Sloppy building techniques and little to no control over contractors

I love my new home, just a few design wishes I think should have been incorporated for the Ellsworth model. A mud build in at the garage entrance. There is a lot of space under the stairs and a built in there would be more utilized and practical for a family in such a large home. Secondly a linen closet up stairs near the two additional bed rooms. Once again, this house is too large just to have one linen closet in the whole house down stairs in the master. This was not thought through well for a family living situation. Other than that the home is nice.

Everyone we encountered during the home buying process made my wife and I feel at ease. They promptly answered all our questions and handled any issues we had quickly and professionally. I’d absolutely buy from Village Builders again.

The house we purchased is well designed and meets our empty nest requirements with room to accommodate children, grand children and out of town guests. The neighborhood is also well planned and has an optimal lot size. The house is well optioned and very comfortable. It is now august and the house remains very comfortable with little A/C run time due to high ceilings and excellent insulation. There is little to complain about and would be nit picking. The experience on the workmanship regarding interior painting, caulking and cabinetry has been a very bad experience for us. One of the laborers (paint) said since they did not make much money, therefore, they really didn't try very hard to do a good job. We needed them to come back too often because they would not pick-up all the touch ups or the caulking that was needed. Both Village Builders homes we purchased had they same issue including the cabinetry. They were delivered damaged or damaged when unloading or installed. We are happy with the floor plans and exterior design. Our salesperson and service coordinator were/are excellent. The main problem with the house is the landscape design, in particular the irrigation system design. Zones should never include grass and plants as the watering requirements are very different for each. I have spent a lot of time, effort and money replacing shrubs while trying to get the watering balance correct. We're very disappointed in this area of the home particularly because the rest of the home shows nicely.

The process with Village Builders is very comprehensive so there is very little left to chance from the design center through the construction process. A very professional process which covers every aspect of the house.

Overall experience was awesome. They did hear our issues and took care of them promptly. Our Salesperson Bill was the best and without him, this home deal would not have been possible. He has stood by us throughout the transaction and guided us at every step. Village Builders took care of us and we are enjoying our home today. Special thanks to Bill.

Very helpful in the process, great quality home

From our first step in a Village Builders model to the first step in our new home, we felt part of a team or a family rather than a customer. Although individual decisions needed to be made, Village Builders experts were there every step of the way. Our time with Village Builders was nothing short of extreme professionalism which resulted in a pleasurable and wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Village Builders!

Quality of workmanship - Installed a 220 outlet for a range, in laundry room. Had to $100 to have it changed to dryer 220 (leaving on trip and needed dryer Lennar said they would have someone within a week). The wood rails on back deck - needed sanding - used some wood with big chucks missing on side rails.

VB has a great representative, Charles. We were very thankful and ultimately, appreciate his assistance during the time of our home purchase. However, they didn’t have efficient customer service in that they did not follow up with all the questions and concerns that we have experienced with our new home.

Great homes and services!

Extremely poor quality. Sales person is terrible. Construction manger rushes to close without addressing the issues. Don’t feel like worth of money.

Village Builders builds a beautiful home. It rivals some of the most expensive homes on the market. The downfall with this builder is the experience we've had with their warranty department. They are slow to respond to repair requests. It often takes them several attempts to get some of our requests right. The communication is slow to nonexistent with them as well. We just want to feel like we're being well taken care of and not ignored in regards to the biggest investment most people will ever make. Village Builders falls far short in this regard.

I cant be more happy than i am after making the decision to purchase Village Builders home over other builders

We feel we got good value for the price. We got good response from our construction rep until it was time for a switch over to a longer term rep, then he was unavailable and didn't return our calls ( not even to say contact another person). Most all problems and concerns were corrected.

We experienced problems from the beginning of the process until the end. There’s sloppy workmanship and we’ve had to contact the community representative to get him to fix numerous things.

The quality of products and the craftsmanship needs some works and need to user higher quality of products and appliances based on the value of the house and the neighborhood. Overall, I am enjoying my new house.

- Financing process was tedious but finally it worked out fine. - calling for repairs is very slow and challenging process.

The quality of the construction the extras the upgrades are far better value than any other builder I've experienced in the Houston area
