This is our 3rd Shea home. Great builder!

This was the 2nd home we have built in CO. Our first experience was fine, but after working with Shea it really contrasted the whole experience. Shea was so much more professional and communicative throughout the whole process. From emails to texts to phone calls I was getting a response almost instantly. That was when I reached out, which I hardly had to do since Shea was very proactive in their communication. Such a positive experience.

From beginning to end, Shea was amazing. The sales, construction, and warranty team have been very responsive, helpful and professional with our questions. The “standard” options were far better than other builders for a fair price and the upgrades equally as fair. We love this house and are so happy with what Shea has provided.

Shea is a good builder. We've built two homes with them, However the Canyons home has sloppy workmanship. Many items were installed wrong, banged up, loose, missing, incomplete, not working etc

From start to finish you're simply a # to Shea. They clearly do not care if you have a positive home-buying experience and will cut corners whenever possible. Their trades are subpar at best and their Project Managers have little control of the quality of their work. The excuses for the inferior workmanship come fast and furious and in the end you're left with whatever they choose to deliver to you. At closing our home was not finished and we were left with more excuses. Now two months post-closing and our over-priced $10,000 fireplace still doesn't work. The Rinnai tankless water heater with recirc pump does not deliver hot water and is riddled with glitches making our lives miserable. We have sagging floor boards, nails protruding from the pull-trowel drywall finish and constant electrical issues and these are just a few of the ongoing problems. In the end, I could never recommend Shea to any homebuyer. You'd think that due to their size they'd have safeguards in place to ensure they can deliver a home that is of modest quality but you quickly realize they are so big that they simply do not need to care if you like it or not. ... Great home building and buying experience

garages are extremely small and no 4 car option. Numerous issues in need of correcting after close. Appliance options are poor. Monogram is a terrible product! There's no flexibility in finishes and few options.

We loved working with Shea and could tell we were getting a superior product. The home and neighborhood have lived up to our expectations and we couldn’t be happier. I tell myself everyday how lucky we were to find this home in this community.

Building a new home has a lot of layers involved! There are processes and people put in place with Shea to help every step of the way. They are very responsive, patient, and knowledgeable. I am so in love with our new home and couldn't have done it without the Shea team!

As builders go they are one of the best.

Shea has this nailed down. The communication was on point, the way the company is structured lends itself to an overall positive buying experience and a great final product. This is my 4th Shea home and they have all been great homes.

We were huge fans of Shea Homes (repeat buyers), but the quality of workmanship in our new home is extremely disappointing. We were so excited to move into a new Shea home, but have been dealing with frustrating warranty issues since we moved in ten weeks ago (one representative says they will fix it, but the other says they won't), and still are dealing with obvious issues that we assumed would be covered such as dirty carpet from the subs, grout overspray on our brand new tile, an irrigation system which leaks, nicks on our brand new cabinet hardware, cabinet installation issues, shoddy paint quality, and the electric hook-up to the clothes dryer not functioning, resulting in us not having a clothes dryer since we moved in ten weeks ago. Regarding this issue with the dryer, we were informed by our warranty representative that it is not an "emergency" issue so we were put off several weeks. We question how much of an emergency this situation would be considered to be if it were a Shea employee experiencing no clothes dryer for more than two months. We actually purchased a new dryer (and washer) because we assumed our old dryer was the problem, but it turns out to be an electrical issue, so we likely didn't need to invest in new expensive appliances. We would be so pleased to refer Shea to our friends as a reputable builder who stands behind its product, but are frankly very disappointed with the outcome of the purchase of what we hoped would be our dream home. All of our new neighbors share the same frustrations, so please listen to these suggestions. Our advice to Shea is to scrutinize the talent and intent of the subs you hire, so as to ensure that they don't undo each other's work, and can effectively verbally communicate with the customer . You advertise a great product, and your floor plans and lot plans are excellent, but your finish and warranty work needs a lot more attention. Shea delivered us a great well built home. We couldn’t be happier. Everyone we worked with was excellent.

Shea seems more committed to the building process and following established protocol vs. delighting the customer when a problem surfaces or a simple request is made.

When going over the options the sales team encouraged you to shop around for the best options for your needs and lifestyle. They didn’t try to encourage you to just buy what they offered.

Shea made the entire process informative, friendly, and fun! We enjoyed every step of the process. Highly recommend!

The cheapest materials are used and the upgrades are way overpriced.

This is our second new build and the experience with Shea was much better than our last experience. The Shea team was very responsive throughout the process and went above and beyond. Now that we are in our new home they continue to quickly address any warranty items. Their homes are high quality and and up-to-date with the latest technology and smart products.
