Richmond. Next, the builder would not work with us at all during the build, we stepped into a build that had already started, however, it was only a concrete slab, ...

One of the 1st to buy and last to move in because they failed to preplan and see that the pole in my lot needed to be moved, took 2 yrs for me to move in and because it was rushed there have been all sorts of issues with the house. It's no wonder there have been several Class Action Lawsuits brought against them!

My experience was very bad from the beginning. The seller deceived me into signing a contract and giving my deposit by offering things I did not received. When I brought it up to a management absolutely nothing was done. I moved into a home I am not happy with. I will give them a zero if I could, the whole process was very bad.

Homes that are cheaply built, customer service thats deplorable, questionable ethics, company as a whole operating in “the grey”. Hire a third party inspector BEFORE purchasing! We were expierencing so many issues that we had to bring in a professional to hep us navigate the myrid nof issues. After receiving a 37 page inspection report on our “newly built” home here are some of the larger issues we are having witht he home that directly effect the value of our investment. 1. Buying Richmond has been a huge pain. Their own mortgage company was awful to work with. The build quality is super low and they haven’t fixed the things they said they would fix when we closed. Can’t even get them to call me back. I will avoid Richmond like the plague in the future

Home is Overpriced and Cheap Materials Being Used.

The total experience with Richmond Homes has been a very disappointing and frankly a very unpleasant one. What is said and presented by the Sales Associate is not what you will get. You will find out that very cheap materials have been used, and very poor craftsmanship in construction of the home. Every time the shower and toilets are used on the second floor, the sound of the water coming down the pipes in the walls of the first floor is extremely loud and very annoying. The price of the home goes higher with additions given to you after you have placed your honest money for the downpayment ...

Poorly built homes!!

I would never buy from this company again. It’s so unfortunate with majority of the builders in Las Vegas hire out for teams to build all their homes, and these teams are so lazy and they’re rush to build these homes. The lending process is a joke they don’t communicate. Choose your own title company, the title company they choose, which is called Ticor Title is also a joke. Here’s my advice! Find your own agents don’t trust theirs! They work for the company and their best interest is the company! 1. Real estate agent 2. Loan agent 3. Home Inspector 4. Title company

Poor Construction Quality and Worse Warranty Coverage

  • Chi-Lun H.

The house was purchased under the assumption that it is new and will be covered under warranty if something is not right. That was a big mistake. The house was not ready on the date of closing with plenty of outstanding defects identified during pre-closing walk-through. The builder was not willing to fix them all before closing and forced us into closing or lose the deposit. The construction crew were working on the house even on the revised closing date. Then the repairs just stopped after closing and we have to chase down the superintendent constantly to work on the promised repairs. ...

This experience has been an absolute nightmare. Two days after move in, our downstairs bathroom flooding raw sewage. A month and a half later we’re STILL waiting for fixes! The super rarely answers the phone, and if he does, he has no idea the deadlines of material. The installers show up unannounced WITHOUT supplies because they thought Richmond was supplying everything. It’s a cluster mess and miscommunication around every corner.

Richmond had too many houses they closed on in the same week so mine got half done. Paint, drywall, doors, trim, stucco, list goes on forever needs final touchups that were never done before closing. Really expect a better quality for a brand new house at this price. By far this has been the worse experience ever. The entire loan process was ridiculous and overkill, the house was filthy dirty when i received it, my fridge is missing a filter, my garbage disposal wasnt working and i had to pay out of pocket to fix it. I had beer bottles left in my backyards and still had some tape left from the marked areas that needed fixing. Very dissatisfied and the only reason that I finished the pricess waa because of my situation I was in. Beautiful homes but that’s all.
