It took us meeting with 6 Lennar people to come up with a resolution. Not the easiest to work with except one person (Patrick) stood up and put the problem in their court, where it was to begin with, and we finally agreed.

Half Truths

We were lead to believe that if we put a deposit down to hold the lot that when the house was actually framed we would be able to get our deposit back if we did not like the house. One week after we put the deposit down we had to pay an earnest money. If I would have seen the completed house before the earnest money, I would have had serious second thoughts. I also made it abundantly clear that I plans on paying cash, but was still hounded by Lennar Lending to go through the loan process. A total waste of time.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Bruce, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear you felt you were misled. We hope that moving forward, we can earn back your trust by providing a great Homeowner experience. If you have any warrantable items or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local customer care team by submitting a warranty request through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a quicker resolution. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Great Lennar people but subcontractors lack attention to detail and quality control.

We don't have any real problems with the Lennar people on the front lines, those we dealt with face-to-face. Our sales rep was terrific and our Lennar Mortgage rep was terrific also, but his underwriter/manager was an unreasonable nightmare, demanding documents and substantiation two days before scheduled closing, when that stuff should have been asked for weeks in advance. The stress that caused was enough to register on the Richter Scale. Beyond that, there were two big irritants, one as we were going through the buying process and one after we moved in. First, Lennar's marketing hype ...

Lennar choose to use Rannai Tankless water heaters. what they also CHOOSE to do was NOT include a way to control it with out a service call. NOBODY knew anything about the heater. NOTHING. After many hours of extreme frustration over 3 days and disbelief this is actually happening, Ryan came thru after learning what to do to get it running again. This was unnecessary frustration if Lennar has spent the $155 to install a controller to the unit, so thanks for that time wasted. Heres a tip... TRAIN your folks about the products you put in your homes. NOBODY could answer tankless question until ...

Felt like my concerns during build were brushed aside. Have lived here for a few months and still finding things that are weird/not straight, clumps of texture that we didn't catch on walk thru. Floor plan is great. Located near schools. Probably would try not to buy from lennar again. Someday could be a good rental property.

Alot of information was not included with buying this house & quiet a few issues came up. 1. New owners have to seal all the grout throughout the entire home.(found this AFTER we moved in by neighbors also upset about this.)2. If a wall has a crack or the window bead is coming away from the wall, custmer care will not fix it for an entire YEAR, because it is considered cosmetic(sure hope visitors don't mind seeing this in our BRAND NEW home!)3. Wooden floors creek, ALOT, didnt notice this in the final walkthru.4. Poor insulation, noise carries throughout the entire house.5. An electrical ...

I hope you don't get the same lady we had. She lied to us several times. The other people we dealt with were ok. Lennar cuts so many corners that produces a sub par quality house. The fences are complete crap. interior paint is horrible. I would not recommend buying a home from them.

They wont budge on anything, you want an outlet somewhere? Too bad! You offer them 200$ to put the outlet there? Nope nada! Any upgrades to materials have to come out of pocket (not through mortgage) and you have to use their vendor who will gouge you because they know you cant get additional offers. Default floors are not waterproof, this is the pnw, we get water. Site mgr is a little man (matt) who will try to get you in trouble for checking on the progress of your half million investment. Cute floor plans, but they phone it in and then act like theyre doing you a favor

Cooper Mountain Heights Lacks Quality

Lennar has gotten so big they have lost sight of customer service and quality home building. It appears to be more about the sale and getting the houses up as fast as possible no matter what. Quality of the homes is seriously lacking. The interior finish work is extremely sloppy. The materials used are sub-standard. The interior paint job is one thin coat of flat paint. After third-party home inspection multiple areas were not to code and had to be redone. The home buying process is cumbersome and not buyer friendly.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon, thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the issues with customer service, quality of materials, interior finish work, and the home-buying process. We hope to improve your experience with us moving forward. One of the worst experience we ever had with Lennar. We had a bad experience dealing with salesperson Melinda to construction lead worker Louis said they would take care of the stuff but never did. We found a lot of water in the crawl space and pointed out sidewalk concrete damage during the construction workers. They trick us into accepting the defaults in the house and convince us they will take care of it but once we close the house they leave us in the dark. Honest advice we would not recommend anyone to buy from Lennar .

When expressing my concerns to builder, they just laughed and ignored the concerns. The builder repeatedly and intentionally stalled providing some key details (especially purchase price) so that they could drive the purchase price up ~$60,000 in 4 months). The quality of workmanship leaves something to be desired (things are already breaking after only 3 months in the home). The builder is unresponsive to requests to correct issues (still waiting for a blind rod to open/close blinds; still waiting for deck stairs to be fully finished (missing side trim) after 3 months

None of the property have flat land nothing was don’t from a landscaping perspective. All of our properties have bumps and uneven land making it extremely difficult or impossible to use a tractor or lawnmower to cut grass. Extremely disappointing.
