Condo purchase

I am generally more than satisfied with my condo and the amenities provided. The Builder is responsive when it comes to warranty work although you may need more than ordinary construction knowledge to get certain repairs completed properly. If I had one beef it is the Contracts, at least in Florida, are written entirely in favor of the Builder with the consumer having little right. The closing date set by the Builder will be adhered to even if your home is not fully completed and you do not have enough time to walk through and get repairs done before hand. Lennar will address your complaints, ...

The things you notice after you move in are overwhelming and disappointing.

Our home is fine, we have just had issues and noticed so much work that was finished in a very sloppy manner, trades who came in late had no respect for other peoples work, we ended up having overspray paint everywhere, deep scratches on glass where stucco was stuck to the glass and scraped off leaving deep gouges, Under size breakers that keep tripping, Appliances that were installed incorrectly and we had to pay GE to come in to correct the installs. Chipped tiles installed on shower floors, and shower walls, loose faucets, huge gaps in trim that were caulked and looks very unprofessional. ...

The quality of workmanship brought all the ratings down. While our contact person has been very responsive their are way too many building issues.

The Home specialist was misleading in the sense that she was not informed on matters pertaining to our home. When asked questions she referred us to other departments in Lennar. Our closing was greatly delayed, our exception list was not finalized, our warranty tickets stayed open for weeks before the CV19 pandemic happened, now we sit uncertainly of knowing when they will address them or if they will address our issues. Terrible experience, really. After we close we didn't receive any welcome packages nor a sign in our door to say that it was private property, which allowed every sub to come ...

Do NOT expect a perfect home! Very Disappointing

The sales process was great but the building process is terrible. All the contractors are focused on is quickness not quality. I have had nothing but issues ever since I signed the paperwork. Lennar's response is to through their hands up and say well there is nothing we can do now. The warranty guy has addressed what he could. For us to pay as much as I did for a house that in my opinion was not finished WCI used cheap contractors that do not care of the outcome because they get paid either way. I wish I could recommend WCI or Lennar but at this point they still have work to do.

The construction manager and VP of construction were the worst. There were issues they refused to fix. I literally had tears buying this home because I knew it was not a quality home. I felt I had no choice because the lease was up on my rental and they already had a family moving in. This was supposed to be my forever home. No exaggeration this was the worst experience ever and I've been deployed and put in some crazy situations. I don't know how you all are number one, it is not for quality, integrity and workmanship that's for sure. The home warranty guy has been the only positive ...

When purchasing a home through WCI, set your expectations to be treated as a transaction and not as a person. They will cut whatever corners necessary to ensure the product is done by the time they need to hit their quota numbers and then leave all corrections to warranty. As long as you are willing to take a second job as project manager and correct all the issues with your home, you will eventually get an amazing product. After months of working hard on our home, we love it and our neighborhood, so we have no regrets, but wish we had known what a terrible experience dealing with WCI as a ...

Disappointing home building process

While encountering dozens of faults due to poor workmanship and being assured that everything would be taken care of after we close, we agreed. Wish we hadn’t. The quality of the appliances, fixtures, finishes, landscaping and sod might be ok for homes half our price but certainly not Sereno Grove. Totally unprofessional. Still is very frustrating.

We are satisfied. Finishing quality of workmanship was poor. Paint on walls, caulking in shower, paint on floor tiling and patio surface were disappointing. These were all distractions from the purchase. Overall we are happy with home. When we note problems they have been prompt in attempts to correct issues.

These are not custom homes and the quality of the construction components and improvements and betterment’s are standard for mid-price housing units. The project managers are very responsive and do their best to work with you to get problems resolved. Almost all of the contractors have been very prompt and professional in the follow up work that need to be done. Given the pricing of the lots and units the quality is as expected. Issues: Too many changes in specifications from one phase to another. The information provided and the model representations available at the time when the ...

We were forced to leave our home in Dec due to water leaks and mold issues in the kitchen and dining room. Our home had to be treated for mold. We incurred expenses while living in motel for 6 days. Lennar said they would reimburse our expenses, but still haven't after 3 months. Very unprofessional and disgusting behavior.

Sales staff told us several thing where included-never happened. Just to list a few-Electrical plugs in living room floor, blind package included, hallway arches, kitchen cabinets molding, pre wired for pendent lights. Delivery date 5 month off, causing us to rent elsewhere. Permits not issued correctly- delaying home, builder made changes after construction started never reported to County. Roof trusses left in the mud and rain for over 2 months- result mold and several damaged trussed installed. Told me they would clean with bleach- can not clean a porous material-wood with bleach. WCI - Alina was excellent (realtor in the neighborhood).

Alina was excellent (realtor in the neighborhood). I have purchased several new homes from large builders like John Wieland (Atlanta) and David Weekly (Dallas). One point of separation that I think WCI could improve upon is the final walk through just before closing. The cleanliness of the home and attention to all details was inferior to new homes we have purchased from similar national companies (and a custom builder in Atlanta). Aside from the Tiffany champagne glasses (thank you), the overall final walk through was mediocre and we spent the first day cleaning floors, windows, pavers, ...

We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the cabinet installation. Every cabinet had numerous marks and rubs and several were significantly damaged during installation. Despite these issues being noted during our walk through nothing was done for 4 months even after repeated requests on our part. Even then the damages were not addressed. Overall, we are extremely disappointed with the follow up on punchlist items. There was a span of a full month between closing and move in and another two.months when the house was unoccupied. We dealt only with Lennar and were not very happy. While the overall house is solid (we hope), much of the workmanship was below standard. Very few options were given as to the quality of the products being used. The process Lennar uses seems to be a rush job, to get as many houses up in the shortest amount of time, while paying no attention to the details. The sales representative that we worked with was not honest and did not keep us informed through the whole process. Since we have moved in the customer care rep has been very attentive.

Generally we are very pleased. Items from the walk thru still remain 5 months later. Closing was a disaster as far as being able to lock down a date, over 1 week late. Parking situation not as described prior to purchase. It just seems to take forever to get anything done.

The 22 unit condo unit completed for occupancy in the Fall 2019. Our individual condo still has minor punch list items that need to be addressed - identified 11/2019. The turnover from Lennar/WCI on 01/2020 also have numerous building items that need to be addressed. Two units on our floor had premature equipment failures - Hot Water Heater leaked and had to be replaced, A/C Compressor failed and had to be replaced. Cosidering extended warranties on appliances and HVAC. Not the best quality used here. Chrome and bronze fixtures mixed together in both bathrooms - may have saved WCI ...
