Throughout the building process, we were informed of all the extras the Del Webb/Pulte puts into a home. Any cosmetic problems we had were handled very quickly. We are happy we purchased this home.

You have some excellent people.

Homes are nice, and we love the complex, but upgrades are excessively expensive. Head construction supervisor promises quick fixes for issues but doesn’t follow through and requires numerous attempts to get things done. We are still waiting on several issues we were promised would be done within a week, a month and a half later.

Was an excellent experience while house was being built. Chad our supervisor was excellent. The workers seemed to take care of any and all things. I do have an issue with the landscape people. Once they put in a very sparse space and problems came up they ignored all my needs to fix the items that had problems. I had to pay someone outside to take care of the problems. Lastly - The response on fixing things after we owned the house is less then adequate.

We love our new home! We love the community! The overall home buying experience was very good. There are opportunities for greatness, however. Tracy, our sales rep, was amazing. Professional and knowledgeable every step of the way. She helped made the process smooth and delightful and instilled confidence in us. The options selection was the area of biggest concern for us. You have to be an informed buyer. Most of the build quality issues could make this an amazing experience. Some are related to skill and oversight and others are related to materials. Having purchased a number of new homes over the years, I was extremely disappointed with the build quality of this new home. It would appear that the sub-contractors, were in a hurry to complete their part of the construction. I am also surprised that the builders walk through did not identify a number of issues.

Order of events: 1. Move in day: the air conditioner no longer worked. A compressor was defective. Hum, an omen of things to follow? 2. Three days later the air is fixed, but a wind storm came up and half the house lost power. Why did a breaker switch turn off? 3. After living in the home a few days there were a number of issues with the painting...it was a mess. A month later, we're still working on having that addressed. Also, there is and still is paint splashed all over the brick work. Sloppy? Perhaps...thank goodness I didn't paint it for I'm sure it would have been worse since I'm not a professional. 4. Stainless steel sink has scratches in it...must have been my fault or perhaps it's not as "quality" as one might presume. At least that's what I have been told..."we don't use the best materials." 5. Breaker has tripped four times in four weeks. 6. Granite counter was chipped...but that was fixed; however, upon the repair guy telling me it was not sealed (I wondered why water was soaking into the stone) I realized that $500k does not actually buy sealer for another "quality item." 7. Evening walks display beer bottles and caps in building areas. Perhaps it's for happy hour when the work day is finished...perhaps. 8. Ceiling fan outlet appears to be wired incorrectly...not sure how many are that way, but had an electrical engineer over to look at it and there is no power. However, when speaking with the "approved electrician" he seems to think I had something to do with it not being operable. He'll be here to fix the door bell since it sticks. 9. Guest bathroom window is scratched. This is only week six since move-in. I wish I could be more positive, but alas, my neighbors also feel the pain of "quality." I'm afraid they will not speak up. As it is, I have to remain anonymous. I'm sure they will know who wrote this. On the plus side...I have exceptional neighbors. That is the best part of living here. ... More

The home I purchased is really well built in almost every way. However, when they come across a problem that affects many if not most homeowners they tell us what we need to do to fix the problem. In particular they installed a cheap garage door that does not allow for adjustments. Yes I have spoken to multiple Experts and and I am using their words. A new home should have a secure closing garage door. We live in a windy and Sandy area and I have owned 2 other homes in the area and have never had this problem. I expect a number of us will be contacting higher Pulte management to discuss solutions to what is clearly a major problem for many homeowners and the lack of a real solution we have received. Pulte has been very good about fixing the small problems encountered, and the sales staff has been wonderful. ... More

The workmanship is excellent

Process was easy, including setting up my mortgage with Pulte. Have had a couple issues since I moved in, but each were immediately addressed and taken care of.

Quality is the best, and follow up since purchase has been 5 star!!!

I purchased my home and moved in to have problems that I still have to address. The exterior painting is awful. Some of the interior walls need to be repainted. My AC circuit breaker keeps tripping, the caps on Tile roof(end with cement) is not great, looks like cement paint is off and sloppy . My fireplace doesn't light up after it was fixed.

We got a lot for what we paid. It is value priced for retirement. Good enough to last and affordable enough to enjoy and not over stretch our budget. The options were fantastic, although pricey. If you are on a tight budget, the basic package is just fine!

House address out of sequence with the rest of the street therefore delivery people cannot find or think we don’t exist

We are Canadian. Our purchase is a second home to enjoy our prospective retirement in California which we have visited now year to year for about 15 years. We have considered home purchase in the Palm Springs area for several years but did not find any location or home suitable until we attended the Del Webb development in Rancho Mirage. The show homes were impressive and the decision to make a purchase was instant. Many of the fine features in the home were of course upgrades which enlarged the base price of the home significantly but were deemed necessary to accommodate what appealed to us about the home we chose. Many of the upgrades were packages such that you either chose a particular upgrade in whole. ie the lighting fixtures with the wiring but not just the wiring, which was a little frustrating in managing some level of budget. However, in the result, speaking of the completed product, overall the product is excellent. There are small issues as might reasonably be expected on some installation currently kitchen cabinets and sadly the kitchen sink, which in particular, looked bright and shiny, but for whatever reason is apparently not of sterling quality. Hopefully that will be in the fullness of time during the warrantly be remedied correctly. Otherwise, the foreman and his immediate supervisor, and their crew that carried out the construction of the home, were a complete pleasure to work with, and were extraordinarily attentive to our schedule for visiting the construction site. Absolutely sterling in their performance. Their manner and conduct gave good represenation of Del Webb. And makes us confident that any deficiencies which seem overall few, will be fully and completely remedied. On final comment, our Sales person was also very helpful in the process and was attentive to our questions and as the process of purchase moved along was very good at resolving any ongoing issues associated with completing the purchase. ... Escrow only closed about six weeks ago so my experience is new and minimal, but positive.

A very nice house in a nice community. Looking forward to the Del Webb lifestyle.

I recently moved into my second home in the Rancho Mirage community. Why - you ask? Because the lot I originally wanted had not been released. When the lot was available, eight months after my first purchase, I decided to take a chance and put my original home up for sale. The home sold immediately. I am now enjoying a view of the mountains in my (second) new home in the same community. LOVE IT! Love it!

It was actually hard to chose which model we wanted to build on our lot. great designs and features and very good customer service & communication from our construction supervisor, Jason, and our salesman, Steve, during the whole building and turnover process. Beautiful community and can't wait to use the club house as soon as it's completed.
