Poor communication and follow up on repair issues at 1 month check.

The quality from model home to residential home is unexpectedly lower. The finish trades are not as high quality as they were in the model homes. Disappointing ! Richard has done everything possible to get the trades to complete work orders, sometimes they just don’t show up.

The buying process with Owen was exceptional. The design center process was rushed and way too many options in models were no longer available, making decisions very frustrating. Since we were local, we were able to find issues to be corrected readily. Primarily because we kept issues on our field manager’s plate did we end up with a home with most item’s resolved. Working with Joe to fix first month problems worked great.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I love the area, neighbors, and the model home we selected. We also appreciate many of the Shea associates who helped us along the new home journey. With that being said, unfortunately in my opinion the quality that was touted prior to building has left us very disappointed especially for the amount of money you are spending to purchase your new home. We understand that with a new home there will be some issues along the way, but we have had our fair share of challenges which has taken away the excitement of enjoying our new home. To Shea’s credit, the staff and workers have been very responsive to our needs in trying to make things right. I sincerely believe that with so many new homes under construction each with their own time frames, quality is definitely suffering. So, would I recommend Shea homes, time will tell. Love the community and the house. Wish that they had done a better job in inspecting and cleaning the house before delivery. It would have been a better representation of the quality of the builder and less follow up for me and my wife.

Shea handled the current material supply chain problems pretty well and delivered a very nice home to us. We love this area and feel safe here.

Could not add options to patio, close to closing or after. Would like to use same contractor but said no by Shea. Makes no sense. Poor customer relationship. Must select all options at time of purchase.

A delightful home in a delightful community. Just some issues around service items being properly attended to in a timely manner…

Poor communication-in the whole process.

garages are extremely small and no 4 car option. Numerous issues in need of correcting after close. Appliance options are poor. Monogram is a terrible product! There's no flexibility in finishes and few options.

I am not as happy as I thought I would be with the quality of our home.

The construction of the home was very smooth. The home is beautiful.

Shea has done an admirable job navigating the current supply chain problems plaguing most industries.

Building a new home during a Pandemic has proved challenging as many materials have been a challenge to source. Many shortages which resulted in delays and possibly affected the quality of workmanship and materials resulting in some re-work. Overall, we are happy with our new home.

Love floorplan but this builder needs to hire better quality inspectors. Way too many things wrong. Plus the response time for corrections is very slow.

Overall good quality and customer facing, but slow on follow up and responses after the sale.

Would like to mention June and Octovia from Shea Home has been giving wonderful service. Very pleasant and easy to work with both of the individual. Octovia takes immense steps to meet the quality and customer satisfaction. Deeply disappointed with Solar installation is horrible experience, took several follow-ups to make things working.

Shea Finance was terrible we ended up not using them and had to pull money from savings to pay cash for house. Never recommend anyone to deal with Shea on the financial side.

Builder made my lending from builder quite easy and painless.

We got off to a rough start with Shea. We selected the Latigo model at original document signing, only to find out 4 weeks afterward that Shea did not include cabinets in the Casita nor would Shea install cabinetry in the Casita. No one ever said a word about this, not our sales rep or any of the staff in the model home. And the models had no signage indicating such. We felt that was very misleading. When I tried to reason with Melissa T. about this issue, she gave me a car purchasing analogy that I found a bit insulting considering the amount of money we were spending. When Shea started the build, the foundation was put in the wrong place and our friends noticed the placement and contacted us. Fortunately, I had the correct plot plan and was able to get it to Abbey and Shea before the concrete was poured. This delayed our build 6 weeks and there was no apology, no compensation, nothing from Shea except an "Oops". Strike 2. That was souring. Working with the designers was unusual since we had to make all the aesthetic selections on line due to the quarantine, but we were able to finish. Angela was excellent. Shea built our home with all the correct selections. We will have to see how it fares living in it. I have already noticed some sloppy craftsmanship around the window installs. Large gaps between the stucco were filled in with caulking. Definitely not fine home building there. I will address this on our 6 month walk through (or whatever the month walk through coming up). Shea's sales, project management, and warranty team were great. Trade work wasn't what I am use to for a Shea product.

OK with most issues concerning the Model house we bought. Having trouble with TESLA over solar panel exchange from SHEA to our own account.

The home is lovely. Some tweaks, of course. But while they were building, we were buying furnishings and getting ready to fill the house appropriately. Since there was no model of the Liberty design here, we relied on the floor plan and virtual tours of Liberty’s online. The dining light was 8 ft. From the wall. But here it was hung 5 ft. From the wall, contrary to the videos and tours. They said it was according to the plans. Apparently Shea advertises one thing and delivers something different. In this case, a dining chandelier that is in the wrong place. They refuse to admit the impracticality of the placement, claiming the blueprints were followed. We feel strongly that because every virtual tour of the Liberty shows it 8 feet from the wall should mean they should have to move our Liberty chandelier to 8 feet from the wall. They admit it is not in a usable spot, but say the blueprints were followed. Then CHANGE THE BLUEPRINTS...and move our chandelier to where it should be! ... More

The hardware for all cabinets and drawers were not an option. Cabinet and drawer pulls are necessary but not provided. Was not given option to add electrical outlets (buyer needed) while building. Costed more to cut through drywall to add later. These are simple things that Shea could have provided that would make a lot a difference to a home buyer.
