Since the pre-closing walkthrough, I noticed a lot of items were really low quality and very poor workmanship. I addressed those items, specifically the carpet and carpets padding and the wood strip that keeps it affixed to the corners. Nails were sticking out around the edges, making it a hazard for residents walking barefooted in their own home. I brought up the concern very clearly but nothing was done about that. I have bought sever new construction homes and have had the opportunity to experience an array of quality in this experiences. This has been by far the worst homebuying experience I have had. My house was months late, the realtor and construction team did not communicate the delays to me in a timely manner which left me homeless for months. This has been the most challenging and most unprofessional process I have gone through. Let me start with the workmanship; our house is still being worked on because of the awful job done throughout the house. Worst framework, squeaky subfloor, seems like the entire house is uneven. Lousy painting job. cracked on the vinyl planks, crappy concrete job, the list goes on..... The construction manager keeps saying: "We are production builders". So? All they care is production but not quality. Overall: Very poor workmanship.

Don’t build during a pandemic

Overall the experience was sub par. I’ll start by saying our construction manager was fantastic throughout the entire process. The house however is already showing is lack of workmanship. We have horribly poor mud and tape throughout the ceiling and some walls of the entire house and are in the process of having the framers and drywallers get back out in order to scrape, re mud and tape and then reapply the texture and paint for both up and down stairs. Poor workmanship. The day I closed, there was leak from broken pipe that was poorly done from the ceiling that flood the house. Electricals not done properly and too many issues with the home. Don't be in rush to close, wait at least a week after the house is completed.

These folks have a great salesperson without a fulfillment team to back them up. The field manager is unresponsive, inept, and is frankly over his head.

I’m not sure that I have enough space to truly voice my disappointment for this whole process; both sales and building. I wouldn’t recommend this team of builders, nor the mortgage company they offer, during the buying process. At the end of the day, I didn’t feel like a valued home owner. I was met with arrogance, ignorance, miscommunication, lack of respect. But I’m home, I guess.

I will never buy another Centex Home. A month without air conditioning is completely unacceptable. 90+ degree days. I have a baby. A MONTH. Do you have any idea how many times I heard, "we'll be back out tomorrow." I had chipped granite countertops that I had to keep bringing up. Very bad workmanship, rushed to closed without finishing the house

The house was rushed to closed by the builder even it was not completed. The third-party inspector told me not to buy this house as he was so worried about the build quality. When we move in the house so many incomplete items need to be fixed, we have to take time off work to stay and wait for their independent contractor schedule to fix those that should have been finished before hand.

Flooding issues.

They do not level the back yard for drainages unless they put the grass, my house did not include grass on the back and since we moved in and weeks prior to closing my yard was flooded and told many times my construction manager and never fix it, it’s been 3 months since we moved in and I still have the same issue and they refuse to fix it. I bought a new “quality” home to not have these issues but it’s been a terrible experience. Warranty guy never contacted me or email me about warranties.

The entire process was a horrible experience. We will never use Pulte/Centex again. Misinformation and lack of communication was an issue throughout the process. Even to the point they lied about the inspectors appointments which resulted in delays in closing, failed to disclose critical repairs need day before closing, construction manager did not even do a final walk through - before or after closing. This centex builder is not Upto the mark. They are building the homes to sell it fast. They are not looking for the quality of the house. The engineers working for centex are not professionally qualified and they mostly don’t know how to build the house but they are doing that. They are asking the buyer to close the house without completing the home and the buyer mostly don’t know about few things and they are rush to close because of the time limits.

Terrible, terrible buying experience. Builder purposely delayed close because we chose to use a third party lender. We were homeless living in an extended stay hotel with our pets for weeks because of their intentional delays. Pulte Mortgage was EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE in trying to keep us from going elsewhere. The “incentives” they offer buyers are eaten up by their ridiculously high fees, so you actually net zero dollars towards the purchase. I have lived in my home less than 2 months and it is little falling apart. The longer I live here the more issues I have. The attention to detail is terrible. The quality is terrible. My cabinets must have been installed by someone with no experience. The texture and paint have to be fixed. The shower rod is so cheap it literally broke when I hung my shower curtain. I’m so frustrated with this home.
