We purchased the home as it was almost completed (didn't build out ourselves). We have had quite a few issues, most of which were resolved after multiple contacts, but still have some issues we are told we just have to wait until they get to it with no actual time frame.

the paint job is really bad. that i will have to repaint the whole hose soon. also the concrete in front of the main door is not even, they been saying that i t will get fix soon but nothing yet .

Still waiting for the external trim problem to be replaced. It has sharp corners that will cut someone's hand and quality of workmanship poor. I addressed this with Michael again this week. This my 4 or 5 discussion about the problem since before purchasing the house. Someone pretended to adjust the problem by adding large globs of silicone to the sharp corners and rough edged opening that were not turned -in correctly in a professional manner.

Lack of detail on the property. So many things were wrong when I walked through but most of it has been fixed. Still needs painting and windows frames repaired. So many people to deal with.

What started as a family achieving the American dream by buying their first home has turned into a nightmare

Broken sewage main line caused by negligence, incompetence, lack of oversight and inspection left us without taking a shower, brushing our theeth and flusing the toilet for one week. Now my driveway is damage after excavating to repair the pipe and Pulte Homes refuses to repair the damage caused. I am not asking Pulte Homes to stand behing the concrete warranty and repair it, i am asking Pulte Homes to replace my driveway because they damage it as a direct consecuence of the sewage line repair. It is a matter of right and wrong!

The mortgage side, title side, insurance we’re all great to work with, but Pulte needs to allow its team more control over their vendors. The detail work was below expectations, that’s even when they decided to show up. Closed 2 months late and it’s a real shame our first home buying experience went this way, rather not do it again

Overall buying experience was poor. The house was not complete at closing. I drove to the house after closing only to see painters inside doing repairs that should've already been completed. It took over a month after closing to get the correct appliances delivered. The driveway surface was damaged from ice during construction and still has not been addresed almost 2 months after closing. It is a nice house, but due to the overall buying and closing experience, I would not recommend Pulte.

Had several issues with our buying experience. I had several issues during the building process and had poor response time by the site manager. Things had to be repeated several times during the walk through inspections that they were not done correctly. Poor communication by the site manager when there we issues that should have been brought to our attention. We have lived in our home for over a month and have yet to receive sod. We were promised it would be done within two weeks of closing and here we are with no sod and two dogs with no yard. Overall it was a poor experience.

The lack of communication is almost enough to make you wish we bought somewhere else. We have had issues with our closing date, our driveway, the HVAC and the landscaping in the backyard. All other issues are to be expected and are small. It has been a frustrating experience. The communication is horrible. Driveway was in disrepair since the day we moved in (nobody told us about this until we went to do the final walk through the day of closing). the whole inside of the house is painted the same color. all the walls and trim work? water company charged us for 19000 gallons of water used, we were not living there yet and still as this date haven't?

The Home The house itself is great construction and we love our home. There were many issues that were not resolved until after closing but several (stained carpet, scratched tubs, missing kitchen cabinet) were resolved quickly. I have crooked bricks in the exterior, missing quarter round, vinyl floor planks moving and oh the internet cable was not laid for the entire phase two group. I have been operating off hotspots and I telework. How does a critical work item not get executed during a project, it’s baffling. Who know when it will actually get done. I will pass on this experience with any one interested and continue to inform anyone who will listen.

Go with another builder!

Our project manager does not have the knowledge to build a house. Contractors do less than quality work and it is acceptable to the PM. We had to point out several issues. They installed broken window, broken cabinet, unlevel flooring, no straight walls, terrible paint job and I could go on and on. You close and move in and it is a pain to get the outstanding work completed after they have your money. Go elsewhere!

A common theme of frustration

If you go with Centex I highly encourage you have a third party home inspection completed prior to closing. Do not close until all of your issues are completely resolved. It will save you several hours of frustration ofter closing by getting the defects resolved prior to Centex/Pulte getting their funds.
