My wife and I were on a time crunch due to abroad traveling and Ashley helped us out to close on the house we wanted. The home is great and we're very glad to be part of Lynwood Station.

I was completely satisfied with the whole process. All of the individuals I worked with were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Unbelievable experience.

After living in the home for a few weeks I’m finding more and more items that are just poorly done. Painting lines. Caulking. Carpet. Workmanship that’s not bad but certainly not very well done either.

I have only ever lived in new build homes. The last one I was able to plan from the ground up and never had one issue with anything about that home (Atherton Homes) I moved into this new build after it had been sitting vacant for several months. I was out of state during the closing so my son-in-law did the final walk-thru. When I arrived to move in there was a laundry list of things that were not done correctly. Too many to list here but here are a couple: cabinet door not glued together so it fell apart when you went to open the cabinet. Heating vent in primary bath had been drywalled over. Paint all over the floors where they were doing touch ups. Sloppy work. Cracked door trim. Chunk out of door trim just painted over. Running paint on front door. Misaligned slider and unable to be fixed unless it was completely removed. Left us spare flooring but box had been dropped so only one piece was available for use to repair a chunk missing out of the floor in great room. We are extremely frustrated with the quality of the preparation of the home for occupancy. It has resulted with a total of 7 to 8 vendors having to come in to make repairs while we were living in the home. Things that should’ve been taken care of by whoever was overseeing the building of this home. And then corrected prior to us moving in if they weren’t caught during the build process. Vendors who came to make repairs commented on the less than quality products used in these homes. Maybe you’re trying to cut costs or just don’t care about the quality of your homes. But your reputation with the people you have now coming in to make the repairs is less than stellar. One vendor told me he had just worked on a house down the street that had three different brands of windows in the home like it has just been pieced together with whatever was available. When we moved in, we felt like we had gotten a lemon. And when I asked for paint touchup and repairs to be made, I was told that the builder had generously offered to allow someone to come in for two hours to make all the repairs, but then I would be waving my rights to be able to make any claims within my first year living here if there were nail pops, or other things that occurred. I was not willing to waive that due to all the things we had already found. So I asked for some touchup paint so I could fix things until I was able to make claims to have repairs done. And then the person you have overseeing the houses now was afraid to even ring our doorbell and hand that paint to us. He just set it out in front of the house and didn’t even let us know. It was just sitting out there. I don’t think I would be able to recommend Richmond American homes to anyone that I know. I complained to the girls in the sales office about our experience. I complained to my realtor who sold me the house. But I am making it my own now. We are fixing it up making the repairs we need to make and due to my age I’m not sure that I want to move again, but it is a possibility. Signed very disappointed homeowner ... More

We purchased a new build from Richmond American and were hesitant about the "new build nightmare" you hear so much about. But, so far, we have no regrets about purchasing this home. When we did have an issue, we were able to get the help we needed, and the issue was resolved on a holiday within a few hours.

I love the home but here are the issues and this isn’t all of them. The air vent is located right next to the shower so it blows cold air right on you in the hot shower that’s a poor design, closed the air vent and that resolves that. Electrical issues lights blink in one area and fireplace makes a weird clicking sound repetitively that’s maddening. The major issue is I haven’t can’t cook a meal on my stove and I’ve lived there over a month because no one wants to fix or take responsibility for it not working and I’m currently going through the GE appliances website scheduling an appointment two weeks out so it’ll probably be two months in before I can cook a meal on the stove which is frustrating. ... I got a good deal on the house. They worked with me on it and I thought it was very fair. The home seems to be of great quality. I am happy about everything.

We love the look of our home minus some interior finish workmanship on the inside. I’m sure it’s not normal for Richmond but we were blessed with a poor quality trim person on our house (Wasn’t good with corner work). Seemed as if they hurried to much in the final phase and quality dropped in the last days of finishing. Issues w/ mail not being able to be delivered, Internet service still not available w/ the company servicing our new neighborhood and zip code discrepancies. House has issues, but nothing that can't be fixed. Buying experience with house selling was horrible.

Worked with Cori and she kept us informed on what we needed to do. The closing process was great. We closed on our old house in the morning and got the keys for our new house that afternoon.

We had an incredible experience buying our new home, and a huge part of that was thanks to Cori. From our very first phone call, she went above and beyond—FaceTiming us to tour lots since we were out of town, holding weekly calls to keep us updated on the build, and patiently answering every question we threw her way (even while she was on vacation!). Cori didn’t just feel like a sales associate—she felt like our advocate. Through the entire process, especially during closing, it genuinely felt like she was working for us, not just Richmond American Homes. Kevin, our builder, was just as impressive. He joined our weekly calls to provide construction updates and brought a level of detail and care that made a real difference. During both walk-throughs, he caught things we completely missed and made sure they were taken care of before we moved in. Even after closing, Kevin followed through on things we asked about, which made us feel incredibly supported. The roof line looks like it has speed bumps in it. Speaking to neighbors I learned everyone has issues. The walk thru was a joke. Andrew was like, "We aren't fixing that." All houses have been sold and the retaining ponds are horrible. Full of trash and debris. My house humidity runs around 75-85% due to fresh air return not working. I've been in my home 30 days and had to clean out my gutters. They were clogged solid on inspection and they told us that it wasn't their problem. They were not cleaning them. The warranty people told me that they would take care of it but never showed up. It's a beautiful home. But build quality isn't very good. ... More

Communication was great. Process was smooth. Home is great and enjoying it.

Smooth and easy process. Everyone communicated in a timely manner. I had a few things that needed to get fixed post move in day and Andrew made that happen. Very pleased with this company.

Any way, it seemed that he tried to tell the house as kindly as possible. But there are some defects like torn screen, stuck door, grasses, and what is surprising me is no plumbing on the deck roof. Rainwater was flowing like waterfall to the point of damaging grasses. Please see the site.

Our home was purchased at great price-value for area and craftsmanship of home builder. My wife and I were very happy with whole process and Darlene was great throughout entire time before and after closing follow up on small fixes.

Beautiful, elegant and functional is how I’d describe these homes and great floor plans !

Andrew is very quick to respond when an issue or need arises. The subcontractors have also been quick to respond and very communicative. Negatives...... All bathroom vanities don't have drawers, that is a zero on a scale of 1-10. Also the toilets are extremely low.

Pay attention to details, ask a lot of questions.

My experience with Richland was so positive! On sales perspective Rachel provides all support to allow us to buy our first home in US! Since the first contact with us until get the keys, Raychel was so supportive. She also was available 7 days a week any time to clarify or help with anything that my Family may needed. On the construction side Kevin was like Rachel where he gave to us all support that we request! Every sing week Kevin and Raychel called me to explain about the construction time phase given all details about it. After researching the area our decision was made as we walked through the quality built site we now call HOME! Cori was a delight from the beginning, her support throughout the process was top notch! The opportunity to work with the companies professionals; lenders/closing agents went smoothly and on time. Our walk through went great, they had addressed most of our concerns before our arrival to appointment! Our personal builder on site Kevin has been wonderful responding to our needs after our closing on issues we’ve encountered!
