From the initial visit at Dunes the sales office did a great job reviewing the lots and the purchase process. Our experience with Shea mortgage was very disappointing, the agent had no clues to look into our credit and assets . I would not recommend working with the mortgage company. Once we got our loan approval from another agent, the home buying became fun, the design center agent was very helpful to select options , the walk through was absolutely incredible, very thorough, and educational .

Did not enjoy the design center. The attitude of the designer made me think twice about any extras. Hence, I did the minimum. My son and I walked out shaking our heads.

My experience with the builder could have been better. The house is okay... Because of when I purchased the home, I was not able to choose any options/ upgrades. Therefore, there are many materials use in the house I do not like. I will now have to spend a lot of money upgrading my house....

We came across the Dunes several times and it was a decision between The Dunes and Sea Haven. Between The Dunes and Sea Haven, Sea Haven offered more details in their constructions and the price was comparatively the same. We finally decided on The Dunes due to several things: 1) Closeness to the ocean, 2) Lower HOA cost, 3) What you see is what you get (on the model homes as we were told) so we did not have to worry to much on the final cost of the house, 4) We were given the impression that we could customize our house as it was being built (not true!!!). Unfortunately the only thing that was true was the closeness to the ocean. The HOA turned out to be more expensive, no customization was allowed (looks like we missed the part of AS-IS). We could not even get an extra outlet installed during framing (completely doable). We were even willing to pay for it, but no. Overall, I would greatly reconsider if I had to redo it again. ... We were the first house to be delivered in a new phase and very openly felt like Shea delivered us the home too early. There were many issues with the house that we are still working on fixing over a month later. We don't even have a mailbox yet and have to pick up our mail from the post office! The home was not setup with usps so we could not get internet service until after we moved in. The OneTouch experience to setup all our home was difficult to coordinate and we still don't have everything setup. Overall we have not been pleased with the experience we sold vs. what Shea delivered.

Responsiveness is totally Zero Warranty guy does not want to fix problems After paying very very large amount for house , the finishing product ( the house ) is totally Disgrace , The warranty guy has either been fired Or not interested in fixing the warranty work It almost 2 months no body Responding from Shea Homes 831 920 8496

Simple items that require attention since 02/01/23 have not been attended to. Typical approach after a sale is finalized. Would not have bought would I have known. I have discouraged partners interested in the community.

Two months and still no response as to when repairs are scheduled to be made

Quality of workmanship is pathetic. Follow-up has been even worse. We've had our 1-month walk through 2 months ago and 90% of the items on the list are still not addressed. Here are some of the things that they missed the mark: damaged cabinets, uneven handles, damaged countertops, sharp objects protruding under flooring, uneven walls, slanted walls, damaged window, exterior wood voids, irrigation system that bangs pipes/walls, no pressure reduction valve, the list goes on.....
