AC Broke Within Three Months Our central air conditioning failed just three months after move-in. With 109 deg temp inside home, we had to stay I hotel before it was fixed. 3. Front door lock broke in two months. It was replaced after a month. 4. Cockroaches Emerging from the Sewer Then came the worst: cockroaches crawling up through the drains. This often means there’s a plumbing issue—like cracks in the sewer line or P-traps that have dried out, offering pests a highway into your home These pests aren’t just gross—they carry allergens. Moving from CA to AZ was not an easy decision, very Nice Sales person Janna made little bit easier, got a beautiful house in Nice location. everything was smooth, little bit of missing quality issues like water leak, but they fixed it very fast in few mins after calling.. warranty person Melissa also very nice and quick response. Overall we are very happy with house Richmond American built. may be just one request, allow one or two customer request also along with their pre selected designer items, please also consider design phase functional aspect example not having single drawer under bath sink. Awesome experience, Great help from everyone on the team with walking me through the process to make it so much easier and less stressful

My new home buying experience began with excitement. Things began to go wrong and the responses were addressed slowly or not at all: frame to garage door, electrical issues, closet bar holding clothes loosening and the insulation between the foundation of the house and the walls not completely sealed when the doggie door was installed. I’m currently awaiting for the compressor on the air conditioner to be replaced, the unit is completely out of service, which was really loud to begin with, but it was working.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the appliances. This home was very expensive, but the appliances are very low-grade. Poor quality. I’ve had nothing but trouble with each of them. This being a model home I expected top grade appliances, but I receive low quality.

Excellent builder to work with. Staff is courteous and helpful. Everyone will go above and beyond to solve a problem or to satisfy the customer. We would definitely recommend Richmond American Homes!

We are absolutely delighted with our home purchase. We moved out of state to purchase our new home and the sale rep was very kind and always answered my calls and questions. She wasn’t pushy to make a sale and was spot on to what our monthly payment would be. I didn’t have any surprises during closing. We are very thankful for the help from the lenders who were patient. Workmanship is very poor. Quality of products used throughout are less than desirable. Still waiting on repairs from initial walk through and 10 day inspection. Lack of communication post close. They were great to deal with in the beginning to buy the house. Once closed, it’s been complete opposite

Quick smooth and easy process

Quality of work is lacking, during initial inspection many items were brought up. During the final inspection most of the initially mentioned issues had not been resolved. We already have a list for about 30 items that will need to be addressed during the 30 day inspection. Most minor, but a handful of issues are pretty big.The assistant superintendent that did the walkthroughs did not seem very knowledgeable and seemed rushed. He also tried gaslighting us about and issue, saying the shower door is intended to only swing one way, which is incorrect, the issue is the alignment and or the tile floor. Our experience was very good. There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but that is expected for a new build. The only negative was being surprised by things that are not in our home that were in the model. That was a bit of a disappointment. Being a spec home there were no choices. Overall we are satisfied.

The home has high quality finishes and features. (Quartz counters, 2 a/c units, tankless water heater, paver driveway, double gates for yard, sherwin williams paint). My sales person was lazy. Handed me her master keys, no explanation or details. That is, when you could find her. Often I would go to the sales office and remnants of her were there - phone, purse, but her? No. I think she was fired, justifiably, before my close. Construction supervisor emailed saying I’d get weekly updates on the progress of the build. Got one in six weeks. If you asked him 3 questions, he answered one. So you had to follow up. He’s likely delegated some things, but not to a great worker… Construction supervisor has an assistant guy. Assistant guy gave incorrect information at walkthrough. Forgot to do our 30 day review. He’s newly hired and easily frazzled it seems. The house is great. The people are bla. Thank goodness I was local. I checked on my house myself. If this was an out of state purchase I’d have been furious. But I’m moved in now. The buying process is brief in the cycle of home ownership. So don’t let my review deter you. I just think Richmond needs better service. They build a great home! ... More

Suzanne was absolutely amazing. She was there from beginning to end. We never went a day wondering. She was so attentive. Chris the Assistant Super was so knowledgeable. He was very responsive to emails and concerns. There was not a question that he didn’t find the answer to. Because of Suzanne I would go through the buying experience over and over again.
