Too many things to learn

I tried to think of some area for improvement, but struggled to write something meaningful. All-in-all a very positive experience.

Unfortunately, my wife and I are not happy with the home warranty team. Lack of construction experience, lack of understanding the homeowner complaint and understand the mess of customer service. Please see our list of serious problems since day one we moved in. Ready to meet any principal to explain.

Overall, the home buying experience was smooth and positive. The progress was well organized., and communication was clear and timely. We appreciated the support and guidance throughout each stage, which made the experience reassuring and efficient.

Always telling me why they wouldn’t help me. They don’t listen. They just have standard responses. Very disappointed with Shea

We’ve had a great experience with Shea Homes so far. The house itself has been very comfortable to live in, and the overall quality has been excellent. The sales office has been wonderful—professional, attentive, and always providing timely updates and detailed information throughout the process. The on-site inspection team was thorough and helpful during the walkthrough, and the customer service team has also been responsive and supportive. Overall, we’re very happy with our home and with the Shea Homes team. Thank you for making the process smooth and reassuring!

Design is not good for the kitchen, the cabinets are too low. It makes the work zone is useless

The house quality is very good. But the price is too high.

The entire home buying journey was unforgettable. From the very begining when I was in the interest list to the final when I got keys, every moment were excited. Sales person an home warrenty staff are very professional, friendly and kindness.

Very frustrating that after 2 months of buying a brand new home, Shea still has not done anything about our concrete driveway that is completely stained and dark. They have offered to acid wash it, which they still haven't done. We were told that doesn't work , they may not cover this at all. This is very unacceptable for a home over 3MM, and very disappointing that Shea wouldn't take care of this.

The house has a good arrangement which is helpful to rent. I like it. Shushan

My trust was broken when I was pressured to close versus what needed to be fixed and repaired on buyin a new product. Sad that a Superintendant tells me this is a production home. When I spent $750,000 in upgrades. Not a happy buyer

I had to deal with a lot of issues after i moved in. for example; heater did not work, ring doorbell had an issue. issue with pool access. issue with HOA.

We had such a bad experience during our first move in week there was a leak they had to open the walls and fix a plumbing issue, making it harder with all things getting wet and damaged as well as carpet it was so hard to get it fixed I had to call numerous times because I expressed it was a safety Issue since I have two kids because it was open. I had to miss work to be home for them to come and fix it after a month making hard because with a new home comes a lot of new expenses. It felt like they hurried to finish and it would be nice to get some sort of credit because of time missed from work and the unprofessionalism. ... More

Keys were handed over to me before a thorough inspection of the home was done. During the final walkthrough, appliances were not run. Move in day, There was no water whatsoever in the washing machine, so I was unable to wash work clothes. The ice maker also had no ice/water hooked up. When I called to get help, they said I was out of luck because it was a weekend! I couldn’t get a single person to come out to address the problem, each one emphasizing that it was a Saturday. I got someone on the line to help me hook up the water lines by myself. It was NOT easy to say the least. I assumed that the keys being handed over, meant the home was ready to move in to. Not the case! Had someone taken 5 minutes out if their “weekend” to properly hook up appliances, I would not have had to take additional time off of work. So unprofessional on the part of Shea Homes! We can’t give enough praise to the Shea team for their hard work. They were helpful, communicative, and knowledgeable from opening escrow to closing. Nissrin and Ada were excellent in answering all of our questions (even the dumb ones). Chrissy’s guidance with the design helped create a unique and timeless living space, and thankfully prevented my wife, Morgan, from picking a horrendous bright-blue tile in the primary bathroom. Sometimes with all the wonderful options available, some professional guidance is necessary. Roland ensured the finishes were perfectly executed, and Jason made sure our home will stay running smoothly for years to come. First time buying a new construction home. Home was delivered on time but there were several open issues that were rushed in order to deliver on time. From stucco repair issues, incorrect water softener, incomplete tile finishes, and even refrigerator issues. This house was close to $1M, I expected the service and quality to be better.

Sales lady was not helpful and was rude during closing, created so much confusion between the loan lender and us. The warranty guy sucks, doesn't even respond to emails, have items pending to be fixed from customer-walk through about 3 months ago. The Shea loan guy was just as bad, had to complain to his manager to get him to respond to my emails to get a Shea loan. Overall, almost backed out of the deal because of how horrible the staff and their dealing is. It was very stressful and frustrating at every step. The floorplan is great which is the only reason we bought it.

My purchase at The Cay at Mariner Shores was very smooth.

Water leak was found after close. Bathroom light was unable to turnoff and some other minor issues. Quality control seems to be substandard before closing.

Barely have response. My warranty ticket has been opened for months and it is still open. No update nor schedule. When I email Shea home warranty, it just replied the ticket is still opened. I can not rate any star for it. The reason for the 1 star is because the system do not allow me to select 0 star.

Did not appreciate the 11 text messages in 20 mins asking me to fill this out
