Great experience. No issues. One question no one seems to know an answer too - what the heck is going into the common ground behind my home. Please respond - this is been going on for a month. No one knows. That’s ridiculous

This is my 2nd Shea Home so I knew how stellar & on target Shea is with construction & design. That was how I knew this was to be my Dream Home as Tracy/Julie are amazing guides to home ownership. Loved the email telling me status on construction stages to using My Shea Homes. Design Center helped me create the most beautiful home in look & function. Options offered were wonderful in all levels. The downfall was receiving a home not move in ready as what I signed for - anxiety levels to get internet installed as external wiring from the ext of house not complete for a full month which meant I could not get White Glove done and other things, $661 1st water bill all on me as why was the irrigation not checked b/4 as the leak had to be happening b/4 ownership transfer & I have to still work w hoping to get the water district to credit not refund my $661 spent (a day 1100 gallons to then 2200 gallons used by 1 person & a dog) and probably another huge one coming as they bill bi-monthly-why prior to my ownership was this not caught at that amount, and to have water plumbing come in hot when using cold where plumber says its the weather which it wasn't, then White Glove gave missed messages on use a temporary password vs permanent as they did not disclose the change from temp password "breaks" the connection of the Eero wifi extender and even not taking out cardboard in the oven and masking tape which I almost missed on usage. All these issues could have been avoided if the punch list did a thorough run through on function. That was all un-necessary stress, money and time expended particularly myself as the new home owner . Shea builds a spectacular home in presentation, design and construction. Well thought on details and what you offer home ownership. This one fell short on delivery as I am still right now watching out for what may come. I love my home though. ... More

due to circumstances we did not immediately move in,our mortgage payments were mailed to us,the only way i knew about payment was when you sold my mortgage,no contact ,no emails zero

Enjoyed working with James and Debby and our experience in buying from Shea Homes was very very good.

Overall a good experience but definitely room for improvement. Little things like a tiny chip in our countertop that we reported right away and were told it wasn’t covered under warranty. It’s a small thing that would take a few minutes to repair and go a long way to show the homeowner they matter after closing.

All teams that we have worked with were amazing. Sales team kept us well informed of the progress. Construction team was very knowledgeable and were flexible in fixing any issues that we identified. The warranty team has been doing an awesome job of following up to ensure things are progressing as planned and all fixes are put in place immediately.

We have been in the house for just over two months. It’s starting to become apparent that this house was built by either amateurs or people that don’t pay attention to details. The paint on the interior is already fading and will need to be redone within a year. I have had to adjust most all of the cabinets so the doors shut correctly. The microwave quit working and it was because it was wired poorly. And today I am dealing with no heat because the heat pump fuses keep blowing. Trying to get help from Shea homes yields no results, so I came home from work and made the calls myself. There are more things wrong, and I am contemplating just having it fixed on my own, so I know it will be done right. If I could I would sell the home and move, because this house is going to have more issues in the future. ... More

My home-buying experience with the people of Shea Homes was terrific. Everybody I met cared about me and continues to do so even after I purchased my home, especially Nissrin and Alfonso. However, I have one warning: if you are sensitive to noise, please spend enough time in or near your prospective home. Our home is too close to a corner for me, so I am bothered by car and truck acceleration noise. This is not a fault of Shea Homes since they have double glass windows and gas between the window pains to insulate the home from heat.

We’ve had positive experiences with everyone along the way in our home buying journey. We love our new home, and the neighborhood is the friendliest I’ve ever been in!

Everyone from the sales staff(Courtney) to the construction to the warranty ( Gwen) have been helpful & professional. I couldn’t be happier with my house.

The Shea staff were very helpful through the process. Ted the Shea rep. was super and worked with us. He was very flexible and went out of his way to help us when we had to change our house choice at the last minute. I asked what Shea could do for a Veteran and they stepped right up and reduced our down payment by half. Once we moved in, the Shea rep. Scott has been super in taking care of all our requests for fixing certain items after we moved in.

We have found the Valor neighborhood in Idaho to be quite enjoyable overall. However, we have encountered some challenges with the quality of the finish work and the pre-inspection process. Upon moving in, we discovered several appliance issues that had not been addressed prior to our occupancy, despite Shea Homes' assurance of a complete home review. For the past three months, the oven has been non-functional, and the exterior paint on the house has been found to be faulty, requiring repainting, both have not been rectified. In addition to these issues, we have also observed subpar workmanship in other areas of the home. The concrete in the back porch was of poor quality, necessitating Shea Homes to apply epoxy as a remedy. Similarly, the finish on the garage floor is also below standard, and despite our requests, Shea Homes has not taken steps to rectify this matter. Furthermore, the wood frames on all the closets are coming apart, indicating further deficiencies in the construction. Outside the house, there have been safety concerns as well. The front walkway presented a trip hazard, resulting in multiple individuals tripping or falling. While a solution has been implemented, it is not up to par with the standards of the neighborhood and does not match the aesthetics of other homes in the area. Regrettably, our attempts to address these issues with Shea Homes have not yielded a satisfactory response. Although the warranty person assigned to our home is making efforts to rectify the situation, the time it is taking to resolve these matters is unacceptable. In conclusion, we are deeply disappointed with the lack of prompt and effective action from Shea Homes in addressing these concerns. We trust that Shea Homes will take our feedback seriously and work diligently to address these issues in a timely manner. ... More

We had a fantastic experience buying a home with Shea Homes. From the start, the Shea team was incredibly helpful. They guided the our family through the selection process, offering insights on different floor plans and customization options. During the building process, we received regular updates and felt informed every step of the way. When we moved in, everything was ready and in great condition. After moving in, our family was pleasantly surprised by the after-sales support. Great home buying experience from start to finish

The move-in was the best we've had (moved into three new homes prior to this one). Attention to detail was excellent. Once we moved in, there were some issues with the A/C, the hood cover over the stove, and the Wi-Fi. However, items like that are to be expected to some extent with a new build, and they were fixed quickly and well.

Jaime was very healthy in sales office and Brooke was outstanding seeing things that needed corrected at the one month repair period.

It's a beautiful community, very organized and with state-of-the-art construction.

Overall experience with the staff was great! Support after close of escrow has been great as well. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend buying from Shea Homes.

We love Shea Homes as a builder. This is our 2nd Shea Home and we highly recommend them. The quality of the home is exceptional. All of the folks we worked with were wonderful and our beautiful home was delivered in the time frame promised. We really appreciate how professional and friendly all of the staff were and this made the whole process enjoyable. We are loving our new home!

The overall buying experience with SHEA was good, and the personel were very accommodating. However the quality of materials and workmanship need much improvement. Materials are appearing to be very cheap quality, and rushed installation, leaving gaps and crooked seams of many features. Dripping sounds of hot water lines, that I'm told are normal, should not be normal.
