My overall experience with Richmond American Homes was a very disappointing process. I've had various issues with repairs and currently still need some touch up work done after being moved into my home for over a month. I was constantly told to input claims and after doing so multiple times on the same issues I would never get a response. I've had to be the one to make phone calls and get numbers to higher ups to make sure things would get done. I felt like I was doing the jobs of others and it was ultimately a huge inconvenience. I also had zero communication with my sales agent. When I originally signed on the home I was given a promotion that all my appliances would be given to me and upon moving in I was told my appliances were never processed by my sales agent. When I would ask questions about the details of my home she would put it on the job of someone else and could never provide me with answers to basic questions. Although I love the overall look and style of my home, the lack of communication and response to issues have caused more frustration than than joy and I feel overall displeased with the whole process. Builders did not disclose certain items to buyers, during and even after purchases. When discovered by buyers, builder were not responding to covered dispute/mediation. Not very trustful builder imho. Build quality is above average, except the painting workmanship, worst than regular DIYer. Builder should be more honest and more responsive to buyers' concerns/inquiries.

I’ve been told multiple things that we have been ghosted on from paint samples to another layer of brick for my back wall. Everything is fine until the day you move in, then we are left to hang dry after. My gas line won’t even allow me to put a walkway it is sticking so far out. I’ll be leaving more reviews anywhere I can about this. 450k for mediocre quality with lazy superintendents.

Moses, Tyler, Matthew are all horrible and very unprofessional. Richmond American Homes will lie to you and do anything to get your business and once they have it, they treat you very horribly and unprofessionally. I will be telling all friends and family to stay away from Richmond American Homes.

The homes are nice. Still waiting on the 30-day inspection and I’ve been living here for almost four months now. My home was kind of a rush job so things still need fixing.

The whole process was smooth and Denise really helped us through every step. Saul went above and beyond as well.

The lender used by Richmond is horrible. My sales associate Pam was amazing. The lender was in organized and wanted to change my closed date after driving 4 hours to Haines City. Their communication skill

Our house is quality built I do wish some changes could be made especially the closet arms if could be made of wood not the brackets there using but other than that everything was handled quick In response the team was effective financing was a breeze and guided I highly recommend also high ceilings

Overall we had a pretty good experience with you guys. The thing that torched our perspective was the absolute hassle we had to go through to get approved by your loan company. The house is wonderful, neighborhood is nice. Sales rep was great.

This was my 3rd new build and easily my best experience. Team was responsive, attentive and very knowledgeable. Everything I wanted was done in a surprisingly short amount of time. Everything I’ve asked for even after closing was done without question. Larry and Edgar are amazing.

Terrible experience not happy with home still waiting for several items to be fixed.

We couldn’t have anyone better than Noah H. As a sales person. He was extremely profesional, polite, knowledgeable with a wonderful attitude and responsiveness to every question that we had….. and we had a lot! Overall buying experience was excellent as first time home buyers. We never though it was going to be this easy.

Amanda was amazing! She’s very communicative and supportive. She walked me through the entire process and gave me construction updates almost weekly. She went above and beyond and came went to meet me at their office before they even opened. Jimmy and Kyle were great! They explained explained everything during my walkthroughs. Great customer service. During my final walkthrough, Kyle said, “We want you to be happy with your purchase.” He stuck to his word and fixed most of the discrepancies I found during my final walkthrough.

The overall homebuying experience, quality of the workmanship, materials is good. Responsiveness to issues reported is pretty quick and we did not had any major issues except cosmetic issues after we moved in. We are very happy with Richmond American service

Bad and cheap materials

We bought our brand new home from Richmond American Homes. We are very satisfied with quality of the home, clear communication and quick responses to questions and concerns. Overall, we had an excellent experience with David (construction supervisor), Rob (warranty) and his team, including Steven and Jen (loan officers).Thank you!

Purchased the home last year, purchase was not very efficient because there was to many people involved. A lot of moving parts in the purchase, which was ok but person helping with purchase did not communicate with us. I had to do a lot of follow up calls to find out delays and problems with build. We initially put down 1000 dollars and told we would get the money back, at the end we did not get it back. It was applied to the purchase price which was not part of the purchase. There was so many problems with the in house lender, starting from problems with uploading documents to the portal to the loan being underfunded by $50.00 which I had to pay through a bank transfer and had to pay $35.00 to close on the house. I do like the house, a few issued with the build, one of the windows leaks, the island in the kitchen has to be fixed and a few other issues. Love the neighborhood. ... More

Sales was great, kept us informed along the way. Construction was also great, even explained the progress when we dropped by once in a while. Title was very efficient. But the Lender was a bit more difficult. At one point our income was not completely documented after we had provided all the asked for info several times. This almost caused us to fall out… last minute! After we had sold our previous home and moved to temporary housing. The processor finally got it all straightened out and we closed on schedule.

My sales person Anthony was great! Followed up very well with my questions and paperwork. The superintendent Brian has been very helpful. However, the title company dropped the ball, very delayed forms, I only had 2 days. Big rush.

Weekly status updates of the our home construction with pictures from Graham was great and very helpful.

We had a good experience with our sales rep Betty from when we first met her. This made us proceed with the purchase of our home. We were told from the start that it would take 6-8 months to build & complete our home to which we were okay with. We finally moved into our home & after a few days of unpacking, decorating our new home, & having to finally get familiarized with everything, we noticed many things to which it looked like the builder/contractors rushed on installing. We have submitted a few warranty tickets already (Paul has been fantastic) but it is upsetting & ridiculous. I understand a new build home is not and will not be 100% perfect but considering that I’m paying almost $600k for a new build home, I expect the house to have proper installation on certain things. I should be able to move in and not have to worry about submitting a warranty ticket for such and such & waste my time or the contractors time to come out & fix the issue when it could’ve been installed properly the first time. I had to fix some improper installation myself & this is unacceptable. It makes us wonder about the quality of the house and how long it will really last. We love our house, the layout of it, & the staff we had made contact with along the way but we had wish for a better move-in experience, especially with a new build home. ... More

Half day home gallery selections. Need to make many decisions involving thousands of dollars in upgrades the same day. Absolutely no changes were allowed after the selection was done. I had asked for extra insulation bw floor after selection which was not honoured. The agent was rude and blunt. The use the signed contract when asked for any changes to prove their inflexibility. The attitude of sales agents change based on demand for the community. Their lender was subpar and could not even close my jumbo loan. They are probly ok for conventional loan. This wasted my time and efforts. ... More

Everyone I worked with was so friendly and helpful. I loved the entire experience. Would defienetly go with Richmond Homes again, but I don't think I'll ever want to part with the home we just got. I loved getting the weekly updates with pictures showing what was completed each week throughout the building process.

Baseboards aren’t straight, tile squares don’t line up, inside is horribly painted( paid 4k extra for that), granite countertops have paint all over them. Brand new carpets stained from workers. Cabinets are falling apart( again paid 6k extra for those) no hot water presssure in the shower. I could go on for days with the things wrong with this house. After paying almost a half a million dollars I expected my house to be in new condition. Would never recommend anybody to buy from Richmond American
