I moved in 10 weeks ago. I was disappointed the way my home looked in the walk thru. I understand there will always be issues. Will walking thru my walk thru I noticed I had no hardware on my upgraded cabinets. Now for 10 weeks I am opening all cabinets with no hardware in my home and I am ruining my cabinets pulling them open uneven. I have given shea a reasonable time to install my hardware for cabinets.. My patients has wore thin. Now some of my drawers are making noise when I pull them out and the wood is gouged on some drawers. I hold shea responsible and will hold shea to correct all problems with my drawers. We move to shea to be happy. This is our second Shea Home build so our expectations were extremely high based on our first experience. Boy were we in for a major let down. All Shea employees that we deal with are exceptional and appear to be caring. However, the quality of workmanship pales in comparison. The number of items needing repair is ridiculous. Although our service rep is always on top of our every concern and there are many, getting the trades in and actually doing repairs has been a major challenge at times. And when they do come they will not go above or beyond what is on work order if they do anything. This has lead to recalls and more delays/frustrations. At this point we are extremely concerned about the quality of workmanship in the not so obvious areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. We can only hope for the best and wait for 5 and 11 month walk-throughs to catch any hidden surprises. ... Have nothing good to share. Lending department was nothing but harassment for months, several structural concerns that are being ignored, HOA that demands everything but returns nothing. Still stuck in legal mitigation over a solar lease we were forced into by Shea and told that it is our problem. Product and experience is not worth the money.

All charges were not disclosed up front (SID). Didn’t find out about it until signing contract. I was told certain things were included in the HOA which were not. The solar company that I had to sign a contract with filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, leaving me in limbo. There were overcharges on documents sent to the loan company. Still waiting to hear back from the HOA management regarding a correction on my account. I will say Frankie went to bat for me regarding building issues. I truly appreciate his willingness to help and make things right for me. Mike has also been great answering any Warrenty questions and responding very quickly. It’s been 3 month since closing and we are still waiting on some things to get fixed. Painters specifically never show up between the time period they tell you to wait.

Dishonest sales office and supervisor. Lied about available floor plans in order to up sell. Lied about reasons for extensive delays and failed to take responsibility, simply blaming others for mistakes and problems. Disrespected me as a client. Failed to acknowledge my extreme disappointment with the entire home buying experience.

House was not ready during our walk thru. People weee still working and cleaners were there too. Missing shower doors, bad workmanship, lots to be fixed
