What an amazing experience

This is in lot 39. We have experienced lots of trouble in the home. The customer rep is great, but home builder quality is very very bad. we will pursue law suite to get some coverage for the price paid

We love our Shea home. We wish our home home would’ve been finished as scheduled. During the delay of our home build, the interest rate started taking a huge hike. Our mortgage payment is now over $500 a month more than originally calculated. We understand the rate hike is not the builders fault, but unfortunately as the delay was happening, we were also watching the interest rates increase almost daily. We are now retired and on a fixed income, so this is very unfortunate.

My homebuying experience has been mostly great. There are several minor issues identified in the final walkthrough that still need to be addressed after two months. I understand that there is a shortage of labor, supply chain issues, and several homeowners with similar minor issues. Progress is being made.

The process of building a home can be very stressful and overwhelming but the folks at Shea homes made my experience very smooth. From the sales team (Catherine) to the construction team (Jorge), every single aspect of buying from Shea homes was great. Even after closing, the construction manager (Jorge) continues to check in with me on any issues or questions I have.

Quality of work is very poor. The flooring is uneven in several places with hallow space underneath LVP planks , Huge gaps at cabinet alignments, leaky faucets and so on.

Loved working with such genuinely awesome people. Very lucky that we got our dream home from Shea. I work for an apartment builder and understand the frustrations in the industry, Shea is truly the best.

Sales staff outstanding. Communications great. process they use for sub trades is great. Very ridgit with trades where by no changes can be made once customer has signed off on plans. should have some flexibility. extreme focus on quality whereby no issues to fix post closing. we would buy again from Shea

All the staffs are very nice and approachable, I do feel like the designer can be more communicative on the time window and options. We took our time to pick the color etc only to find out we have one chance to quote bc of time. The font of my house was also not completely painted, since the walkthrough come in from garage, I didnt see it during the walkthrough, but after I reported to the builder, they were able to resolve it without any issue. I’ve been in the Real Estate business for over 30 years as a broker in Chicago and Shea really exceeded my expectations! We built this home long distance and the experience was a pleasure from contract to closing. Everyone involved put forth exceptional effort to make sure that our home was delivered in a timely manner with few issues that we addressed immediately. Our home is beautiful and we love it! I definitely highly recommend Shea as an extremely excellent builder

There were a few "bumps" in the road before the home closure. Overall, however, it was a good experience. The salespeople were friendly and accommodating. That said, we have had a number of issues that needed to be addressed and, as of now, nearly six months later, some of those issues are still outstanding. Not everything was finished before we took ownership of the property in August of 2022. We understand we are not the only new homeowners in this development, but the response times are not always acceptable. In addition, there are times we have not been notified when the individuals are coming to our home to address the issues, especially issues that are on the outside of the home. We would prefer to be at home when they come to fix issues that have been noted by us so that we can discuss the issues with the crafts-person when he or she is there . As of today, there are two primary issues that remain outstanding and need to addressed: (1) A dented refrigerator door that needs to be replaced, and (2) work that needs to be done/finished on decorative tiles in a front view window. ... Closing made easy with electronic closing since we were located out of state.

Not the quality for the price. Not custom. Not clean. Layer of dust throughout, AC filters cakes with dust that unit was struggling to work, a professional was called and discovered every air filter was clogged with construction dust. Roofing was damaged and inconsistent to the point of risking leaks. Cabinets were not fully painted. Etc, etc, etc.

Excellent sales team - great to work with. Always promptly got answers to any questions. Building team - average. Seemed to do a good job EXCEPT in a couple of instances - once the wrong product was installed and they resisted correcting it (I had to repeatedly say it must be addressed), once when they installed something in the wrong location that was specified in the contract and they resisted correcting it (I had to point out legal agreement twice before correction made), Post purchase team - horrible. Found out a few days after move in that the air conditioning didn't work at all during a heat wave - abysmal response concerning correction. 9 days later and strongly worded emails and they finally got it taken care of. One month follow-up I pointed out a room where all ceiling drywall seams were visible (Shea response - it was within building specifications) - I had to fight to get this addressed too. Almost none of the reported issues addressed a month after reporting them - their response....its hard right now to get contractors, yet they continue to have crew onsite building more homes. ... Great quality of materials and great workmanship and customer support

The entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the sales representative to the construction manager, to the warranty team. Everyone was professional and responsive to our needs. Keep up the good work!

From the day we went under contract, Shea has been a great partner as our home builder. Everyone, including sales, construction and warranty, is very responsive, quick to help and extremely pleasant to work with. We love our Shea forever home!

Everyone we worked with was exceptional, especially Charmaine, Kyle, and Wendy. We had a great team and really appreciate them.

The entire team from top to bottom has done a great job at making this experience one to remember in a positive way. Very thorough and professional staff that doesn't hesitate to communicate well with you about any issue.

I would not recommend Shea

This is my second home I’ve bought from Shea. Overall good experience each time. I trust that all my minor issues will be resolved in a timely and professional manner.

The Sales staff did an excellent job keeping us updated on the build status. It has been more challenging getting results from the Warranty Department, but the home is very well built.
