I'll start by saying if I knew what I know now, I'd have gone with a different builder. The workmanship and quality of Shea Homes product (specifically) my home is complete garbage. For what the house cost, anyone in their right mine would expect a better product. From poor paint job, floor/tile completion, misaligned doors and the list goes on. Each day I'm in this house, I find more issues of poor craftsmanship and rush job. What makes it frustrating is the fact there were zero compromises from the builder in regards to making minor changes during the building process but here I am waiting ...

House was not ready when we moved in. Quality was not good as our previous Shea home. This situation is understandable because of the economic conditions during building. But we bought a life style rather than just a house. We love it

We had a great experience from the beginning when we met Alan. He was courteous, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was always available to answer any questions throughout the process. We are also very pleased with the warranty dept in making sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We give kudos to Joel and Alexis for their hard work. I definitely recommend Shea homes for their beautiful custom homes and customer service.

Shea did a great job of overpromising and under delivering. I’ve asked for 10 to 15 items to be fixed. A couple have been and haven’t heard from anybody in three weeks. Pretty pathetic.

The home itself is good. The 1-3-5-11 check-in plan is a good idea and has been helpful. Tami who helps with the move-in process and the periodic check-up is fantastic as is Eddie (maybe Freddie, sorry) who seems to be one of the lead contractors. They are both amazingly responsive and seem to truly care. Kveta from the design studio was very helpful and kind as well. We never felt rushed. Follow up warranty work is poor. No consistency in what is shown in models and what is actually done. EVERYONE here is unhappy with their home and all they do is complain to each other about Shea.

Recently I took delivery of a new home build by Shea. The design fit my needs and the home is nicely laid out. After some annoying delays with the city power, I tool delivery in the fall of 2022. On the whole the home turned out well, but there were areas of quality control that got missed or were ignored. I encountered some poor stain work and finishing on the cabinets, damage to appliances, interior and exterior paint and finishing issues and some electrical issues. While I can’t compare to another home I’ve built because this was our first new build we are happy with the home Shea built us. The process itself was a little more difficult because we bought during Covid. We had to make design center selections in one day so it was rushed. The other thing that sucked was b/c Covid slowed things down our models weren’t open when we purchased so we didn’t get to see some design center options they ended up installing in the models which probably would have changed our choices on some things. Buying time and experience was good and no complain. But after movement there are no help / services on timely provided. We purchased a new build Mosaic model at the beginning of the pandemic, sadly what we purchased has not come close to meeting our expectations. We rented in the community during the build process and we were able to catch many issues. Once we moved in, it’s been an on-going punch list of repairs due to poor craftsmanship. Not one cupboard or drawer works correctly, light fixtures are off center and now a broken primary condensation pipe has lead to opening up our living room wall to dry out the insulation and sheet rock.
