We have been blessed enough to build new homes but this was definitely the easiest process and the attention to detail has been outstanding, from design to project management to warranty. We would recommend Shea to anyone. You will get a team of professionals that sincerely care about your experience.

While not all was perfect with this new build, the response to my small issues has been immediate. I like the fact that we have 3 separate opportunities during the first year to note any deficiencies and have them addressed. Have not experienced any negative feedback from any Shea personnel. They have all been helpful. I look forward to enjoying many years in my new home.

A little overwhelming for me as a single elderly woman. There is so much that needs to be done other than buying a home. I believe I've got most of it done but it has taken some time. I think the o ly disappointment I experienced was the new home owners meet. All the info given was great, but I thought I would get a chance to meet new neighbors. I think it would have been nice for people to introduce themselves and share a little.

We had a great buying experience. Construction team and warranty team have been excellent communicators and their follow-up exceeds expectations.

We are pleased with quality of our home for the price. We like the home layout, the desire to please client with both house walkins before closing and subsequent months after closing. Would buy from this company again

due to circumstances we did not immediately move in,our mortgage payments were mailed to us,the only way i knew about payment was when you sold my mortgage,no contact ,no emails zero

Nellie made sure that we knew all of our options and helped us choose the home model of our dreams and that which we could afford. Since we moved from the northeast, we were limited in our ability to fly down and track the progress. Nellie made herself available for us, by phone, text and in-person. Carolyn Ann gave us regular updates on the build and inspection processes. She, too, was responsive to our calls and texts, and she made herself available when we were able to fly down to see the house in different stages. Tammy made the whole experience of finding the right home for me super easy and fun. Everyone involved was knowledgeable and helpful.

Being from out of town we relied on Orlando immensely. He was amazing! Kept us Informed by sending photos and update via text and emails. Questions we had were answered most times, within minutes if not, within an hour. The entire team from start to finish including an issue with the A/C were there to help at every turn!

My house was selected prior to a model being built..I picked out brick for the outside with the sales office..after the house was built I was told my model couldn’t have brick on the outside..if I had been informed I would have chosen a different house…thus, my house has no curb appeal even after I paid an extra 20,000 for the lot that now has a very large apartment complex behind it.. I was told there would be trees and landscaping…as of now just weeds

I was constantly getting requests for information, over and over. Should ask for it all at once. The design studio is totally inadequate. Much too small, and the person in charge of it needs to be more available. There are also way too many selections that should be standard, and items should not be grouped together.

Once you sign the contract for your new home the fleecing begins. Everything you saw in the model home now becomes “extra”. What you signed for is a very cheaply made bare bones shell that you now have to pay for upgrades to. Our upgrades that really are not good quality nor what we would actually pick ourselves came to around $180,000 additional. On top of that you were stuck with combos that they made you purchase together. For example, cabinets came with predetermined countertop and tile. Want.a nice cabinet? Get a cheap countertop. Want a nice countertop? Get a cheap cabinet. Since we had already signed the contract we opted for nothing and are gutting the house and getting what we want for half the cost. Great Location and value for affordable prices

From our first meeting to post closing it has been a very smooth process. In the beginning we were just looking and we were not sure of our timeline. There was no pressure. When we were ready was up to us. Once we pulled the trigger everything moved quickly and flawlessly. The home is beautiful and we love it! It is so beautiful my sister just bought a house from Shea!

It has been a wonderful experience. Working with Tammy was great. In addition, Dan, the warranty specialist, has been great as well.

not working lighting with found not to code electrical wiring, attic light left on, backwards install door locks, 2-inch crowned tile in living room, ongoing not fixed broken irrigation box with box lid not secured, Heating and Air drainage issues, 2 inch crowned bottom frame of kitchen island.

Overall, our production home was good quality even though I felt we paid a bit of a premium price for it. As the sixth home we've built, including two custom homes, the workmanship quality was only above average. There are multiple areas where walls are not true or square. Finish work was good, but had several issues they were unable to resolve. Example: base trim in one area is crooked partially because a floor tile is not set correctly. Instead of trimming around the tile, they put on the base and caulked around it. I would recommend a VERY thorough walk-thru to catch everything possible before closing. Although service follow up is attentive and helpful, not everything can be effectively corrected after the fact. Example: we don't want to tear out a wall section, plumb it, replace dry wall, mud, and paint after we've moved in. As a production builder, I would rate them 4.5 on quality and 5 on service. Price is 4.0 because we paid a premium price and didn't get a premium finish. ... More

I own a Shea home in the Preserve and its beautiful, very well built, no complaints. About 5 years old now. I decided to build a second home (Villa) and have been very disappointed with the process, they were very rude before closing, and the quality of the workmanship. There are so many things wrong and still waiting to get some of them fixed. The dishwasher didn't work. Instead of replacing it, I had to wait 3 weeks for parts, paint spots all over the floors, crooked light switch, shower leaks, shower pressure low.. If I had it to do over I would not buy again. Dan, the warranty repair person has been great. The WIFI which is included in the HOA was a nightmare to get turned on, and so many of the appliances rely on WIFI, it should be done BEFORE you move in. ... More

Was a terrific experience, Tammy at sales office was such a pleasure to work with. Dan the warranty officer has been very helpful and attentive. Facilities and staff at Club and pool are great.

the build time exceeded over a year. this was unacceptable and caused us to lose our rate lock. our construction manager was fantastic and communicated terrifically.

Took way too long to build this house. It would sit for weeks at a time with nothing getting done. After an entire year they still changed our close date and messed up our schedule to get additional work done. I would not have purchased if I knew then what I know now. We would have never started working with Kristen if we knew then what we knew later......she made the experience uncomfortable. Also. house appraised for a fair amount less then what we paid for it,

I was confident from the beginning that I could trust the exceptional people I was dealing with to deliver an exceptional home. Tammy, the community representative, got right back to me at times when I wouldn't have expected an immediate response and the same was true for James, my foreman. Upon closing, the wider scope of people I was introduces to were all so welcoming and helpful. The detailed book that Shea compiled with information about what and how to care for all of the components of my home was equally professionally done and the fact that there are warranty walk throughs for a year after completion shows that they are claiming responsibility for their work and are concerned about your satisfaction. ...
