Our sales people Kris and Mike were so inviting and knowledgeable about the product while our super’s Jason and Joe were incredibly responsive and willing to accommodate our concerns. House is a 10/10 and somewhere we can see ourselves for the rest of our lives. So happy.

This has not been a good experience. Have been in house over 3 months and still dealing with necessary repairs and there seems to be no sense of urgency. My main concern is that the wood floors have never looked good and this was a very expensive upgrade. They were evidently never cleaned properly and there’s always been kind of a cloudiness and still has some adhesive smears here and there. The Shea warranty dept has made several attempts to take care of them but hasn’t been successful. I contacted Shaw, the manufacturer of this flooring and they emailed me detailed instructions on how to clean floors after completion of construction. They said if it ‘s done properly the floor should look like it just came out of the box but if not, they described it as a post construction haze. I’ll forward these instructions to Shea Warranty Dept. Until the floor is right I don’t want to put down new rugs, get new furniture, etc because it will all have to be moved out again to do whatever is necessary to make these floors look like they should. Turnover of staff / reduction of staff and lack of communications is reason for 4 stars. Build process takes too long.

Great attention to detail, any issues resolved quickly

Our sales experience was very good. Our sales person Ted was very helpful in helping us make decisions but wasn’t pushy. The Trilogy house designs are very well laid out. Construction, however, was a disaster. 22 months to build, constant oversight of quality needed due to lack of construction supervision. Poor quality of most trades, not corrected by construction supervisor. Very slow or nonexistent response to problems noted during construction. Now the warranty people are trying to fix a bunch of items left over due to the inattention of the construction supervisor. The location is great. I felt that Shea was underquailified to deliver this type of home. There was constant delays and the workmanship was just fair. I ahve bought many higherend homes and that were delivered much better.

Susan, Director of the Design Center, helped guide me through the process, doing an exceptional job! Will, the construction supervisor, incorporated many of my personal choices into beautiful finished options.

We love the community and the people. We love our house.

Not very flexible with desired changes

Shea Homes says NO to even any minor change that you ask for, and then turn around and build it for their company people buying homes in the same neighborhood. And this is for a subdivision built by Shea's supposedly upscale "Signature" division! They even changed the color of our home from what we contracted for!

Very pleased with the process.

I was told the build would be 12 months and it was 18. The workmanship is below average and quality control is non existent. Warranty service is a nightmare.

The build quality and workmanship is stellar. We are very happy with the new home. More than the house, the staff was humble, honest and very helpful. They guided me and answered every question I had without a slight hesitation. Special mention to Carmen from Ascent at Jorde Farms for the assistance and support she provided. She is the only reason we decided to go with the purchase despite our stretch in budget.

Enjoyed working with the Shea team. It wasn't perfect but they all worked together to provide a great new home for us .

Our salesperson and construction manager were excellent in every aspect of the process and in addressing issues that arose.

There are obvious problems with doors, windows, water pipes, refrigerators, and walls, and the emergency response speed is very slow.

Shea is a great home builder! Andrew, our warranty specialist, is great to work with!

From the Sales Rep to the Warranty Supervisor, the communication throughout the process was amazing. They truly made our house feel like our home from day one.

I think it is very tough to give a review when this is a seasonal home and we have only spent one week in it. We have not even had our first walk thru. I have had two appliance issues. Once had to be completely replaced and I had to fight just to get that done and the 2nd I had to fight with GE and still fighting. So I don't think filling out a survey is going to be very fair to anyone at this point until we know that our walk thru items are going to be handled at the first walk thru this week.

During the build process, Shea Homes changed my field manager multiple times for company reasons, not because the employee left the company. This practice delayed completion of the home. The final manager assigned had little to no project-management experience and did a poor job at quality assurance. I have a long list of items that need to be repaired or replaced. Thankfully, the home is under a one-year warranty.

This was the worst experience ever. I was told 10-12 month build time, it took 20 months to complete my home. No communication!

My experience was stellar. While there were a few hiccups because of weather, supply and labor shortages, I was kept informed every step and given updated timelines. Building materials seem solid. The array of interior upgrade options (flooring, cabinets, etc.) rocked. Overall, very satisfied.

Special call out to the sales team, Liz and Laura- and our project manager Brian and warranty coordinator Lala off to a good start. Overall build is good, its definitely not custom, but we new that going into the build. The day we took possession, the painter a few hours before we arrived, dripped white paint all over the floor- and left the doors open in 119 degree heat, creating a massive amount of insects inside the home that took a month to get rid of them- that was definitely frustrating . Problem with original design center team, but Shea Homes stepped up and did the right thing eventually, but at the time, that was very disappointing that we had to go through that experience, what should have been an awesome time at the design center, we left feeling insulted and really frustrated.
