Mine was a somewhat complex situation, in that l . live out of state and was often times out-of- country. I hadn't brought a home in decades, so much has changed and my first 55+ development, so was new to all that applied. But the staff was very patient and great! I appreciated that!

I have purchased many homes over the years but never was I so impressed with the quality of construction as Shea. Every member of the team from sales to customer service was terrific to work with.

Great craftsmanship throughout the home

I've been in my Shea Homes property for two months, and unfortunately, the experience has fallen well short of expectations. Staff turnover has been significant and disruptive: the original sales representative is gone, the initial lending agent is no longer with the company, and the HOA contact has also changed. This constant churn has made continuity and accountability feel nonexistent. The warranty software/system was switched mid-process, and the transition was far from smooth—leading to delays, confusion, and repeated follow-ups on my end just to get basic issues addressed. Communication between phases (sales → construction → warranty → HOA/community management) has been consistently poor. Information often gets lost, responses are slow, and it feels like each department operates in silos rather than as a cohesive team supporting the homeowner. While the build quality isn't outright disastrous, several aspects of the home's finish and materials have not met the level I expected from a premium builder like Shea. Issues that should have been caught during construction or early warranty periods persist or have been inadequately resolved. Shea markets itself as delivering exceptional communities, and I will acknowledge that the neighborhood amenities, layout, and overall vibe are indeed strong selling points—arguably unmatched in the area. That said, when comparing value, other builders' homes on the market often appear to offer more square footage, better finishes, or stronger "bang for the buck" at similar price points. At this stage, I feel like I overpaid for a house where the community and support systems seem to work against the homeowner rather than for them. The promise of a seamless, high-quality experience hasn't materialized, and it's left me regretting the decision despite loving the location. It was such a great process from initial deposit to move-in. Everyone involved, Melba, Vee, Michael, were awesome. We are so happy to be living here.

Responsiveness and listening are the two words I will use to describe all the people I encountered in my Shea home purchase journey.

With the exception of our outstanding Sales Rep, Amy, this home purchase experience was very stressful and frustrating. The production team lacked follow through and adequate communication. The Sales leadership is difficult to work with. Despite all of this, our warranty team is responsive, and we are pleased with the overall build quality of our home. We enjoy living in such an active community.

Great buying experience from start to finish.

We have bought several custom and spec homes over the past 30 years and this was, without question, the most organized, transparent, simple, and painless home-buying process we have encountered. Kudos to the Shea staff who assisted us every step of the way from sales, design, construction, to warranty.

The house construction was excellent. The warranty team has been outstanding. The cabinet selection was average - wish there were better options.

As with any new buildout, we too expeienced some minor issues. Theresa has been phenomenal is helping us get our issues resolved to our satisfaction. She ALWAYS goes (way) above and (way) beyond and does not let up will our issue to resolved to our satisfaction. She has made the after sale experience easy to deal with :)

Pre-occupancy walk-throughs are very nice.

Jennifer in sales has benn great all the way through. She is always available to answer any questions???s even on her day off. She is the best and made the buying experience so fun

House was built pretty well. Only one issue. It takes a minute and a half to get hot water at the kitchen sink because they did not install a circ pump. Seems crazy to waste 1.5 gallons of water in Las Vegas every time we need hot water. Its on us to fix it they did nothing. For $820,000 you would expect a little better.

We were very happy with every stage of our purchase and construction process. We were able to visit our construction site every week and were kept up to date on the construction by our superintendent, Guy.

All charges were not disclosed up front (SID). Didn’t find out about it until signing contract. I was told certain things were included in the HOA which were not. The solar company that I had to sign a contract with filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, leaving me in limbo. There were overcharges on documents sent to the loan company. Still waiting to hear back from the HOA management regarding a correction on my account. I will say Frankie went to bat for me regarding building issues. I truly appreciate his willingness to help and make things right for me. Mike has also been great answering any Warrenty questions and responding very quickly. Have nothing good to share. Lending department was nothing but harassment for months, several structural concerns that are being ignored, HOA that demands everything but returns nothing. Still stuck in legal mitigation over a solar lease we were forced into by Shea and told that it is our problem. Product and experience is not worth the money.

Sunnova is undergoing bankruptcy procedures and the homeowners are not being kept up to date on what is happening. We are new and have no idea when our solar system will be connected. More transparency is needed.

Our first day at the sales almost turned us off. When my wife asked a question, the salesperson, said, “You weren’t listening.” After this initial experience, that sales agent was friendly, helpful, and professional. Frankie, our construction manager was exceptionally friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He kept in consistent contact with us. Theresa, our warranty representative, has been professional and timely service so far.

Guy and Mike were both great. Mike especially really helped us out and "held our hands" as needed to cross the finish line and he continued to reach out and keep us informed. The issues for the 4 stars were mostly small, but needed addressing. There were issues with the carpet and "tacks" sticking up which pricked feet as we walked on the edges. On the price, as we got the eggs in our basket, the price increased at least two (2) times. I realize that things can increase, but it seemed overly aggressive.

I don’t think the workmanship ( ie cabinetry, electrical quality etc ) is very good As well as how parts were designed Also upon buying there should have a bit more ability to make changes
