The bad quality of workmanship and the unprofessional attitude of the staff and reps at Shea.

I had a bad experience and cannot recommend Shea to any new home buyer. There were many delays and the staff were unprofessional. Overall I had a very bad experience with Shea homes and do not recommend them to anyone looking for a timely home buying experience.

It was a terrible home-buying experience in every way, from beginning to end and even beyond. More than 2 months after closing, items that needed correcting and were brought up during our final walk-through have still not been corrected.

From the moment I spoke with the community representative I knew I'd picked the right over 55 community from the many in Las Vegas. This assurance continued through the construction, design , home delivery and customer service. Ive moved in and met so many friendly neighbors. Im really looking forward to the opening of the community center and pool.

It was a mixed feeling experience. Sometimes the customer care was there sometimes it wasn't. We had an issue with closing and it felt like all transparency went out the window. Without that issue it would've been an amazing experience.

I had a great experience with this builder and all the staff are very nice. I know it was a long process, but I knew it from the beginning because of this pandemic but it was worth it to wait. Price of the house was great. Over all is excellent. Thanks to all the staff, specially to Hella, Brian and Eddie.

Exhausting process to get to into a home not that is not completed.

There were children of the laborers at our home site while the home was being built-we have photos of them! We had multiple labor and material concerns ALL ALONG during the build, horrible workmanship, lack of quality, lack of caring. The painters were the worst, we continue to find more and more problems as we live in the house and the light shines on painted surfaces. Our framing wood quality throughout our home is bad, we had to fight so Shea didn't' use particle board pieces (7 on one) on our interior door frames. Several models to choose from. Review of the build process including key milestones for your onsite review. Walk thru by Shea on-site managers to address any issues prior to customer walk thru to ensure a quality-built home. At the time of the walk thru customer is assigned a Shea Customer Representative that assists in addressing any issues that may arise in one month, five months and eleven months. They are with you through the warranty period.

Shea wants to sign contracts even when a lot of details were not finished when the walk through happened. Still after 2 months there are big issues with cabinets, even we paid for a good update

Due to builder negligence, we experienced a flood in our home the day before we were scheduled to move in. Your Project Manager did a great job getting the various subs out to repair all the damage. I sent a letter asking to be reimbursed for the cost of our mortgage during the time we had no use of the home (15 days) in addition to the other out of pocket costs of rent and electricity. Shea paid the 2 expenses, but offered no reason why they would not consider the mortgage cost. A simple letter with a reason would have been nice in addition to perhaps recognizing all the stress and worry ...

Shea's focus seems to be "on getting the house closed" and less on customer" after sales service."eg two Monogram appliances installed by Shea have required repeat service calls organized by the owner; service calls are usually made by less experienced employees (faulty HVAC needed three visits to get level expertise needed. However, Field Rep selected by Shea has been helpful, polite and supportive.Punch list completion slow and requires new owners to spend a lot of time on appointments which are often not long enough to get work done ("will have to come back.")......punch list crew seem to ...

Many misrepresentations about what is included, very poor communication, many delays due to work having to be done over and over. Interior paint and trim is very sloppy and not to a professional standard for even an entry level home. Delays were not due to covid they were due to poor resource management and needless duplication of work that is still a mess.

The location is fantastic... The quality, communication and sales efforts were first class! The upgrade process was grueling but worthwhile. A few glitches but that's expected! All in all, The Grove is a Homerun... and the folks are very professional to work with.
