The sales staff, Aimee in particular, was outstanding in their responsiveness and knowledge of the home, the design and the materials/finishes. The lot location is just what we wanted. Our primary difficulty in this purchase was dealing with the policies of Shea Mortgage. NOT the staff, they were really good at working with us. But taking several months to finalize the mortgage qualification process in our particular case was ridiculous. Especially in light of the fact we could easily of paid cash. But, it seems all of those "Hoops" were necessary for them to be able to immediately sell our mortgage after closing. To run the customer ragged as happened was really unnecessary. Had there not been an $8,000 incentive attached to obtaining the mortgage through Shea, I would have gone with my local lender and had it done in 30 days without the added stress and work required of me in providing documentation upon documentation. I was pleased with the fact that after the contract and options were agreed upon, no additional surprise costs arose. Also, despite COVID, Shea was able to complete the home on time as scheduled.

My sales girl was my saving grace. She helped me with the many questions I had. Moving from another state, being homeless for nine months while my home was being built and traveling with three cats and a dog, across the USA, to stay with friends and relatives, during Covid wasn't easy. D. C. was so wonderful to answer all my questions often, and always within 24 hours.

A lot of sloppy work. Paint spots on floors. Crooked stove vent. Countertops installation half-assed. Multiple cabinet scratches. Cheap toilets.

Shea is a first-class builder with unmatched attention to customer experience. This is my fourth “new home” purchase and the best, to date. From the professional sales and mortgage team to the knowledgeable field manager and responsive customer service representative, Shea earn high marks. Highly recommended!

Shea homes has great home designs.

The customer service stands out the most about Shea. The co is prompt on home issues on flaws.

The first word that comes to mind when I think about the homes built by Shea is Quality. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you have walked into a home where quality really matters, from the finishings to the sturdiness of the building. The salesperson gave us a great tour of the entire community and was very knowledgeable about the area. She showed us homes that fit into our budget which, in turn, helped us find our new home. We also looked at the homes being offered by the other builders in the community but they were either out of our price range or did not feel like the same quality that the Shea Homes have. Shea also have a great customer service program after the sale. Our representative has gone out of his way to find and replace one of the tiny lightbulbs in the vent over our cooktop! All in all, our experience with Shea has been very positive. We love our new Shea home! (By the way, I never give the highest rating because that leaves nothing for you to strive for!) ... More

Our experience with buying a Shea Home was very exciting. From viewing the model homes, going to the Design Center, and watching the construction process, our family was very excited to move into our new home!

We feel lucky we were able to get a spec home given the housing market in Arizona. Watching the house going up was alot of fun, and Jason our superintendent was absolutely great. Christa was always helpful and prompt in returning our calls and helping with anything needed. Only a couple things that are minor would i change about the house. We love our new Shea home.

Personally want to thank Shea for our new home. It's our first. The experience has been very rocky at times, but overall I am happy to be in our home. Shea Mortgage was probably the best experience of all. However when it came to the building experience, the Design Center would be the worst. Followed by sales. Because there was a lack of accountability, we as new home builders rarely felt like we were given all of the information and/or could have been directed better. When something came up (and it did several times) we were told it was too late or we should have known better. I never try to blame others, it's not my thing but for the builders to blame the home buyers was a first. Now with the overall move in. So far we are getting things fixed in our first year but again, there seems to be a theme with Shea when it comes to clean, honest communication. ... More

Shea homes did an amazing job, from sales, to mortgage to customer care they knocked it out of the park. The team is absolutely amazing and if there are any issues they are on top of it. My only minor downfall is there are some areas of sloppy work done (by trades). There’s missing or streaky paint areas, work left incomplete and woth building a new home don’t expect it to be as clean as if you were buying someone else’s. There is construction dust, streaky windows an dirty window seals. But that’s all minor stuff. The overall quality and care they put into the home is phenomenal. As stated the team is unmatched, and the minor issues we had are all getting taken care of by the customer care team. I would highly recommend Shea homes to everyone! ... More

Service rep. Informed us of scheduled repairs but no one showed up. He forgot to send work orders to vendors. Work was eventually completed. Lag time from request to completion can be a few weeks.

We had a great experience with Laura on the sales side, and we’re probably here because of her forthrightness and good counsel, Ron our construction supervisor was very responsive, honest, helpful and delivered a great product, and Neal, our customer service representative, is a delight to work with and gets done what needs to be done to put the high gloss polish on our new home.
