When I was placed on contract for my home, the building process moved very slowly. After some adjustments, things seemed to get back on track. However, I am not pleased with the limited customization, such as adding additional speakers, a swimming pool, a fence, etc., to the mortgage. During inspections and closing, the enthusiasm to make the necessary fixes was apparent, but some things did not get done. I'm still waiting for my driveway to be cleaned because my final walk-thru was on a rainy day.

We have had a very good relationship with Dale, Judy and Kelly. Always there to answer questions and take care of us.

I work in the remodel/rehab and new residential and commercial construction industries. The home I purchased fails to meet basic, minimum industry standards. Poor finish work. Five weeks since close and still not moved in because repairs not complete. Unskilled labor executing tasks requiring high-level, specific skills (skip trowel texture). New windows won’t open and told that’s how they are. False. Threshold improperly installed and told that’s how it is. False. Four property walks later and only the drywall and texture issues addressed, but these repairs were inadequate to the point the walls need completely refloated and retextured. Lack of follow through by builders warranty/repair team. There’s much, much more. Cabinets damaged, toilet seat damaged, air gap cover wrong color, screen dented and hanging off window, toilet paper holder ripped off wall, handrail severely lacking prep work, two different color caulking used on tile floor, tiles in shower cracked, doors warped, door handles loose enough to fall off, cutouts in drywall some of the worst I’ve ever seen, repair team dripped paint all over tile, paint job is absolutely horrible and that’s an understatement, multiple roof tiles were severely damaged, window frames and sliding door frame scratched, exterior paint lacking coverage in multiple areas, pavers for patios and driveway not level…and more. ... I love my Richmond American home! Richmond's representatives, Jazmin and Linoel were so nice and welcoming, and very attentive to all my questions before, during and after the purchase of my home! It was a great experience!

The buying process was very easy and understandable for a first time home buyer as Richmond provided very good education. The 2 story house was built well and only had to have minor things done after the move in. Such as roof shingles needing to be replaced and window screens missing but all was fixed or put in by Richmond. We are very happy with the house so far.

We moved into a corner lot with a water tank behind us, the entire water tank is surrounded by a rock wall and in several other residents backyards but ours. When trying to get answers as to why we did not get a rock wall fence as well no had any answers. The city decided to put up an ugly barb wire prison fence directly in our backyard. When trying to get answers on who the developers were to discuss other options NO ONE KNEW. No one seemed to know anything! There’s no reason we would have thought anything but that rock wall would have just continued over for us like it did for EVERYONE ELSE, we feel tricked and lied to. We were originally tricked when we started the process by our sales agent Desiree who told me we had up to 90 days before closing to back out and get our $20,000 deposit back which turned out to be a lie. Once the house was built we found a lot of sloppy work to be done and getting someone out to fix issues has been a super long waiting game. ... More

But sloppy where you don’t look. Gutters full of roofing nails. Backyard full of nails. Metal Flashing under roof tires extends into the gutters. Time will tell durability. Nice people though. Pretty smooth purchase

This is my second home. The sales Departmrnt was not honest, and The lending process was the worst experience. . Richmond lenders was not helpful, constantly being condescending and making you feel like you should just give up. Questioning income, questioning why I didn't know certain things. An overall stressful experience that I hope no one else has to endure.

Great and trustworthy Builder. Nice house and community and affordable home price. Best sales person Sam and Kudos! Nick and Sam did well for following up punch list. Highly recommended Builder and Sales person Sam.

It started from the beginning where the sales rep wasn't sure about how to input our info. We ended up having to do these forms about correct names due to her not entering our driver's license correctly and it went down hill from there. The superintendent got fired and there were a lot of things wrong with the build and still are until the warranty person comes. Guest bathroom is a mess and most of the products used were cheaply made. Overall experience was poor.

Decided to buy a ready to move in house that wasn’t ready; Sales rep quit halfway into the buying process; The maker’s lender was extremely incompetent and did not communicate much of anything to me; had to resubmit multiple documents multiple times; lending agent stopped communicating the last few weeks before my expected close date; new lending agent was clueless about the process and had me resubmit documents that were already on file; everything was disorganized and hectic and the process was extremely frustrating…when we moved in, the home had numerous issues to deal with that took forever to get fixed; the home’s workmanship and quality was poor…I should’ve done more research on the builder and area; the same model home was sold for way less just a few weeks prior…buyer beware ... Richmond team works great throughout the process, everything is well taking care of and meet most of my expectation.

Overall my experience was great. I’m very pleased with my home the area the work that was put in. Keep up the great work I would definitely in the near future purchase another home with them.!!!

Not a good experience because I just told almost maximum closing cost 2% but actually cost was more than that, many issues when came never been solved

This is my second home, but first time with Richmond. Sales representative is great. I appreciate Brad for his prompt replies and sharing progress every week. Construction manager was responsive to the issues reported to him with immediate actions. I am yet to evaluate with the warranty guys as I will need them very soon for the recently discovered construction issues. Overall not a bad experience but could have been better if Richmond had a better policy about after sales and service. This is not people problem, but the Company policy. Problem:. Most of the buyers will have trouble finding drywall's/paint issues during inspection causing them to live or fix their own. Richmond doesn’t provide warranty on drywall and paint which is standard with all the builders. BUT, Most of the other builders provide a couple of “free hours” for paint/drywall post closing, but Richmond just wants you to live with that. This could have been better with Richmond to have a best customer experience. ... More

We’ve had a lot of issues after buying the home. A lot of poor quality work done on the home. Many things not put together well, the upstairs bathroom flooded after a storm because there is an issue with the roof or the pipes and now we’re worried about mold and water damage from every storm before that. We’ve appreciated quick responses to our warentee requests to address these issues. And that we are under warentee, but very disappointed in how poorly the condition of our new home was in.

We bought a move in ready home and our experience was great. They fixed all the minor touch ups we asked for before closing and we had two walk throughs before we moved in. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner and still continue to support us with any questions we have after we have moved in. Overall we had a great experience with our new home.

Very bad and take long time to fix .look like I beg for repair

The sales process was very efficient and pleasant. After moving in we found several issues with the house itself. We made a list and were instructed to communicate with their representative to get these resolved. Almost a month and a half later and all communication is one way - me to them. I don’t even get a thanks for the text I am working on it. Nothing. It is very frustrating.
