So many things didn’t get done before house as sold. Now we have to be home in order to get repairs done that should have happened before we moved in. Sub contractors trying to get away with mistakes and covering them up, and Richmond is not holding them accountable until after we complain about it. Then we have to take time off of work to be home so they can come back and fix it correctly. Mike treated us like we were idiots and refused to listen to us, even though time and time again we were proven correct. I haven’t met a neighbor yet that is happy with Mike or the process, and we have met about half of the new buyers. Just about every complaint was met with I don’t see anything wrong with that. Throughout the building process we were treated as disposable buyers. Our concerns, questions, requests, all fell by the wayside. The project took longer than expected and it was costly for me and my family. At no point, including now, has Richmond reached out in attempt to make things right. We found the right lot in a great spot so we stuck it out. I do not recommend choosing Richmond if you're hoping to be wowed with customer service and support. At move in- Our home was not move in ready clean, the AC wasn't hooked up fully, showers weren't fully caulked, drywall repairs weren't completed, insulation buttoning wasn't completed in the basement, a white pvc pipe is still protruding from a drain in my entry way that was supposed to get fixed, counter top decorative mounding fell off right after move in, they painted the washer hookups making it a task to get a seal, wrong towel rack was installed in a bathroom and it was never fixed.. again we got a great lot in an awesome spot. We love the home but the purchase process was difficult and tiring. Since the closing and move in we have had little to no response to our request to make promised repairs and modifications. Very very frustrating and disappointing

Unfortunately for us our experience with Richmond Homes has been bad from the beginning. From the lending process to moving in and finding over 40 to do items in our home that still 30+ days after move in are still not being addressed. Everyone has dropped the ball and seems not to care at all. I would not recommend this builder because they do not care about the workmanship of their homes.

Overall not a very good experience, I would try my luck with a different builder, they definitely could’ve done better.

I was promised $10k towards closing costs if I signed by a certain date and if I used the preferred lender another $9k. Fine print of contract said all of nothing. Sales agent made a promise and did not keep it. Still have warranty issues, blue tape items not finished and no front yard landscaping after a month of living in the home with no timeline on when it will be completed.
