Our experience between purchasing the house and figure out the rest was intense meaning Club House Members - HOA (3 different identities) it will be nice to know at the closing. Regarding where to go to set-up Internet ?? we didn't know is "HOA" this wasn't done and we're waiting 3 weeks for internet before calling the white globe people " very nice guys"

There is a lack of attention to details, such as drywall, trim and paint application. The build process is rushed and can show in the finished product. Also the windows that are used are of a poor quality.

Once the contract was signed there were a variety of changes to the home. Selected home design was changed on 4 different occasions with a lack of communication in changes and product and product availability. Once closed a variety of trade issues have occurred.

Field manager was outstanding! Plumber utilized was average at best! It is deceiving to see a model home nicely decorated and not having same or similar options when building a new house( very disappointing no alternatives were available). Very pretty house and development!

The wait was worth it. Shea Home actually uses good building materials for their construction. We've had 2 neighbors from other builders compare their building structures to what we have and they both confirmed the quality.

All in all, Shea was great. The only negative aspect is the White Gloves Service was very poor in that they did not take enough time to explain all the smart home apps and how, to use them. Very Poor.

I would recommend Shea Homes to others based on the construction and the construction manager Randy. I would warn them about Shea Homes sales team, people like Rachelle and her manager as they gave me one of the worst experiences of my life. Also I would warn them of some of the sub contractors like Home Pro who where anything but pro.

The experience of building at Trilogy has far exceeded my my expectations. Projected build times were accurate and the Build Manager (Brad) is very responsive and always looks for a solution vs just telling me “no” on requests. I’d recommend (and have) a Trilogy Lake Norman build to anyone looking for a great place to retire/live.

Shea has a reputation for quality and, for most items, the quality is obvious. For other times, Shea falls short. For example, one towel bar in each bath and no hand towel ring. This is a half million+ dollar home. Framed mirrors versus a single sheet - another example. It's the end finishes that homeowners "see" that should be better thought through. Suggestion: Spend about $1000 more to include finishes that will make the home sparkle. Communication is good from all departments - realtor, crew, and warranty. It's a solid home. Terrible lot. Since all I saw were dirt lots when I purchased, I didn't know that the air conditioning units would be placed right outside my bedroom window! Both my neighbors and mine are there. On the other side, my neighbor's unit is right in front of my living room. Houses are squeezed together. I'm still waiting for them to put the cabinet door on. It's been sitting here for 3 months. Let me start by saying that this is the third new construction home I have purchased from a National homebuilder. I can tell you that there were things that went wrong along the way, but buying from a family owned private homebuilder makes all the difference in the world. The people are trustworthy, the company cares and they make things right if things go wrong. Shea did a good job of including me in the building process from the very beginning. They kept me informed about each step and encouraged me to stop by and see what was happening so they could explain why they were doing what they were. They were an open book. I didn't have to hound them for information. If I had questions they were quick to answer them. The team I worked with was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about the people involved in the building of my home.

Purchase experience was generally smooth. Lots of positive interaction with Sonja throughout the process. Larry, on the finance end was good, too. Brad, the GC has been fantastic, Caroline as our liaison, too. Some head-scratchers regarding appliances not working properly from day-one. The "cleaning" and "punchlist" crews seemed to make more messes than they corrected between walk through & closing. Lots of painting splatter needing work
