Inside has minor issues. Landscaping & trash enclosure have issues that haven’t been completed.

It was the easiest experience one could ask for. The staff was helpful from beginning to end. Actually, they are still hopeful even after the build was finished. Very friendly.

The sales staff, Aimee in particular, was outstanding in their responsiveness and knowledge of the home, the design and the materials/finishes. The lot location is just what we wanted. Our primary difficulty in this purchase was dealing with the policies of Shea Mortgage. NOT the staff, they were really good at working with us. But taking several months to finalize the mortgage qualification process in our particular case was ridiculous. Especially in light of the fact we could easily of paid cash. But, it seems all of those "Hoops" were necessary for them to be able to immediately sell our mortgage after closing. To run the customer ragged as happened was really unnecessary. Had there not been an $8,000 incentive attached to obtaining the mortgage through Shea, I would have gone with my local lender and had it done in 30 days without the added stress and work required of me in providing documentation upon documentation. The building was carried on in a friendly and professional manner all through the process. We’re very pleased with the finished product and the follow-up is excellent.

Had a great experience thru the whole process

Be sure to be comfortable with the limited flexibility offered in the design stage of the process, and the complexity of the "smart" option.

Everything is good, but wooden material should be more good. During my first visit I saw wooden logs are dent and damage some places. Else it was good experience.

Builds a basic house with few frills, but some questionable "upgrades" ill suited to the Va. climate.

Sales process and team were great and very responsive. The customer service person, Troy, who we've done walk-thoughs with is also exceptional. He listens, validates, responds with corrective actions.

Fantastic communication and attention to detail. We never felt out of the loop. Zack and Krystal are amazing!

Reasonable value in a friendly and highly amenitized community. Service was good both before AND after the sale.

The builder was on time even with the pandemic. The time was followed. The downside is when we asked about the backyard to the Sales team how large it would be, the answer they said, it would be similar to the model homes. That wasn't the case. It was smaller. As a buyer, we would expect the same exact thing from the model home. Also, solar system comes with the house, but it's taking forever to get the activation done.

I was pleased with the fact that after the contract and options were agreed upon, no additional surprise costs arose. Also, despite COVID, Shea was able to complete the home on time as scheduled.

My sales girl was my saving grace. She helped me with the many questions I had. Moving from another state, being homeless for nine months while my home was being built and traveling with three cats and a dog, across the USA, to stay with friends and relatives, during Covid wasn't easy. D. C. was so wonderful to answer all my questions often, and always within 24 hours.
