This was a great experience and the WCI Lennar team was fantastic to work with and made everything from closing to house inspection simple and easy.

1. Make sure you hire an inspector prior to close and ask that he return following close. 2. Be prepared to spend additional dollars to cure issues and make home livable; or alternatively wait and become frustrated discussing items with Lennar in hopes that they will address.

The overall experience dealing with sales, construction and post sale with Lenar was terrible. First Alexa the Real estate agent Did a nice bait and switch to get me in the door and then two weeks later push out build two months. Postale, they never gave me a mailbox key and I had a fight with them for 21 days to get the mailbox key which they never delivered to give me. She claims she went to the local post office, but upon further investigation when I went to the same post office she claimed to go to. I spoke to the supervisor and he said not a single person from Lenar has come to get your mailbox key and he redid it for me. They are dishonest people craftsmanship is less than subpar and I’ve had to make over 15 warranty claims. Construction project manager, never double checked with plumbing to have the system flushed and it was clogged with a bunch of sand and composite that I had to have the plumbers come out and flush everything to include the water heater and all drains. I was forced to close on the house before the end of the quarter. The house construction was rushed and there were SEVERAL quality issues. 2 roof leaks in 2 months. Several lighting/electrical issues. The pool tiles were not sanded properly. There were electrical and plumbing issues with the pool. On a positive note, the Lennar team has been very responsive to my concerns. So that helps however an overall frustrating and time consuming process.

I enjoy the buying process with lennar. Service after the sale always starts with a no with certain job supervisor. It was impossible to document every issue. We had dead sod at the walk through that I was told would get taken care of when I brought it up after closing was told to talk to the hoa

From my first conversation with Jan, our sales associate she was very helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. Jan was helpful and patient with our purchasing decision. Alex our construction manager, was also very knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout our walk-through, and continues to be helpful, kind, and professional. Carlos, our warranty manager is also, knowledgeable, professional, courteous and helpful. Carlos continues to handle any issues, professionally, courteously, and efficiently. We are very impressed with the quality and design of their homes.

Unilateral experience. What can you do for the builder, not what they can do for you. They control the building sites in the subdivision so if location suits you, you're stuck with them and they take advantage of their captive audience.

I must say the entire process has been the worst experience I’ve had purchasing a new home anywhere in the United States; from initial purchase to final move-in. Additionally, the quality and value of your new Wild Blue home will be sub-par. Post delivery of the home had nearly nonexistent customer service. Attention to detail and timely responses are not what one should expect from the Lennar/WCI team. If you prefer actual conversations about anything you won’t find that here; emails at best. Potential home buyers need to know that the workmanship is terrible. Lennar would rather throw the homes up, deliver them to the buyers and let the new homeowners deal with the aftermath. Nearly 90% of the ridiculous punch-list items could have been avoided if there was an effective quality assurance program in place. In all fairness there were a couple team members that were good; they’re just dealing with a large organization that cares for nothing but their bottom line. ... More

I had a very good purchase experience. We have had few issues in the home, but reported through Warranty and get attended quickly. Thanks Lennar.

Wow, that was fun!..and now we get to live here..what a beautiful neighborhood and home we get to enjoy..we feel lucky to be here in a Lennar Home. Everyone from Chris in sales to Leyla in production was a pleasure to work with..a few too many emails (probably 100+) for my low tech skills is the only challenging aspect of the total experience..all in all a wonderful experience..john v.

WCI performed as they said they would on all fronts. Our construction manager Leyla is the best and goes above and beyond her duties to make everything right..

When we did our final walk through, our punch list was never completed. We were told by the realtor and construction manager that it had to go through the warranty guy now. There has been barely any communication on his end. We’ve lived in the house 8 weeks and our punch list is still not completed.

We moved in a couple months ago and were surprised to see some of the issues we’ve dealt with for a house this expensive. Parts of the build seemed rushed and the materials weren’t as good as you’d expect for this price. Overall I’m content with the home but wouldn’t plan on buying another WCI home after this.

Builder does not hold subcontractors accountable. Lot of corners cut and dishonesty when flaws are called out.

This is our second WCI home. The first was great but it was prior to the Lennar acquisition. With the exception of a few fine people, our latest experience has been a disappointment. Quality control is nonexistent. Defects in drywall that should have been caught before painting were just painted over. Appliances are a random selection of various price point GE products of which two have already failed. Door locks are not keyed alike. The list is endless and the follow up by warranty repair is just as bad. Expect at least two service calls to get something corrected even after a video call where they can see exactly what the problem is. It is just amazing how disjointed this company is. Pool is not right. Paint has drips and brushes off easily. Work incomplete and closed based on promises things would be made right. Total hassle. Not what one would expect for $2+ million House.

When you are buying they sweet talk you after that they leave you hanging with a broken home and with a teenager for a rep

WCI has a horrible process for fixing issues after closing. This needs to be addressed as it feels like you already have my money and I should just go away.

Upon purchasing the new build, it was explicitly stated that no customization whatsoever was allowed. This was fine as most of the finishes were pleasant, however, certain items that cannot be renovated without extreme costs are frustrating. Number 1: Insullation/AC Who uses standard R 30 which is code minimum on a wood frame second story in our area of FL. AC unit is undersized and there is clearly a major temperature difference when moving room to room even with the doors open. AC vents are inadequate for master suite. Only one vent for a huge room and it is not centrally located in the room. The returns for hot air back to the AC handler are only passive returns. Would have loved to opt in for sprayfoam insulation, active air returns, and or a properly sized AC. Number 2: Inspection/Walk Construction manager was pleasant to deal with. However, you don’t get to talk to him until the day of the closing and the customer service rep who is also the home warranty person will without diligence by the customer. Dictating what to put in the punch list exactly will gloss over some details. Be willing to push your closing to get them addressed. It’s my belief that this is done intentionally and not designed for the customers best interest. The customer should have the visit with the construction manager prior to the day of closing in. There should be a period after closing where they should handle little details to remove pressure off of the customer to have it done right before closing. They are taking advantage of an eager customer to overlook details. That said, the warranty department has been responsive and are pleasant to deal with. However, the process can be improved so that there is very little the warranty department ever hast to do. ... More

Took 15 months instead of 9 on a cash close due to multiple failed inspections and they skipped our lot and worked on others who paid after us. Poor workmanship and now we are dealing with multiple electrical, hvac and cosmetic issues that are being resolved but at a huge inconvenience now that we have moved in. Customer service is good to address those issues after the fact. All of them could have been prevented if done properly during construction.

The home is beautiful. The design and layout is exactly what we wanted. But the quality of the workmanship, given the price paid, is really not good. Every time I have an independent contractor here for something they comment on the corners that the builder cut in building this home.

Workmanship extremely poor for a high end house paint, plaster, baseboards, doors roof, garage lanau….you name it it had issues. Tons of punch list items unresolved at closing but forced to close. Scott L was great but he left the company. Dana B is great but overwhelmed by the quality issues. Poor guy is a saint and doing the best he can but the quality of work was so poor he is swamped. Communication completely nonexistent once Scott left. Peter W and the Loan team were helpful but very ridged. We should have been offer a boat slip but we’re not. The roof is not the color in the agreement but in order to get into the house we accepted it. I have tons more but am frustrated by the whole experience. ... More

We’ve bought a few homes with WCI/ Lennar and this was by far the worst experience. The new home consultant was terrible about returning calls, text, and emails. We were left in the dark for so much of the process. We were originally told that buying this house would make us members of the yacht club, which we found out after purchasing was false. The bidding process was terrible and a few months later, the same model was listed as much cheaper, although that may just be the bad luck of the market. The house itself is nice and the project manager has been responsive and helpful. I’m glad to finally just be in and not have to wait any longer.
