Shae homes are one of best, regarding the house to be delivered on time and the difference between the actual house and the model you have seen.

We worked mostly with our field manager who was outstanding any issues we had were taken care of in a timely matter. He went above and beyond what I expected did a great job

Due to builder negligence, we experienced a flood in our home the day before we were scheduled to move in. Your Project Manager did a great job getting the various subs out to repair all the damage. I sent a letter asking to be reimbursed for the cost of our mortgage during the time we had no use of the home (15 days) in addition to the other out of pocket costs of rent and electricity. Shea paid the 2 expenses, but offered no reason why they would not consider the mortgage cost. A simple letter with a reason would have been nice in addition to perhaps recognizing all the stress and worry we went through looking at our first brand new home being torn up and rebuilt. Overall build quality not at a level I would expect for a company known for building great homes. Understand COVID impacted availability of workers, but with that in mind, greater quality control measures could have been in place during the build so that you didn't have to come back after the build to make corrections. Shea's focus seems to be "on getting the house closed" and less on customer" after sales service."eg two Monogram appliances installed by Shea have required repeat service calls organized by the owner; service calls are usually made by less experienced employees (faulty HVAC needed three visits to get level expertise needed. However, Field Rep selected by Shea has been helpful, polite and supportive.Punch list completion slow and requires new owners to spend a lot of time on appointments which are often not long enough to get work done ("will have to come back.")......punch list crew seem to be rushing from appt to appt. ... The entire team was very proffessional and informative. It was a pleasurable and easy buying experience.

Sub par customer care and lack of empathy.

Many misrepresentations about what is included, very poor communication, many delays due to work having to be done over and over. Interior paint and trim is very sloppy and not to a professional standard for even an entry level home. Delays were not due to covid they were due to poor resource management and needless duplication of work that is still a mess.

The builder includes the best and most up to date methods in home building in the base price of your home. Shea homes are a delight.

The location is fantastic... The quality, communication and sales efforts were first class! The upgrade process was grueling but worthwhile. A few glitches but that's expected! All in all, The Grove is a Homerun... and the folks are very professional to work with.

Easy to work with and professional.

Workmen have not shown up when they were scheduled to. Closed 12/31/21. I am still waiting for mirrors and shower doors on my master shower. It has been 9 weeks. Smart home visit was just completed yesterday. There appears to be a disconnect between contractors.

We have chosen this home mainly for community and proximity to our parents. Unfortunately the quality of workmanship and material was way below what we expected for such a high price!

Overall, we love our home and the neighborhood in Wickenburg Ranch. There were a number of issues regarding paint quality (recommend hiring your own painter) , drywall quality, door placement, leaky shower door, and exposed pipes on the patio. After 2 months of difficult discussions we were finally able to get Shea to resolve most of the problems.

Took care of us from start to finish. Great experience as a first time home buyer!

Closed escrow December of last year It now May and still waiting for Ring doorbell and Wi-Fi plus repairs needed

Major options in the model may not be available to you. Ask about every option prior to signing. Finish work is horrible but, they do try to make repairs if you point out the issues. Some repairs work, some, not so much. I personally believe in delivering an acceptable and finish product without the customer having to point out issues. Pricing on options. Any upgrades are priced without considering a credit for the included option. Ex. A change from the low grade carpet to a mid level carpet is as much as having the carpet torn out and replaced with high grade product after the purchase closes. In most cases it is cheaper to have something done after the fact. Remember that the design staff work on commission so there may be room to negotiate. I simply said to delete the upgrade, commission on a lesser amount is still better than on zero. ... More

Expect less than full candor from Shea, reluctance to address for builder to correct reported issues, certain paired windows that do not match in size, haphazard interior work with wall surfaces, and incomplete resolution of all reported issues at one month walkthrough. Many issues were missed by time of closing by the builder at the first walkthrough. We expected much better and now have to endure two years of ugly construction behind our home and also occasional blasting that will continue for awhile, both of which we were not told about by Shea Homes.

Our experience may be unique, but we did not have a good experience with Shea throughout the buying and build process. It all depends on who you work with in the sales office, the project managers, and how they address issues that arise. Unfortunate given our situation could have been handled very differently with a better outcome.

Great end to end experience.

A wonderful experience with a great builder who has integrity and great communication during the building process. All of the representatives are stellar. I highly recommend a Shea home.
