Very beautiful home and community. Construction in general is high quality, and design of the home is well laid out, Energy efficient systems and automatic /wireless options are working well and convenient. Shea did well at keeping me apprised of construction progress and held to the promised dates for the construction steps. i rated responsiveness as a three as the warranty service processes seems to have some gaps that allow for concerns to fall through. One gap is that a service request disappeared after being acknowledged. the second is that i twice received letters saying that the service had been completed when it had not. I rated quality of workmanship as a four as i have found two problems with the electrical wiring. One was a dryer plugin wired incorrectly, the second was a ground wire left loosely connected that caused loss of power to the living room. ... More

The process was fairly well orchestrated throughout the months it took to complete. There were problems encountered outside the builder’s control that could have been better communicated but the overall experience was a good one with very positive results.

We are there 3 months now and still have NOT completed the "white-glove" instilation. Should not have that name. The options are limited......particullarly being forced to select items in a particular limited section, so we ended up with choices we don't like. Paid extra for wiring in the great room, but unable to use it since it's off center.... and now they won't fix it. Really? Several things needed to be addressed and several are being addressed, but the counter island is chipped, the front step has a nick out of it and the trim board around the garage has a nick out of it when we moved in. We were rushed thru that first day and didn not notice it until after we recived the keys. The warrentee specialists couldn't get out of there fast enough that day. We were under the understanding that all these items would be addressed at the 30 day inspection. We were just told this week that these thing would NOT be addressed. Our experience with Shea Homes was exceptional. Everyone was kind, helpful, professional and made us feel welcomed. We definitely recommend them.

Unfortunately, Shea has outsourced so much of the building process that problems occur. Dishwashers that are not properly hooked up, crawl spaces with mold, paid for insulation is not added and basic amenities are smaller and smaller. Wander over to an older unit and showers are 6x4. Come to a new model and they are 6x3. This is not you get what you pay for. Not giving name as I am dealing with structural and mold problems in a four month old home.

After looking to downsize in several locations, we found way more house for the money at Trilogy at Tehaleh. Mount Rainier shines over this community that has fantastic amenities—a pool, an excellent restaurant, and a large network of well-maintained walking trails. Shea continues to works hard to seek our input on how things are going and if we have any issues. We also chose to work with Shea Mortgage which made the buying process seamless. This is a very friendly neighborhood. For us, it is a perfect fit.

This was our first experience having a home built for us. The process went surprisedly smooth with just a few minor adjustments. We can’t say enough about the Shea Team….Steve (Sales) who kept us in the loop and made the perfect Lot suggestion. Chris (Build Supervisor) answered all our questions and ensured every detail was handled. Jodie (Warranty Specialist) for being so thorough and timely with the warranty work. Most of all, the whole Shea team was friendly, approachable and made this ‘Big Step’ a little less scary! We love our beautiful home and Tehaleh is gorgeous!

Buyer beware. These homes are being thrown up and the quality they advertise is not what you receive. A lot of promises no follow through. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience. It is however a beautiful area. We are not the only buyers with issues almost everyone we speak with has had issues.

Sales (April) were very helpful; would like to have had more flexibility in design phase. We had had experience in designing a custom home so this was a disappointing experience

All in all, it was a good experience, despite the pandemic and supply chain issues creating delays in the move-in date. One word of advice to new homeowners, be very critical and thorough during your final walk-through. It seems the workmanship was a bit 'sloppy' perhaps due to the extended delays and deadlines not being met on time. There were things that could have been done more carefully, had the workers taken the time to do them correctly the first time. As an example, the caulking wasn't completely done around my tub and faucet, which meant a plumber had to be brought in after I moved into the house. The water wasn't turned on to the fridge and when I pointed it out during the walk-through, the sales person wrote it down but didn't follow through on the complaint. Thus, it took 2 weeks before I could get someone in to fix the issue (and it happened to be the builder superintendent I ended up calling, because Shea Customer Service never responded to my calls and emails). ... They are great until they get your money!! Follow up on repairs and service are unfortunately less then satisfying.

Love the Shea home product. Would recommend the area and Shea Homes to others.

The builder has a an attitude of it is our way or go somewhere else. The communication is spotty and not always consistent among their employees. The house itself is okay but nothing special. I have worked with other builders and would rate Shea as mediocre at best.

House is fantastic. Used Shea to hire fence install; terrible height placement abs more than five requests to talk with me about it, zero response. You will love the house just watch for these types of potential issues.

Let me start by saying that my wife and I love the area, neighbors, and the model home we selected. We also appreciate many of the Shea associates who helped us along the new home journey. With that being said, unfortunately in my opinion the quality that was touted prior to building has left us very disappointed especially for the amount of money you are spending to purchase your new home. We understand that with a new home there will be some issues along the way, but we have had our fair share of challenges which has taken away the excitement of enjoying our new home. To Shea’s credit, the staff and workers have been very responsive to our needs in trying to make things right. I sincerely believe that with so many new homes under construction each with their own time frames, quality is definitely suffering. So, would I recommend Shea homes, time will tell. There needs to be more attention to details: ie. nailing the molding to the bathroom cabinet and floor, putting molding on the floor next to the kitchen cabinet and refrigerator, installing scribe on the cabinets at both ends of peninsula. Replacing kitchen cabinet panel and trim next to refrigerator, securing kitchen cabinet trim atop of cabinets.

With the exception of our initial sales agent and access to see the house during construction we enjoyed our experience

Many minor defects in finish. Feels like builder moving so fast the quality is suffering.

Be sure you know what you are getting

I was so disappointed in the quality of the materials and the workmanship. Everything seems so cheap, and the laborers did not take any pride in their work.

I am not as happy as I thought I would be with the quality of our home.

The construction of the home was very smooth. The home is beautiful.
