In the Kent family, it's a tradition of homebuilding excellence spanning three generations and nearly 60 years. The tradition began with Gregg P. Kent, a Chicago builder and developer who moved to Los Angeles in the 1940s to become a building inspector for the City of Los Angeles. By 1947, he and his wife Peggy had formed the Gregg P. Kent Corporation, which made its name building homes in the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas.
Crestwood Home Building Team Two members of the family's second generation, Mike Kent and Kitty Garvey, founded Crestwood Communities in 1978, continuing their father's legacy of homebuilding pride and integrity. They were soon joined by the first of several third-generation Kents and Garveys, who have also become part of the family tradition. Now some 35 years later, Crestwood continues to build quality single-family homes that blend innovative design, stylish architecture and preferred amenities to enhance each carefully selected community setting.
