The materials are good quality, the workmanship sucks as well as the organization process. Different companies (not Pulte exactly) do different things like tile, paint, countertops, kitchen cabinets. That is normal when such a big company as Pulte hires subcontractors. But when it comes to the closing day you get chipped paint on the doors, baseboards, trims, your get not even paint on the walls, missed spots without paint or only one layer of paint instead of 2, missing silicone layers in the bathrooms (where they need to be), cracked sockets, cracked tiles, etc. Small touch-ups but still these are little issues that need to be fixed. So I took photos of each issue, wrote a text with an explanation of what I don't like, and sent it to the Pulte representative. Then Pulte representative will schedule appointments with those different subcontractors. But when one of them comes, he says "this is not our job, these are others, schedule an appointment with them". And on his side he does not see your photos with the issues, he has a task from Pulte "touch up countertop in the...". What this "touch up" means nobody knows, except you because only you still have photos of the issues. And when you show him a photo and the issues let's say with the countertop edge, the worker will say "Oh no, I do only silicone on the countertop, I am not responsible for countertop edges, you should schedule an appointment with another team in our company". So you then contact Pulte, explain all that and try to reschedule an appointment with the silicone layer guy. I realize that those are other companies with whom Pulte works. I can not blame Pulte 100%, but those repairs definitely take time, worker often come to the house are do not know what they need to fix exactly, so if you don't have your own list with stuff they need to fix, they will not fix anything. They like saying "We do not do that, it is not our work, schedule an appointment with painters, or any other team". That is not really convenient process of doing business, the whole thing takes time and if the homebuyer does not understand about house repairs and will not ask a ton of questions - this will take a lot of time. And as a result, you think bad about Pulte, because this is the company you bought the house from. We have now a case when the workers told Pulte representative, they came to our house to fix let's say chipped paint, and we told them we don't need their service anymore. how in the world I could say that when I still have that issue with the cracked paint and want it to be fixed. Looks like workers just try to skip some of the appointments. But once again you first think bad about Pulte and their representative will be the one whom you will tell how angry you are about this situation. Overall this is an organizational issue with subcontractors. But I still trust Pulte, is a big company and I see them building several communities in our state as well as all around USA. The quality of the work is great. We love our new home. The punch list was not completed and we are still waiting for some items to be completed after a full 5 weeks.

A smooth process from beginning to end. Any of the minor issues along the way were addressed and resolved.

Excellent experience! Professional sale Tracey who is very responsive even when she moved to a different community. She still answer my questions during her vacations! Project manager Greg is super helpful and professional too. He has been very patience with all my questions and taking care of all the issues we brought up. His work is beyond my expectations. I will definitely recommend Pulte to my friends.

It was nice to have good communication with the builder and their managers. Quick answers to tough questions were not uncommon.

The sales rep and project manager was GREAT at this location. I'm a licensed RE agent and have gone through a LOT of sales reps and PM's and these two made the experience smooth and easy. They were great at keeping us updated (even with the minor delays) and answered all of our concerns/questions we had.

We love everything about our new home! We were thrilled to be able to pick out all of the finishes and make our home custom to us -they offered a lot of choices to really make the hone work for us as a family.

Very bad closing experience with Pulte Mortgage. There are issues with water staying in front of the house and some other issues internally.

Highly recommend getting your new home from Pulte. This is my first time purchasing a home and my experience was great. Having a new construction home is nice because you get to witness your house becoming a home. Pulte was amazing and I would work with them in the future if I was looking to buy a home.

Pulte offered an amazing home design that was extremely functional for our family. Throughout the process we were told how Pulte goes above and beyond industry standards to ensure a high quality home is delivered. However, that was not the case. The building process with Pulte was awful. While our Field Manager was great, the quality of workmanship across was sub-par. We moved into our home with a long list of repairs still outstanding. As we move forward after the 1 month follow up, we find ourselves finding more things that need to reworked then before. Pulte is more set on getting these homes off their books then an delivering quality homes to their customers. The quality of the home and the responsiveness by Pulte were outstanding. There were minor issues with paint and mortar on the garage floor that were quickly taken care of. My only complaint, which I didn't bring up for resolution, is the fact that after the tile was set, the finish subcontractors that followed did not wear booties. I wanted to seal the floor tile grout before occupancy and it was dirty enough that I had to clean it before I could seal it. I did not bring this issue up but just cleaned it myself, which took a full day. I am having a second home built in Hampton Lakes at River Hall and have discussed this issue with the Construction Foreman. We shall see if the next home is better. ... More

Great floorplans, quality materials, pleasant people to work with.

Had so many issues with our home in Creekside Crossing Plainfield Illinois. Our sales experience was pretty lacking and it really relied on us to make the right decisions here which of course led to some gaps at the end (seemed like she never though we would buy, even after we put down our deposit). There were also quite a few options that were available but not on our options sheet which we missed out on (additional windows is an example). Designer was pretty helpful though we didn't run through all the options so we had to keep asking for things we were seeing on the wall and what could be done. Not sure if she didn't want to upsell us or if she was in a rush but in either case we had to be our own advocates here as well (also wasn't perfectly knowledgeable, told us we couldn't have 3 glass shower shelves in the bathroom because the height would be too high but we could have easily had one at 1', 3' and 5' since we have one at 3' and 5' and the tile is 2' long). Construction manager never sent us meeting notes from our pre-construction meeting so that led to a series of miscommunications making it all the way to the end of the build (which were refused to be corrected; ethernet located on the exterior instead of attic). Communication was pretty substandard and for every 4 emails we sent we would get back maybe 1 which wouldn't answer everything either (no regular updates either on progress until much later in the process). Found quite a few errors at our pre-drywall meeting and even more at our celebration which were options we selected and were never installed (humidifier, outlets outside/inside, ethernet port, conduit from attic to basement, etc.). There are also sooo many quality issues we have tickets for corrections for and they are still not completed 2 months after closing (we are even missing some sod in our backyard). Their contractors they recommend who worked on the home (who you have to use to maintain your warranty by the way) either won't respond, refused to do the work or come in double to triple other comparable vendors. Great example was the plumber, refused to work with us and provide an estimate for a water softener, their second recommendation (who would void our warranty) came in 2.5 times more than what a local water softening company came in to do the work for (and they provided me a life time warranty even instead of the 1 year with the plumber they said). Had to fix a siding issue (due to the mistake with the exterior ethernet) and their contractor told me he wouldn't work with me because I didn't speak Spanish. I told the construction managers and they said they would get me someone else but never did (who also would void my warranty...). Very disappointed with the whole process. Also, despite me ranking their surveys poorly and even listing my name/number in them I haven't heard anything from their corporate office. Just an awful experience. ... More

The Sales staff was excellent as was the building superintendent. We never saw the house from buying until after closing. We did a video walk through. We very pleased with the house.

It was a great experience going through the process. They were helpful if I had questions they would answer my question.

I appreciate quality workers are hard to come by during this time but I was really disappointed at the quality of work and attention to detail…painting, staining, etc. we paid for all black, beautiful hardware throughout the house and almost every door knob has paint on it. Happy to be in the house but it’s clear at the end they just want to rush through things and close. I’d imagine Pulte would save a ton of money if things didn’t have to be redone 2 and 3 times…

Overall great experience. Very responsive, even after closing. A few attention to detail issues with finishes. Overall would recommend to other buyers.

Buying experience was great. Have some issues quality wise though, but Pulte is helping to resolve them.

Overall, it was a good time to buy a home which is why i did. Prices were rising and you needed to get in somewhere. Would I go with Pulte in the future? No, i'd try someone else out. I had to stay on top of them during the build process and when i mentioned issues, i was assured it would be taken care of. Weeks turned into a few months and during the last two weeks of closing they attempted to fix those issues when it should have been taken care of far in advance when it was brought up. Today after living in the home for two months, I'm finding other issues. Which brings me to their whole warranty process. For example, in my master shower, they never sealed the grout on the top tiles. I could stick my fingers all the way down just about anywhere on the top row. When i called it in, they came and sealed it. However, they wouldnt paint it. That means i have to call it in again to get it painted now and smoothed out. Its pretty dumb that I have to call an issue in multiple times to get it fixed 100%. The outside of my door never got sealed like the windows. I inspected other homes and they are in fact supposed to be sealed. Paint on the inside of the window frames never got cleaned up like i requested. Touch up on paint around the metal sealed plates on the ceiling (where fans/lightsgo) never got touched up. Pretty sloppy and definitely wouldnt try Pulte again. ... More

Nice home. Nice people to work with. Slow to respond to after the sale warranty issues. Overall, a positive experience.
