Many things to describe

Overall we did not have a great experience with our first home purchase. Three different builders worked on our home. The first two were let go. I will give credit to Jorge for inherited a myriad of problems, did his absolute best to clean up the mess. You must get a third party inspector. It's a must. The builders gave us a very hard time over that but we still had him come through, despite costing us $750. Our inspector delivered a report well over twenty pages. We were wooed by the model house. Yet the quality of the build on ours was anything from it. Sloppy craftmanship through out, facets and receptacles not level, light fixtures out of socket, and unsealed window sill molding letting spiders and various insects in. A leaky sprinkler systems, and an AC that doesn't cool the house. Needless to say the paint job was poor too. The garage remotes never worked. The workers didn't even bother removing the wraps from the garage rails, and there is spray pain everywhere. It's just sloppy hurried work. Be careful, verify, verify, and then verify some more. I had a wonderful experience in buying my Shea home. I met with Dan and he showed me the model homes and explained the differences. I wanted no steps and was assured that there was a model with no steps. We drove around and I chose a lot based on the information Dan gave me. I had been looking for over a year before I found Trilogy. Mike sent me weekly updates once building started. The trip to Sight and Sound and the design center was wonderful. With their guidance and my budget in mind, I was able to choose communication and finishes. The bottom line I love the house. Over all my experience was pretty good. The home looks very nice, and most everything is in place. Some expected issues with a new construction are fine, but there are some more than I would have expected for the price paid, and some of the issues I pointed out were ignored, denied, or called normal when they should have been taken care of. Otherwise, quick to respond and set up trade calls, but it often takes a long time to get the trades to show up.

Buying a Shea home has been a wonderful experience. Everyone involved has been professional and very helpful.

We closed and moved into our new home in April and have been pleased with the warranty follow up, general quality of the workmanship and the responsiveness of the entire sales and service team at Shea homes in Wickenburg.

Issues after delivery take too long to get resolved. We have 2 broken windows that were supposedly ordered before the house was finished. Been in house now 2 months, still have broken windows. Other issues same problem. Not responsive at all.

Extremely impressed with the multiple inspections done by Shea prior to our taking possession. The management at Shea did the final inspections! The top management comes out to make sure all the upgrades are completed and the quality is up to their specifications. We’re impressed! We were also kept informed throughout every level of construction during the build by our liaison Rudy. He was always available and answered all our questions. He guided us through the build and we had confidence in his experience!! He created a pleasurable experience which doesn’t always happen when building a home.it was completed in seven months which i think is very good in a post pandemic environment. Then Shea takes it to the next level after we took possession to do a check at one month and then again at five months after we took possession!! They will also do a one year warranty walk through too I’m told. They keep communications open to correct any situation that come up. Our satisfaction has been their priority from day one! There was nothing positive about this building experience! It was a nightmare. Though out the precess there was little to no transparency for the buyer/owner. Moreover, and totally unacceptable, "operations" was uncaring of anyone's needs but its own. Nothing but extreme anxiety for us most every step of the way through out the process.

Staff was very friendly, but sometimes did not come through with requests. East to contact but not always responsive. If I needed an immediate response I had to go through my sales person even though I was told by project manage I could contact him.

The buying process was very smooth and shea homes guided through each and every step. The home quality is top notch and I'm really happy with it. Having said that, I'm having an issue with my Garage opener is not connecting to the wifi which sometimes frustrates me. When talked to customer service of lift master garage opener company, they said motherboard in the garage opener is old and compatible with router. I would suggest Shea homes to install latest garage door openers

All through the buying process, everything was a smooth transition. There are few issues after moving to the home related to USPS address issue and HOA. Both of them are pathetic and builder is not able to help us.

Brad (site manager( Dan (warrantee specialist ) and Sonja Shea rep were all very responsive on Teams site, answered all questions, were encouraging with responses. great experience

All in all, we've a had a pleasant experience building with Shea. Our construction manager Wes was great and took care of the majority of the issues on our final walkthrough. This left only a few things for warranty repair and Barb has been responsive to our needs. All the trades are friendly, professional, and respectful. I would build with Shea again if we had the opportunity in the future.

We visited the area when there were barely any homes and the models had just opened and decided it was the place for us. We did the build "Long Distance" from Washington State and didn't actually see our new home until we did the walkthrough. They did a great job and have been diligent at resolving the small discrepancies that can happen at any new construction. We feel that the whole experience vastly exceeded our expectations!

We loved working with Karen. We were hoping to finish the process with her. Derek filled in for her whenever Karen wasn’t available. This isn’t my first purchase, abd I have dealt with other builders and staff. Unfortunately didn’t have a great experience with Derek. Especially after closing, he was very cold, and wasn’t willing to help.

Keys were handed over to me before a thorough inspection of the home was done. During the final walkthrough, appliances were not run. Move in day, There was no water whatsoever in the washing machine, so I was unable to wash work clothes. The ice maker also had no ice/water hooked up. When I called to get help, they said I was out of luck because it was a weekend! I couldn’t get a single person to come out to address the problem, each one emphasizing that it was a Saturday. I got someone on the line to help me hook up the water lines by myself. It was NOT easy to say the least. I assumed that the keys being handed over, meant the home was ready to move in to. Not the case! Had someone taken 5 minutes out if their “weekend” to properly hook up appliances, I would not have had to take additional time off of work. So unprofessional on the part of Shea Homes! Overall a great experience. The team was generally responsive and accommodating. One of the trades cost us an additional $2K because of a lack of communication, but that's a trade, not Shea directly. If we were to build another home from scratch again, I would use Shea as we feel the build quality and materials used are very good.

I think overall the house is pretty well-made. The walls are a little thin, however, and I would’ve liked more flexibility within my option package.

Buying was the east part, getting things fixed has been challenging. Both due to availability and half baked solutions, appointments are rescheduled without any communication, contractors refusing to fix things and blaming the issue on another team (plumber refusing to fix water pressure and passes blame to appliance installer when the issue is the water pressure from the wall, at another appointment scheduled for two window issues and contractor refused to fix one issue saying one window would be fixed by another team from the same company only to come back with the same team at another time to fix it). Some appointments are scheduled months out, haven’t been able to use the oven since purchasing the home 2 months ago for example. Had an issue with a door frame being crooked so they adjusted the door but the frame is still crooked to the naked eye. Definitely would’ve reconsidered a new build or the builder if I had known how difficult the warranty process would be. ... More

The Shea Homes employees who helped us through the process were all outstanding, I can't say enough good things about them. Ramona, Donna & LeAnn in Sales, Ryan & Brandon in Construction, Julie and Marci in Design, Athea and Jessica in Warranty & Char in Mortgage. The build quality is beyond expectation, our home is beautiful, the neighborhood is exceptional - we have nothing but rave reviews about Shea Homes.

Thus far we are mostly enjoying our new home. However, the punch list and warranty process is terrible. They push you to close on your home but it is only 90% complete. There are many small details that are not complete and the fine details are of poor quality. Floor creaks, paint issues, exterior issues, door issues etc. They try to get things taken care of but just can't seem to get them resolved. They need to at least double if not triple the number of people they have for their construction punch list and warranty issues. We were only allowed in our home on Sunday's to inspect as the work was going on. They need to allow homeowners to visit daily if they wish to point out and correct issues before it is too late. ... I got all required help from the selling team as well as maintenance people.. Overall it was very nice experience.

Everything gets an A, good experience.
