Building a new home with Shea was a great example of what happens when relationships work and everyone involved has the best interests of the buyer at heart. I have only positive things to say about the staff and their responsiveness. Not everything was perfect but all was taken care of promptly and professionally. We are delighted with our new home!

Everyone is so great to work with.

I know its hot market and you are trying to build fast. But the decrease in quality is showing. I have a family member who bough with shea a few years ago and the quality difference is night and day. The workmanship has dropped. Change your subs or have a talk with them.

Floor plan is exceptional and construction was on time

Building a new home has a lot of layers involved! There are processes and people put in place with Shea to help every step of the way. They are very responsive, patient, and knowledgeable. I am so in love with our new home and couldn't have done it without the Shea team!

The sales team had been very helpful every step of the way. Constant communication and always had the answers or knew where to get them quickly!

Shea built us a nice house but after closing the Customer Care disappears ... The overall quality of the house is average. The buying process was good, the choice of external materials and features was terribly poor: only a few samples of bricks and stones, no catalogs to see or images, just use your imagination to try to understand the final result, this is it was very frustrating. The Design Center is a trap for customers, just adding really basic upgrades (or simply changing some materials) the prices rises easily about 20K+. The "included" materials are really ugly. At Closing my front and back garden was not finished and part of the backyard was already dead (it is still dead after 3 months ...). After the first month's inspection I detailed all the haouse issues but after many promises, no one came or called me to fix them. I will not recommend Shea to family and friends. ... More

Shea has done an admirable job navigating the current supply chain problems plaguing most industries.

As builders go they are one of the best.

We had never purchased new construction and wish we knew then what we know now. Be sure to ask very specific questions about all appliances and connections for all appliances.

An excellent homes buying experience

Communication sometimes challenging but Shea has been willing to work with us on issues and bring them to satisfactory conclusions.

This was our first home in California and starting from day 1, our experience was extremely positive. From home lottery, then paper work, design studio and till hand over, each activities were professionally orchestrated well. Same experience for mortgage part as well. Lastly when we got our home and enjoying it every day, even the after sale service is of an extremely high standard. I would definitely recommend.

From day one, every person was professional and helpful. They listen and got answers to all of my questions. We purchased from out-of-state and received whatever we needed. Communication was excellent. The house is amazing! Any issues are addressed and ours have been minor. I highly recommend working with Shea Homes!

many problems. we had 5 holes under kitchen counters took 3 mo to get it resolved we paid for shower and enclosur in guest bath put in twoo diff metals and couldnt open enclosure due to toilet put in 5 inches from wall. we paid to fix it all. we still have big rolls of cable 15 ft behind out propery told they. have been there for over a year and k fisher wont even make a csll to utility co to have them moved. many. many. problems. i would never buy another shea home

Building a new home during a Pandemic has proved challenging as many materials have been a challenge to source. Many shortages which resulted in delays and possibly affected the quality of workmanship and materials resulting in some re-work. Overall, we are happy with our new home.

The quality of our home is excellent. Our customer service rep, John is very responsive to our questions and resolves any issues quickly. He also follows up to be sure the issue has been resolved.

I like my home but living in a construction area is challenging.

When we were considering building a home in Wickenburg, AZ while we were still living in Washington, DC, I initially thought it was impossible. But working with the builder and dealing directly and frequently with the construction manager was a wonderful experience. We were sent photos of the progress and were informed well in advance when it was time to come to Arizona to do a walk through or pick the specific slabs of stone for our countertops. Shea's support staff was excellent. In particular Owen provided outstanding sales support and the after sales support provided by Tracy and Bill was excellent as well.

My Field Mgr was amazing. Kept me posted weekly on progress. Post move in customer service is also top notch.

Love our home! Really do. From the base plans to the structural options, all are very well thought out. Zero quality issues. If you find fault - then it's an indication that you should have had a custom builder and the price that goes along with it. The only complaint we had was the multiple - and unclear - points of contact. We never really knew who could answer what when. Sales person basically drops off at contract signing. But then, with some options / changes, you need to go back to the sales person. Most selection are with a contract design firm. We never had a clear pricing list of the upgrades. e.g. arrived at AZ Tile to pick out our kitchen counter tops all to realize from AZ Tile there was an approved Shea list. Who knew!? Everyone seemed to have an assistant - so you'd get an email out of the blue stating 'sign this'. Why? Who are you? Full quarterly HOA fees were never fully explained - I will say in writing because I have zero record of it. Again - LOVE the end result. Just be ready to be very attentive along the way . . . and ask over and over again "what should I expect next?" "What should I do next?". ... More

This is our second Shea home. We love our new house and everything about it, except for the solar system which has been a nightmare since day one. We have been in our home for 10 weeks and are still battling with the solar company to get our system running properly. I have even reached out to Shea for their hope. Truly frustrating.
