My experience with Shea homes has been wonderful. Buying and building this home has been quite a challenge. In the past I was blessed to have a wonderful husband by my side to share all the decisions that needed to be made. This time, however, I was flying solo. Shea helped make this process much easier by helping me every step of the way. I really appreciate the process they have in place to ensure everything is taken care of and nothing falls through the cracks. All of my questions were answered and all of my calls are always returned promptly. Unfortunately there were many delays in the process but I was always kept informed of the reasons for the delay. When it came to the closing, communication was very helpful regarding wiring money, help with utilities, appointment reminders, etc. The Home Warranty was a great help. Any issues that came up after I moved in were quickly resolved. I am very pleased with the quality and the workmanship that is in my home. I also can speak very highly of all of the individuals I’ve met during this process. From the initial contact to the design meeting, general construction manager, and all of the other individuals involved with my home, everyone has been very professional, helpful, genuine, honest, and friendly. My husband and I renovated an old farm house and have built two custom homes in the past. These experiences were very stressful and made me question if I would ever build a home again. Shea builds a quality product but do very from the models, no changes on base product. It seems like they end up being cookie cutter projects.

On a whole our experience while having the house built was a good one. We were kept apprised of all aspects of the build by our building manager. We were sent weekly photos of the progress. We had the walk throughs and everything was explained to us. When the house was presented to us it was an easy process that explained all aspects of the home to us. So far we have been happy with the timely manner in which the team has fixed things that have come up.

Overall good experience especially from the prospect of buying g from across the country. Wish we had a few more choices with regard to interior paint.

Overall, our experience has been fairly positive, especially regarding the responsiveness with issues with our home after we moved in.

Troy, Kristine and Laura have done a great job in quickly responding to and addressing issues that arose once we moved in. Tremendous, timely response and resolution of those issues.

Great place to spend the quieter stage of life

The quality and workmanship is outstanding. my only complaint is the cabinets. The kitchen cabinets aren't deep enough to the wall., not what we'er used to. the bathroom cabinets aren't deep enough to the wall and the bath cabinet drawers aren't deep enough vertically. I could stand my Gillette foamy can upright in the drawer at her former house I can't here I have to lay it down. I tried to install a metal rack in the cabinet to solve that problem but the rack wouldn't fit. It was too long by about an inch and a half so I'll be returning the rack to the store. It is taking a long time to do the final paving of the roads. The flooring scratches very easily and the paint used inside is very cheap but for the most part the home is nice.

My Trilogy experience has been fantastic from touring the facility to closing. Everyone has been absolutely incredible: the attention to detail, responsiveness, quality and value. I can’t say enough at how pleased I am. Everything I planned for in my home was perfect. the communication throughout the entire process was awesome, especially given I lived 5 hours away. Trilogy accommodated me for on-site appointments and answered any questions throughout the process. The facilities and complex are beautiful, so many things to do and wonderful neighbors throughout. the attention to detail is impeccable from my home throughout the community, and in both clubhouses. it’s the only Community I looked at, and I am absolutely loving it! ... To date our overall experience has been very good . We love our home and the trilogy community ! The sales and customer service teams have been very responsive . The community and amenities are fantastic . We have some quality issues with our concrete that have left us disappointed and hold us back from fully recommending Shea .

Our home buying experience with Shea was outstanding from start to finish! We were interested in their spec homes and Frank reviewed the various models with us numerous times. He was an unending treasure trove of information. All of the office staff and ambassadors were really great to work with. When we decided on a spec home our experience got even better. We were introduced to Seth, our construction manager who also answered our trillion questions with unending patience. The entire team kept us in the loop as they finished building our home. We were definitely WOWED when we saw the finished product. There were very few issues during our initial walk-through and again during our 1 month review, but all were handled expeditiously and to our satisfaction. I searched the Winchester VA area online for 55+ communities, including with Google Earth at street level. The latter was very little help because Trilogy east is still under construction. The Shea website for Lake Frederick was most helpful for previews and prices of models. Dan Wall was very helpful through the contract process. Sight and Sound failed me, my agent actually forgot to order my television equipment. Their Techs showed up and had no television to install.

Workmanship very good, only small issues with new home that are addressed in reasonable timeframe! Regularly conducted inspections help to uncover and resolve any issues.

All personnel respond to all my issues in a timely manner.

From the moment we walked into the sales office every one was great to work with, no pressure just a professional approach and giving us many good reasons to live in Triology. We knew this was the place for us and we are so happy we chose this wonderful community as our forever home.

Very well-informed team that worked with us from the beginning through completion of our designer home. We love the area and ammenities that Lake Frederick has to offer. The warrany team goes above and beyond to make everything right after move-in and 1 month.

The purchase, building, and follow-up on our new home was a pleasurable experience. We loved the process and love it here as well.

I am a firm believer that everything happens when it's supposed to happen. I had looked at this house about 4 or 5 times and was lucky enough to be able to purchase it when my house finally sold.

Dan was awesome to work with. He answered all our concerns/questions promptly and was the ultimate professional throughout the buying process.

I had a wonderful experience in buying my Shea home. I met with Dan and he showed me the model homes and explained the differences. I wanted no steps and was assured that there was a model with no steps. We drove around and I chose a lot based on the information Dan gave me. I had been looking for over a year before I found Trilogy. Mike sent me weekly updates once building started. The trip to Sight and Sound and the design center was wonderful. With their guidance and my budget in mind, I was able to choose communication and finishes. The bottom line I love the house. I don’t like leaving reviews that are less than great but sometimes it just is. Lots of imperfections in the drywall can be seen once painted. The builders paints is seriously watered down which can be seen in the coverage. Whoever lays the sod does a terrible job and it is not because it shrinks, way to much space between rows which creates ruts. To fix they put down dirt filled with stones and seed which I am to water twice a day. That isn't what i paid for. They had to replace 2 toilet tanks that were cracked, and 4 doors had to be fixed because they didn't close right. The floors are beautiful and good workmanship as are the cabinets. ... More
