The Shea reps at the Enclave sales center were professional and helpful (Tamara and TJ). The experience at the Livermore design center was outstanding. Kristin was knowledgeable, professional and patient. The construction manager for my home, Dave, was courteous, professional and very accommodating. The Shea rep who did the walk through, Octavio, was outstanding and very responsive to my questions and concerns. I appreciate his help in everything he did, including the 30 day walk through. My primary complaint is that Shea homes is not very flexible in the options for their homes (for example, the use of hardwood on the stairs is not allowed), or making simple custom modifications (for example, widening a bedroom doorway for wheelchair access). ... From the initial visit at Dunes the sales office did a great job reviewing the lots and the purchase process. Our experience with Shea mortgage was very disappointing, the agent had no clues to look into our credit and assets . I would not recommend working with the mortgage company. Once we got our loan approval from another agent, the home buying became fun, the design center agent was very helpful to select options , the walk through was absolutely incredible, very thorough, and educational .

The house came with lots of premium features as standard, and we a re supper happy with the result!

Simple items that require attention since 02/01/23 have not been attended to. Typical approach after a sale is finalized. Would not have bought would I have known. I have discouraged partners interested in the community.

It has been a great experience purchasing my Shea home. Everyone we've met from the sales office to the service team is very professional and helpful, except for Michele in the Design office (I believe she is a VP of some sort), who told me to rethink if this is the right home for me when I requested some minor design changes during the design phase.

Two months and still no response as to when repairs are scheduled to be made

Did not enjoy the design center. The attitude of the designer made me think twice about any extras. Hence, I did the minimum. My son and I walked out shaking our heads.

Having prior experience with a new home purchase through another builder, we were pleasantly surprised with working with Shea Homes. Quality craftsmanship, seamless transition through the home purchase steps, and on-time delivery of new home.

We came across the Dunes several times and it was a decision between The Dunes and Sea Haven. Between The Dunes and Sea Haven, Sea Haven offered more details in their constructions and the price was comparatively the same. We finally decided on The Dunes due to several things: 1) Closeness to the ocean, 2) Lower HOA cost, 3) What you see is what you get (on the model homes as we were told) so we did not have to worry to much on the final cost of the house, 4) We were given the impression that we could customize our house as it was being built (not true!!!). Unfortunately the only thing that was true was the closeness to the ocean. The HOA turned out to be more expensive, no customization was allowed (looks like we missed the part of AS-IS). We could not even get an extra outlet installed during framing (completely doable). We were even willing to pay for it, but no. Overall, I would greatly reconsider if I had to redo it again. ... Shea was very responsive at every step of the way. We are very happy with our home. In full transparency, there were a few workmanship issues with the house (expected for houses being built at this scale), but Shea's customer service and warranty quickly addressed any issues and continue to follow up proactively.

We had a great experience with Shea homes. From the very beginning we felt part of the process, and enjoyed watching our home come to life. From the lot pick, to the upgrades and the design process we were walked thru with ease. The office representatives Bernadette and Josh were there to answer questions, and alot of them. The builders were very attentive to our concerns. Joe made sure to follow thru on our concerns through the entire process. The final walk thru, and monthly was also made very easy with Gary. Two of the big benefits of this home is that it is a smart home with every appliance connected and controlled via the internet and gas solar electricity with an EV plug for charging. It is easy to open the front door remotely, turn on lights, view security cameras, cycle the water heater for instant hot water, turn on the heat upstairs and downstairs and gave packages delivered from Amazon right into the garage via automated garage door access.

We had a fantastic experience purchasing our home through Shea Homes. The process from putting down a deposit to moving in is so streamlined and easy to understand. The Shea Homes team members are very professional and quick to respond to questions or concerns. In the current real estate market, purchasing a home can be a very stressful and daunting process. Buying through Shea Homes took all the stress off of bidding wars, losing offers, and all the other issues in buying a pre-existing home. The best part is that we did not have to endure living through a remodel. Most of the homes in our area are very old and out-of-date. My experience with Shea was very good from start to finish of home. Communication was great and no issues with Shea's responsiveness. Was given the name of a job site foreman who kept me posted along the way of construction, which included several walk throughs of the home before it was completed. I highly recommend Shea as a home builder.

The Shea Team! Isaac, Cody, Brian, Josh, Bernedette, June, Jinny, from the initial visit to the office through the complete moving the Shea team is the best. Isaac particular attends to many matters. Despite his very busy schedule he goes way over the call of duty is to help us. Having purchased new houses from two other nationwide builders, Shea homes is the best and they try to please the clients very well. The quality for building material and the workmanship gets five stars. We ordered options which are way beyond normal! It was a great experience buying the Shea home in Dunes. The build quality was top notch, and the mistakes were quickly corrected. We knew this going in because we already bought a Shea home in the past. The sales staff here at the Dunes took care of the preliminary requirements and guided us all through the purchase process. Most commendable was the staff that took care of fixing the construction defects. Isaac was always available to address our concerns and he showed us how to make the most of the features of the house.
