The buyer must ask questions. Example: Find out if interior paint can be upgraded. More orientation on light switches, waterless tank, and thermostat. Concrete and paint spills on entrance stoop and patio. I'm still waiting for a stovetop and additional water tank remote. This is beyond reps control. He is very responsive. I appreciate his efforts.

Definitely worth the wait! We will for sure recommend Shea Homes in the future. From the buying process to the closing process, everyone involved was awesome!

After looking to downsize in several locations, we found way more house for the money at Trilogy at Tehaleh. Mount Rainier shines over this community that has fantastic amenities—a pool, an excellent restaurant, and a large network of well-maintained walking trails. Shea continues to works hard to seek our input on how things are going and if we have any issues. We also chose to work with Shea Mortgage which made the buying process seamless. This is a very friendly neighborhood. For us, it is a perfect fit.

I'm a Real Estate agent so I'm very familiar with different builder, there were a few bumps on the road with starting of the construction besides that very responsive, I'm very express by customer services after closing. I highly recommend Shea

I believe June 2021 was whEn we succeeded in obtaining the rights to Lot 8. Anticipating completion and move-in by year’s end, we sold our old home September 29, asking the Buyer to rent-back to us for up to 3 months. Then we got hit with “infrastructure snags” and move-in was delayed til May 2022. My monthly rent on the old home was $4,000/mo X 8 mos. That’s going to sting for some time to come.

We had an outstanding experience with Shea. As one of Shea's first buyers in The Groves, they took care of us from start to finish. Alan did a great job of walking us through the buying process to get started and was available every step of the way. Joel went above and beyond through our construction process and stayed on top of all the details to make sure we were satisfied with every item during construction (and if we weren't, to make sure it was fixed). Then, Alexis has already been out for our first quality visit and is making sure we are happy in our new home and helping us through a few minor issues. Shea Homes has definitely been our best experience with a new builder. They offer a lot of checkpoints through the process and make concerted efforts to address outstanding items in a timely manner. The handoff process was also exemplary. Joel left us the full "instruction manual" for our new home and they have QR codes you can scan with your phone to take you to online guides for appliances, etc. We would not hesitate to buy another Shea home in the future. From beginning to end the customer experience was great. The transparent communication enabled complete understanding of purchasing process from the request of required documents, design studio to final walkthrough.

We worked with Shea in the Littleton area for a new home build, and the purchase, design, and build were amazing!! The sales team was great in answering questions, providing info, and generally making the whole process feel smooth, but after they delivered the house we got to see the other side of Shea, and it has left us with buyer's remorse. The warranty team does not seem to know what is going on, and love to hide behind "supply chain" and "Covid Delays" we have been waiting 3 months for the kitchen appliances which have still not been installed. Between windows that don't work, electrical switches that don't do anything, and appliances the don't work it feels like we paid top dollar for a fixer-upper. All the while Shea continues to blow of requests, schedule repairs the never happen, and the ones they do schedule always point the finger at another trade, and shea just avoids the issue. As attentive and caring as the Sales team was at Shea, the Warranty team is the exact opposite. Please double check your builder options, and make sure you stay on top of Shea if you work with them. ... More

Settling in new home and getting prompt help whenever needed

Other than having to complete too many surveys on my experience, everything was fine.

First, the good. We love our new home. We love the community as well. From Jason (Sales) to Laura (Design), to Neil (construction) and then Connie (warranty and walk through) we could not be more pleased and thankful for their care, response time, excellent skills and assistance! They all get 5 stars!! Now, the not so good. The landscaping came up short, way short. From having a hard time with initial quote (getting answers on how the fence pricing would work, etc.) and then having it be last step in the design process and be hit with huge price increase from initial estimated quote! The fence continued to be troubling as we neared close as no one communicated to us that our to be neighbors required pool fencing on both sides of us. We paid for our entire fence (which was optional for us) & having been given no opportunity to work with our neighbors, we almost lost square footage to our property. We were told, after we inquired why fence on side of our property was 6 inches closer to our home than the neighbor’s, that since we did not sign off on anything, they automatically placed fence 4 inches (albeit it was 6) towards our home. We were able to get it fixed…but it required a lot of emailing and phone calls, us being the driver. We do appreciate Omar (landscaper-labor) for his quick work and kind attitude. To add insult to injury on the fence, we were contacted 2 months after we closed and moved in, by TLB Office (Tara), informing us that they reviewed our paperwork and found in original quote and signed off price at design (where our fence price had gone from original estimate of $3k or less to $4400) had somehow not included the fence line across back of yard!! They wanted another $2800 from us! However, all our paperwork stated the fence was a full yard fence and we presented the copies we signed off on and they determined it to be error on those we worked with in beginning of process, (Carson/Hunter) , they “waived” the charge and hoped we enjoyed our fence over the 4th of July! Another item that we are still dealing with, and are concerned over, is our “whole home” water filtration system. Bottom line is this, they installed a different type than we understood we were to have. We were not aware this occurred until closing. We had to inquire several times for information on the system and still are not clear on how to maintain it. On an up note? Our water quality is awesome! And we require no salt with this system, and have no loud flushing sounds in wee hours of the morning, plus, we do not need to buy filters for fridge because water is filtered as it enters home. We just felt the change to different system was one we should have been informed of and certainly been given better info on maintenance, I mean, this is our WATER we are dealing with. I’ll end on the upnote I began with, we love our home, and the community. Had it not been for the issues addressed here, they would have been given 5 stars across board. We have been through building process 3 times before this, and none of those journey’s had Covid and supply chain issues…kudos to Shea on that point, as they did everything they could to stay on time with close est. we appreciate them. ... This was our first experience having a home built for us. The process went surprisedly smooth with just a few minor adjustments. We can’t say enough about the Shea Team….Steve (Sales) who kept us in the loop and made the perfect Lot suggestion. Chris (Build Supervisor) answered all our questions and ensured every detail was handled. Jodie (Warranty Specialist) for being so thorough and timely with the warranty work. Most of all, the whole Shea team was friendly, approachable and made this ‘Big Step’ a little less scary! We love our beautiful home and Tehaleh is gorgeous!

The build process was frustrating as the Builder was so afraid of saying something that could be interpreted as a commitment they they instead opted to just not communicate at all. They would not even give me a rough estimate of the timeline which made finding a temporary rental extremely challenging. I understand the COVID delays and that they are very real. But communication is better than no communication. Having said all that, I do love my house and have no regrets choosing Shea.

Attention to detail and "white glove" inspections ensured a quality product. The home was move-in ready.

I moved in 10 weeks ago. I was disappointed the way my home looked in the walk thru. I understand there will always be issues. Will walking thru my walk thru I noticed I had no hardware on my upgraded cabinets. Now for 10 weeks I am opening all cabinets with no hardware in my home and I am ruining my cabinets pulling them open uneven. I have given shea a reasonable time to install my hardware for cabinets.. My patients has wore thin. Now some of my drawers are making noise when I pull them out and the wood is gouged on some drawers. I hold shea responsible and will hold shea to correct all problems with my drawers. We move to shea to be happy. Responsiveness is totally Zero Warranty guy does not want to fix problems After paying very very large amount for house , the finishing product ( the house ) is totally Disgrace , The warranty guy has either been fired Or not interested in fixing the warranty work It almost 2 months no body Responding from Shea Homes 831 920 8496

The house is beautiful

Building with Covid left its challenges but Shane our construction manager and Nancy and a sales person was with us every step of the way she trying to help us through the long white building with Covid. In the end my home came out beautiful thanks to Shane. Shea homes care about Quality.

Shea home is of great quality and the price is reasonable. Super good after-sale service. Highly recommend Shea home.

Overall a great experience since I was living in California during the build. I was very pleased with the status updates during the process and appreciate that Shea has check-ins at 1, 3, and 12 month intervals. I have noticed some workmanship that I’m not 100 percent happy with though, but things I point out generally get corrected. Overall very happy and love my new home and neighbors.

The sales team were great construction manager kept us informed warranty team slow at times to respond to problems a bit of advice if you want to add on options be sure to have them written down verbal contacts not honored

The sales and design process were excellent. Shellie and Tedi were outstanding, kind, helpful and responsive. Once escrow closed things turned very quickly. We have been in our home for 60 days and punchlist items from prior to close have not yet been addressed. Several appointments with the Shea Team have been missed without a call or email. It took me over two weeks to find a person who would take accountability. Froy was not only NOT helpful but was also rude and disrespectful to my wife. He acted as a roadblock not a facilitator. Once we were connected with Jocelyn our issues began to be addressed but we are behind and very frustrated. I would be happy to discuss this at length ... More
