Here's a stronger but professional version: We bought a million-dollar home from Shea Homes expecting quality craftsmanship and a smooth experience. Unfortunately, every step of the process has been frustrating. From construction defects to warranty issues, it has been one challenge after another. The construction quality has been far below what you'd expect for a home at this price point, and getting issues resolved has been difficult and time-consuming. This has been a very disappointing experience, and based on what we've gone through, I can no longer recommend Shea Homes to friends or family. Confidence and peace of mind are the biggest attributes of my Shea home. I observed the building process every step of the way and was impressed by every detail of quality that was put into my new home. I know it is the highest quality, with tight tolerances, no corners were cut, no gaps in the trim, no missing paint details. The trades were all exceptional, the design center is extraordinary with the people they have to help and the choices you can make. The warranty follow up and the attentiveness after purchase is just as great as it was during the building and buying process. We recently purchased a spec home from this builder, and the entire experience—from contract to move‑in—was smooth and straightforward. The home’s quality and craftsmanship are excellent, and we feel we received great value. The community itself is beautiful, with miles of trails, scenic foothill views, and a thoughtfully designed layout that makes it a truly enjoyable place to live. The builder’s team was professional, responsive, and consistent in delivering what they promised. They answered questions quickly and made the process feel easy.

Builder was very organized and trustworthy thru entire process from start to finish

It’s hard for me to accept that when you buy a home the brand new oven trips the breaker. Shea knew before the purchase and said nothing. Now I’m stuck waiting on a part that is three more weeks out to hopefully fix the issue. It’s already been 10’ weeks. I’ve now learned it’s a know issue with many homes in the area. Overall quality of home is very good. Warranty service on construction defects excellent. Value for money in today’s market is questionable, but that is an individual choice. Having owned 8 brand new homes in that last 49 years, Shes is good only disappointment is lack of attention to yards outdoors. Enough said.

Working with the PMs were great, all of them were punctual, easy and quick to respond, updated us constantly to know where we are in the process. We even were ahead of the target date and that was relayed to us for preparation of the move. Overall a great experience for my first new build

We recently built a Stonehaven in the Canyons. James was our Field Supervisor and Jill is our warranty specialist. James has great attention to detail and even one of the Douglas County housing inspectors told me : "this team at the Canyons builds some of the best homes I've ever seen". The fellow from CDI (a free Shea service) got all our locks, garage doors, HVAC, and light dimmers talking to one another, loaded them on our phones, and connected to Alexa. At our one month warranty check in , Jill got the 3 minor issues we had resolved quickly. We love our house, our neighbors are great and Shea is so well organized and professional. ... More

The whole home buying experience was actually pretty easy. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The bill quality of Shea Holmes borders on five stars. I gave it four stars because they were just some silly finishing mistakes that really should’ve been captured and addressed prior to us moving in. Mostly painting so it was just cosmetic touchup stuff but still at the price point they should’ve found these.

The quality and craftsmanship of the home are outstanding. The followi-up warranty support have been excellent.

As new residents to Colorado, we stumbled upon the Lyricas we were transitioning from leasing to purchasing. Ideal location, spacious home, good workmanship. We made a great choice.

We built a nest egg and sold it to buy this home for us, our daughter and mom. Also because it will grow in equity much faster than the established neighborhood we were in. We are thrilled with the home and saw 30k of equity before we even moved in! Our nest egg is growing while we get to enjoy it! I hope more people knew about this opportunity.

The entire process has been top notch. The sales team including Donna were extremely helpful. The quality of the home is top notch and built very well. The entire team helped me the entire way through the process and made it all easy with lots of updates. I just finished the one month warranty walk through and they went above and beyond to help with items as well. A ++

Seamless experience from start to finish with attention to detail.

Shea homes builders are not friendly in nature. completely they are thinking as business gain, no customer favor. some are not standard but they are always telling it meet shea standard. Even customer paid for options, not reaching up to standards. No honesty at all. No proper response from shea homes builder and no choice to talk from customer perspective and no response from shea homes builder. Quality wise its not good as per what customer paid. Need to improve a lot in all sectors.
