Many basics to my transition were unattended such as Comcast not yet connected to my building unit. Then a 45 minute drive to Naples to pick up my equipment. There was garage door remote nor a pad outside for Manuel use. The sliding door wasn’t secure and couldn’t be locked for several days. The same for the garage back entrance door. The electric outlets were confusing since some couldn’t be activated without a wall switch.

Lennar - Weird customer service experience with Lennar.

Weird customer service experience with Lennar. Seems like they are rushing through closings and leaving too many outstanding items to be fixed after I moved in. House is nice and I’m happy I bought it but Lennar as a company has not impressed me at all.. quite the opposite.

Their lack of responsiveness to issues during and after the building process.

Lennar is a large impersonal company. Information flows downhill from above and it appears to me that most employees are afraid to act on behalf of the customer because they are afraid of making waves. This is my second Lennar house in 3 years and I have experienced this phenomenon repeatedly. Also, they are VERY slow to respond to service issues, especially if you are misguided enough, as I was, to close before the house was actually complete. Once they have your money, they are even more unresponsive. Be aware the Lennar is nothing more than a "tract" builder who is always trying to cut ...

Lack of accountability

Let me start by saying that the sales office (Elena and Juan) did an amazing job of communicating and being accountable throughout the entire buying experience. The pain point for my family and I came with the construction team. Their lack of accountability and effective communication was extremely unprofessional. There were numerous times that I had to get the sales office involved to get prompt feedback from construction. We had two walkthroughs before closing, one a week from closing and one the day of closing. At our first walk through we created a multi-page list of issues that should ...

Not unhappy, generally speaking, but Lennar is a production builder and they're not flexible with the product they deliver. It's "garden variety". You can't upgrade anything. You get what you get.

The homebuying experience with Lennar was great but it's been a rocky road of ups and downs since that point. The day of our closing was a nightmare. The closing manager withheld the keys from us because the wire didn't officially hit their bank until later that evening, even though she was sent a receipt from the settlement company that the transfer was done. Also, we were sold on a "smart home" in a community that Lennar has not secured reliable Internet for. We can't use any of the smart home features and working from home on a hotspot has proven to be a real challenge. The quality of the ...

This is our second Lennar home and this one is quite poor compared to our first. Our home was well buiult but the finsih stuff - flooring, painting, grouting, cabinets looked like they were odne by a 5 year old and the place was filthy when we moved into it. We still have unresolved issues but you have good construction managers who do follow through. I'll never buy another Lennar home and the worst of it is it too almost 10 months to get a product that was quite disappointing.

The building process was disorganized and needs better planning and communication

Building a home is very difficult, but building during a pandemic is extraordinarily stressful. supplies are always limited and timelines are completely disregarded. there needs to be teams working with the buyers in order to keep communication flowing. It seems that materials that arrive or not going to the homes that have been waiting the longest, but being distributed randomly. I am sure this is wasteful and costly for the builder, but frustrating for the buyer who waits months for supplies to arrive at their home only to see that other homes that were purchased much later were completed ...

I believe the builder are good people. Just to much work in a short time. When your moving fast you make mistakes. Service after the sale is everything, at present the response times on painting and repairs are slow. I hope we get all of our punch list taken care of as some are big. Hoping for the best that we are able to get them completed. Note, the walk way down to the lake is to steep and not wide enough for two golf carts. This is dangerous and does not make sense for a 55 over community. This need immediate attention before someone gets injured. Question how often have you used this ...

I was provided a list of inclusions that were inaccurate, several items were not included. I am confused by the everything included tagline because I see that everything is only included if you are an investor. Ironically the items I was told you can’t get were included on the investor homes. Also, I have had two warranty requests and although I was told everything would be repaired only a couple things have been with no word on the other items. It appears employee turnover is part of the problem.

We've been in our new home for about 6 wks now. It's a nice home, but the process was riddled with slip-ups, pushbacks, and several missed deadlines that caused much anxiety, frustration, and cost a few extra thousand dollars that was not in the budget. The sad part is...I can't even say it was worth all we went through. Firstly, I do NOT recommend Lennar Mortgage; secure your funding elsewhere if you can. They made ridiculously simple mistakes and oversights that pushed out our closing (after we were SPECIFICALLY told this wouldn't be the case). Poor response communication, unless they ...

The whole process was not what I expected. The sales person was not truthful in some of her statement i don't believe she cared about how i felt as a buyer. They could do alot better with helping you set up your smart home. They want you to pay someone to come out and set the equipment up when I think it should have been properly set up when we moved in. We been here for 2 months and still can't get the keyless door to work. Lennar needs to be a little more focus on the customers experience.

I was so excited to purchase a new build that I felt rushed to make my decision and choices to avoid being left out. Had I known what I know now, things would have gone a little differently. Also, the quality of the workmanship is subpar. Make sure the materials and quality are what you are paying for and not just the fact that you have a new home.

Rush to close and not have house ready, missing features.

Do not close until the house is complete with all the options as advertised. Bombardment of emails without awareness of the urgent ones required for closing documentation and frequent missing closing information such as routing numbers etc requiring physically acquiring this information and possibly closing check on the day of closing. After closing and being inconvenienced after moving all items into house and having to address issues that should have been resolved prior to closing.

I liked the Lennar staff that I dealt with during this process. A couple things of note: 1. The "everything's included" concept is pretty nice but was disappointed in some parts of the execution. Pros: no stressful process of picking out finishes. Some nice features I would not have had otherwise like the gas fireplace and flex room (my office). Cons: All finishes/colors very neutral and not much character (I understand why they do this). Poor materials in some cases with no option to upgrade (cheap carpet and paint, painted door hinges and crack and pop when opening/closing ...

No matter what they tell you, add three to four months to the expected delivery date. If you are waiting on a home to be built you must be proactive and engaging. Do not expect anyone to keep you informed about the progress of your build. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. The excuses you may hear range from late inspections, COVID manpower shortages, to supply chain issues. The overall construction is average this includes paint, flooring, and cabinets. If you are expecting a custom build with high-end performance, you can check that at the door. Lennar is an all-inclusive company - ...
