We enjoyed the whole process. We looked at several homes. Sales team was very accommodating in showing us different floor plan thoroughly covered the HOA situation and the features in each smart home. Ultimately everything happened exactly as it was described to us.

The house is beautifull from the display but once you settle in things begin to appear out of place. I give an overall 3-star experince because the sellers witheld critical information or bully me after I signed the deal and found issues that needed correction and overall poor concept. For example, the guy that handed over the keys did not explain the working of anything in the smart home, shifting the responsibility to white glove that also did not deliver as promised. Same guy became hostile when I pointed out bulbs hanging from the ceiling in bathroom and closet saying the house was sold as is!!!! I have since realized the sprinkler system was broken, the dish washer storing water from the sink, several (about 10) bulbs sparking and blinking when turned on, 6 dead bulbs, security sensors on windows prevent fully opening curtains making it a shady job. The house is drowning in water from broken sprinkers (and maybe pipes as well) because moisture level about one foot high has appeared on the backwall of the house and fence, and the ground is extremely wet that water can be squeezed out of it. It looks like a known problem that was concealed and sprinklers turned on only during the short buying process. This particular problem should have been disclosed before signing as the soil has gradually become saturted with water. Empire's white glove technician stole all equipment and did not install Ring citing "no equipment on site" and has not returned it after my realtor ask them to bring it back. The technician also could not explain the working of the sound system and sprinkles. The design of the house is flashy but poorly conceived. Example placement of the dinning area is a complete failure, facing the toilet! The house does not receive enough natural light to not use lighting in the living area, kitchen and dinning area during the day due to shading of windows by a poorly spaced 2 storey neighboring building. Make sure to take a tour with lights on and out in order to assess the lighting situation of certain areas of the house. As a new home owner I feel taken advantage of and a bridge of trust and transparency as some of the problems only became apparent after signing a house that they say "was sold as is". ... More

Our overall home purchase experience with Shea Homes Encanterra at Queen Creek was excellent! Amber did an outstanding job from the beginning of our engagement with Encanterra Queen Creek, during the process, all the way to our escrow closing. The Design Team did a very thorough job of presenting the options for our home. Our Project Manager, Antonio, did a professional and thorough explanation during our construction progress visits. The escrow closing team was thorough, timely, and a great no-surprises experience. We closed on time. There were several minor maintenance issues with our home, but Matt has been extremely responsive. The issues were addressed right away without any problems. Overall, a wonderful experience! Bit more custom choices would be nice

What stands out the most about our home buying experience with Shea has been great people and fabulous, easy communication. This started with the realtor for the community, Berry Staub, who is kind and professional, always follows through, and has become a friend along the journey. Good communication continued throughout the build process as we worked with Wyatt and Kaleb - our project managers. This included emails detailing what stage of the build process we were in and also text communication from the PM's that included pictures of completed projects. They were both easy to talk to and discuss questions, concerns or just review the process with us; Issues were promptly addressed. At close, we were introduced to the warranty team who thoroughly reviewed how the warranty works, what is covered and what is not, how to register our appliances, and how to report issues, if any, All technology was also thoroughly explained by the Foresight team at a White Glove appointment. There were some unforeseen delays due to some design center choices that were discontinued, delayed, and/or arrived damaged, leading to 3 new design center choices being necessary many months into the build. As these weren't specifically Shea 'errors', yet were more related to stock and availability of items chosen, it is difficult to say that it was a Shea problem. What we would have appreciated being different: 1. An online catalogue of Design Center options that we could review prior to our one-time, 4-hour design center appointment. We were expected to quickly make ALL option choices for our home that were not considered structural (ie: cabinet color/design, flooring, handles, etc.) in this single appointment. This led to many back and forth emails with design and the process ended up taking over 6-weeks to complete the choices and to know precisely what the cost of our home would be. Having a second appointment with the designer -or- having the opportunity to review the choices before the appointment would likely have mitigated this long, drawn out process. As we were responsible to pay for the upgrades chosen at time of design center options being chosen, we expected that Shea would be purchasing these items for our home at that time. This is not the process, though. Items selected were purchased just before the build team would need to install them. 2. Some final details that needed touch-ups prior to close were not completed by our initial close date. In fact, it has been two months since we closed and one of the requested fixes is still incomplete. Although our warranty team and project manager are aware of the issue, the problem still exists. What could have/still could be done differently: follow-up with trades and customer to ensure requested work has been completed. Overall, would we buy from Shea again. Absolutely YES! Our home is wonderful and we look forward to enjoying it for years to come. ... More

very responsive to appointment requests.

Shea representatives from Sales to Building Sup’s and Support Staff, have been fantastic. Many are lifelong employees, which says A Lot, and they all seem to care about providing a great experience and buttoned-up final product. Of course, there are ALWAYS issues at the end of a build and after closing, and you can always expect minor fixes & finishes to be needed. Most frustrations we have had are scheduling trades to fix details post-closing and a few things that could have been avoided with more care during the build (again back to trades - not Shea or Shea employees). Great experience working with Sales and Construction team. Design center and Electrical appointments was also very pleasant. Shea Mortgage is very cooperative and made the whole closing experience a breeze. I am extremely happy with the entire home buying process through Shea. Modern elevation adds a very attractive look.

A really wonderful experience overall. Pre Inspection and care were truly exceptional. Follow-ups also were 100%. Lastly, a very easy close. We have owned many homes and this one makes us happy!

We were so impressed by the Shea home buying experience. Marci our sales rep was beyond attentive and helpful. When our project hit a delay she’s took care of all of our concerns and even gave us some incentives to cover the cost of the added temporary housing. What a great, honest, high quality company. We are in our dream home now and so happy for how it worked out.

The entire experience was a well-oiled machine. From sales to the designer to the builder to the home delivery. All aspects were on time, professional, and accountable. I've been through this process with 3 other builders in two other states and this process was the smoothest of all. Great experience!

Great experience. No issues. One question no one seems to know an answer too - what the heck is going into the common ground behind my home. Please respond - this is been going on for a month. No one knows. That’s ridiculous

All teams that we have worked with were amazing. Sales team kept us well informed of the progress. Construction team was very knowledgeable and were flexible in fixing any issues that we identified. The warranty team has been doing an awesome job of following up to ensure things are progressing as planned and all fixes are put in place immediately.

The Shea staff were very helpful through the process. Ted the Shea rep. was super and worked with us. He was very flexible and went out of his way to help us when we had to change our house choice at the last minute. I asked what Shea could do for a Veteran and they stepped right up and reduced our down payment by half. Once we moved in, the Shea rep. Scott has been super in taking care of all our requests for fixing certain items after we moved in.
