First time buying a brand new house, I thought I could customize which wasn’t the case. We start the house from scratch and they told us, they already ordered everything, so no changes. However, we love the house despite some requests that they were not able to adjust. We worked with Steven, the saler, he is very knowledgeable and always available whenever we needed him even now. I will recommend Richmond American Homes. Also they have a great APR that you will never found anywhere. That’s the big reason we chose them. Thank you

Have been very disappointed in the product I received for 700k. The workmanship is reminiscent of a lesser quality builder. Definitely will NOT purchase nor recommend a Richmond American home to anyone.

I had a lot of moving pieces in my life and needed a house. Richmond American was there to fill that need. Our house is okay. It's an okay starter house. Workmanship is okay. There is some pretty mediocre tile work going down. Otherwise things are functional and overall acceptable. Acceptable is the key. I'm sure you didn't want this review. Maybe stop spamming my email with these requests. This was a reasonable review, I definitely could have submitted worse.

the salesperson was very nice. But after purchasing the house the customer service is not very responsive to correct issues .

I love the craftsmanship of my home. The 2 x 6 construction and design is great. The issue I have is with the sales rep Steven A. He out right lied to me and my realtor about the options for my house - specifically the windows in the basement. I spent a lot of money for several options that were important to me. I wanted to a full size window in an unfinished bedroom in the basement. The Sales staff lacks professionalism, is very unresponsive to any issue or concern. Where they rate higher is their Superintendent who takes great care during the building process and after.

AWFUL WORKMANSHIP

I absolutely regret purchasing this home. This is my 5th new build and hands-down, the worst quality. There are so many issues with the home and it’s like pulling teeth to get them fixed. I HATE THIS HOUSE.

Overall this has been an exhausting process. There were so many issues wrong with the house. You would think paying over $700K for a home would get you more. Materials are cheap. I will never buy another RA home, and I will not be recommending your homes to anyone looking to purchase.

I would be willing to give perfect score and advise all to work with Richmond Homes if only my overall experience was better. For the price paid, I would expect better after closing customer service, better home/site engineering with less errors and a company that is willing to make customer happy with little effort. Unfortunately, as a buyer, at this stage, I can not recommend this builder due to after closing findings/issues they are unwilling to help. Sales people are helpful and good but it doesn't help much. I really hope they get better in the future, USA needs good and trustworthy home ...

The construction superintendent does not have any control over the subcontractors resulting in shoddy work and a frustrating purchase process. Finishes and materials are less than mediocre. Responsiveness from the builder is below standard.

A tough experience; most homeowners, including myself, have lost $10k-15k in the process due to lack of information and communication from the Sales department. The company experiences delays and doesn't take responsibility for them. The house has many minor issues; the quality is poor, and every room has some inconvenience, for which the builder is slow to address.

Good experience with sales person and design person. After construction started and during construction, things started to go south. Good materials, but poor workmanship. When I raised concerns about errors, I was being convinced that those were "industry standard." You are paying people to work and should expect them to deliver QUALITY workmanship. A recommendation will be to have a quality control person with good customer service to help!

Horrible experience with these people! Paperwork was constantly being emailed to us for things that had already been done and when we called about it we were told someone else was reviewing it and send it again and again and again!! As for quality of work. Non of my windows are level which makes purchasing window coverings a nightmare. They promise that if there’s problems that you find after move in we should let them know at the 1 month post inspection. If you enjoy being overpromised, undelivered, completely ignored and overall frustrated for over 6 months straight to only find yourself living in an unfinished, overpriced, cheaply built home… then you’ll LOVE Richmond American Homes. I cannot say enough terrible things about this company, and they have managed to make an experience that should be one of the most exciting and happy experiences for you and your family into a dumpster fire.
