We had a wonderful experience and our sales person Andy really came through for us and our needs

Mortgage experience was the worst possible. Slow responses and asking questions about issues the underwriters should have understood. Warranty issues were resolved, but attitude was poor. Lack of followup.

The crew that worked on my house were very careless. They made quite a few mess to my house

I love my home but the ratings are based on the workmanship and the price. Small things like bad painting, caulking, and having to follow-up on work orders.

We bought a town home and love it. It was a good home buying experience and great product.

We currently have some small problems and we are planning to have a home inspection done soon before we contact Lennar for repairs.

Village Builders helped us through the process of buying the house, as far as holding the house for 2 months until we were able to close on it.

We bought a lot of house for a very reasonable price from Village Builders and the overall building experience including selecting options, materials and colors greatly exceeded our expectations.

Everything is good. Except We feel the value for our home price is high, comparing to what our neighbors home value was sold.

Overall this was a very good experience. We had a P.M. change about midway through the process so there was a transition period, but the second one was far more responsive than the previous one.

Let me start by saying we love the design and floor plan of our home. We are extremely happy with the home as far as it meeting our needs. However, it is highly apparent that the emphasis during construction is speed and not accuracy. While on vacation over the summer our breaker panel went out resulting in a complete loss in home power. The entire breaker panel and refrigerator had to be replaced because of this issue. Multiple small plumbing leaks We are missing one of the decorative box beams in the dining room. We have asked about resolution to this issue but have not received a response in a month. Leaking Master Bedroom sink and toilet- still waiting to be resolved Drainage issues- our side yard remains consistently wet. As I mentioned above, we love our home. Mike Ralls is great. There are some issues we are having with our garage and back porch foundation but Mike is very responsive and accommodating. I have no doubts these issues will get resolved without a temporary fix. I am meeting with him this week to discuss.

Village builder workmanship is in general better than its pears.

We had a very positive buying experience and really was impressed by the building team. Issues that came up after we moved in were resolved quickly and professionally. We have had nothing but positive experiences working with Village Builders. Highly recommend!

The best buying and service experience I have had while home buying. Not sure how it could be better.

I loved my new home, it is very gorgeous and built with exquisite materials. The kitchen cabinet and masters bedroom room closet is very unique and beautiful and can't be compared with other builders. I loved village builders and strongly recommend them to my friends and other buyers out there.

Very nice home. Placement of some of the appliances are inconvenient for my 5’2” inch wife. Doors and trim could have used another coat of paint. On the plus side, Roger Wolsey has been excellent. I’d give him 5 stars.

Sloppy building techniques and little to no control over contractors

I love my new home, just a few design wishes I think should have been incorporated for the Ellsworth model. A mud build in at the garage entrance. There is a lot of space under the stairs and a built in there would be more utilized and practical for a family in such a large home. Secondly a linen closet up stairs near the two additional bed rooms. Once again, this house is too large just to have one linen closet in the whole house down stairs in the master. This was not thought through well for a family living situation. Other than that the home is nice.

The house we purchased is well designed and meets our empty nest requirements with room to accommodate children, grand children and out of town guests. The neighborhood is also well planned and has an optimal lot size. The house is well optioned and very comfortable. It is now august and the house remains very comfortable with little A/C run time due to high ceilings and excellent insulation. There is little to complain about and would be nit picking. The whole purchase process; pre and final walk through and closing were done in a very easy, professional and comfortable atmosphere. The experience on the workmanship regarding interior painting, caulking and cabinetry has been a very bad experience for us. One of the laborers (paint) said since they did not make much money, therefore, they really didn't try very hard to do a good job. We needed them to come back too often because they would not pick-up all the touch ups or the caulking that was needed. Both Village Builders homes we purchased had they same issue including the cabinetry. They were delivered damaged or damaged when unloading or installed. We are happy with the floor plans and exterior design. The salesperson and construction superintendent did their best to comply with our requests and I know they were frustrated, but they very helpful and responsive. ... More
