What should have been a wonderful experience was greatly diminished by Lennar. The home was NOT ready to be occupied when we closed ... the extensive "punch" list was not addressed and the home was filthy (floors, lanai, garage). After a month it seems that I find another issue almost daily and no issue gets quick attention. I've been waiting for my pool cage to be fixed for weeks. Pool tiles reported day one are still not addressed. A garage outlet doesn't work. the list goes on. We actually love the home ... the layout, the location, the amenities. It's just very disappointing that the workmanship and the sloppy attention to detail with Lennar is so poor. ... More

Without exaggeration this was one of the worst purchase experiences of my lifetime. Let’s forget about the 2 plus years to complete our townhouse. Blame COVID but other builders finished houses in less than 2 years during COVID. The rush to close December 30th by Lennar management was unconscionable. Four separate rescheduled final walkthroughs because the property was not ready. One time because power not hooked up and the temporary power provided by the generator was cut off due to an inoperable generator, forget the fact that permanent power was not available for the first three scheduled walk throughs. Then I ask to delay the close and was denied that request. The home was dirty, the home was infested with ants then we get to quality of workmanship…nicks in most doors, unfinished elevator shaft, The quality of paint used is so low that when I said the paint rubbed off when I tried to clean a spot on a wall I was told that’s normal because it’s flat paint. So essentially anytime there’s a smudge on a wall I have to repaint? With what paint? Then we have the doors/trim that come an inch from meeting the floor with caulk sloppily jammed in there to disguise. This of course needs to be fixed but we live in this house now so it’s a massive inconvenience. If this project was properly managed how are the quality issues overlooked? It’s one thing to have the issues, it’s another to say we aren’t moving the closing date to address the countless issues. What promised to be a beautiful home as proven to be a huge disappointment. All the interior workmanship from every trade is sloppy and unprofessional. We hope that all the parts that we can not see are installed properly by professionals. After a month, we continue to find problems. Instead of moving into a wonderful low maintenance new townhome, we have moved into a fixer upper. Construction manager and customer service are trying their best.

Builder (Chris) we had was very irresponsive through out the construction process . It just gets worse after the closing and during warranty period. They haven’t been able to keep up their commitments at different stages even for small changes and repairs. If you are a future buyer, do not close until ALL of your repairs are done 100%. Quality of material is a hit or miss. I would certainly expect better for the premium price they charge on these homes.

please make sure all the issues are taken care of before you guys closed on the house. we closed over a month ago and they still haven’t addressed any issue that was supposed to be taken care.

I wish if team were more proactive in providing updates before , during and after construction. I need to follow up on everything.

Wish I had something better to say. Like the floorplan. The lot can't be landscaped because the foundation seeps in lake water. It also causes the driveway to constantly be wet/slimely. Reported to community and HOA and nothing gets done. Must have so many compliants that they don't have time to resolve major issues. Very disappointed.

We experienced a very trying home build process that was over two months late and had significant challenges with quality workmanship. WCI/Lennar was difficult to work with during the process since they don't really want home owners around during the process. They are a production builder and prefer to have buyers purchase the home from them once complete. Our salesman was great but had little control during the build process.

1. Make sure you hire an inspector prior to close and ask that he return following close. 2. Be prepared to spend additional dollars to cure issues and make home livable; or alternatively wait and become frustrated discussing items with Lennar in hopes that they will address.

Builder does not hold subcontractors accountable. Lot of corners cut and dishonesty when flaws are called out.

Workmanship extremely poor for a high end house paint, plaster, baseboards, doors roof, garage lanau….you name it it had issues. Tons of punch list items unresolved at closing but forced to close. Scott L was great but he left the company. Dana B is great but overwhelmed by the quality issues. Poor guy is a saint and doing the best he can but the quality of work was so poor he is swamped. Communication completely nonexistent once Scott left. Peter W and the Loan team were helpful but very ridged. We should have been offer a boat slip but we’re not. The roof is not the color in the agreement but in order to get into the house we accepted it. I have tons more but am frustrated by the whole experience. ... More

Poor responsiveness to quality issues. Lennar staff and contractors non responsive to follow up

Since this was far from an entry level home we had much higher expectations for the finished product than the builder delivered. During the building process, numerous errors, deficiencies, and issues were identified by us and our independent home inspector. Almost all were ignored by the builder and sales person. All had to be corrected, after closing, by the warranty division. Words cannot describe how very disappointed we are with the finished product that was presented to us at closing. We had a significant punch list after closing, which is still being worked on, four months after closing. Driveway was too narrow, you could not park two cars in the driveway without having to step in the grass when exiting the car. There was no consultation regarding landscaping, what was installed was unacceptable, which required us to have most, if not all, of it removed. Overall, we would not recommend WCI/Lennar; we expected more, but received much, much less... ... More

I am a previous WCI homeowner. It was a great experience and was provided with a quality built home. Lennar should stop branding themselves as WCI. It is an insult to the legacy of a great company. Lennar shortcuts at every corner and uses the lowest quality products available. Have had to hire my own contractor to make this home acceptable. Very disappointed. .

The customer care is a joke. Horrible communication.

During the selling process, we had been informed that we will able to ask for adjustments during the walkthrough. After 2 rounds of the walkthrough, they did not fix / attend our reasonable complains (also being sarcastic about some of the issues). We need to accept as is because we we decline( which we are really considering) we will lose our down payment. After moving in, we are still waiting / arguing with the construction about the dead grass and they are totally ignoring us. Regarding the grass, The realtor said that all lawn costa are included in the HOA, and they will fix that dead grass. When we move in and called the HOA they said that this is our responsibility. ... The overall experience dealing with sales, construction and post sale with Lenar was terrible. First Alexa the Real estate agent Did a nice bait and switch to get me in the door and then two weeks later push out build two months. Postale, they never gave me a mailbox key and I had a fight with them for 21 days to get the mailbox key which they never delivered to give me. She claims she went to the local post office, but upon further investigation when I went to the same post office she claimed to go to. I spoke to the supervisor and he said not a single person from Lenar has come to get your mailbox key and he redid it for me. They are dishonest people craftsmanship is less than subpar and I’ve had to make over 15 warranty claims. Construction project manager, never double checked with plumbing to have the system flushed and it was clogged with a bunch of sand and composite that I had to have the plumbers come out and flush everything to include the water heater and all drains. Worst experience ever buying a house. "Zero" communication!!!!! don't care about buyers, only care about selling the home in any condition

I must say the entire process has been the worst experience I’ve had purchasing a new home anywhere in the United States; from initial purchase to final move-in. Additionally, the quality and value of your new Wild Blue home will be sub-par. Post delivery of the home had nearly nonexistent customer service. Attention to detail and timely responses are not what one should expect from the Lennar/WCI team. If you prefer actual conversations about anything you won’t find that here; emails at best. Potential home buyers need to know that the workmanship is terrible. Lennar would rather throw the homes up, deliver them to the buyers and let the new homeowners deal with the aftermath. Nearly 90% of the ridiculous punch-list items could have been avoided if there was an effective quality assurance program in place. In all fairness there were a couple team members that were good; they’re just dealing with a large organization that cares for nothing but their bottom line. ... More

This is our second WCI home. The first was great but it was prior to the Lennar acquisition. With the exception of a few fine people, our latest experience has been a disappointment. Quality control is nonexistent. Defects in drywall that should have been caught before painting were just painted over. Appliances are a random selection of various price point GE products of which two have already failed. Door locks are not keyed alike. The list is endless and the follow up by warranty repair is just as bad. Expect at least two service calls to get something corrected even after a video call where they can see exactly what the problem is. It is just amazing how disjointed this company is. Pool is not right. Paint has drips and brushes off easily. Work incomplete and closed based on promises things would be made right. Total hassle. Not what one would expect for $2+ million House.

When you are buying they sweet talk you after that they leave you hanging with a broken home and with a teenager for a rep

I've been selling homes since 2002 I've never had a builder try to tun over a home as complete / ready to occupy, in as bad and unfinished condition as this WCI / Lennar home in Sanctuary Cove. Quality of workmanship is poor. Virtually every item completed looks like it's been done by someone with no construction experience.

Title department doesn’t communicate with construction, kept trying to set up a closing when house wasn’t complete. Finally they insisted we close, even though we had an oven in the middle of the floor and no shower wall.

No communication from sales personnel to construction managers. This builder puts profit far before quality/customer service. Upon closing there were numerous construction defects due to lack of management of subcontractors. This all became listed as warranty items through the builder and thus very difficult to remedy.
