Many defects / Poor Workmanship. It’s obvious that the team that builds these homes is more interested in Quantity and not Quantity / Pride in workmanship…

If I could go back in time and make this decision, I would not have bought this house. The materials and build quality are not great. The rushed job to get the home done and up for sale is clear. Id recommend staying away. The only good part of the experience has been the people, for the most part. Lennar doesnt have a great 24 hour emergency service. My wife and I had to go a night without heat a few weeks after closing because Lennar didnt have a plumber that could fix a part that broke. Other than that the personnel here are nice people, who seem to care for the most part. We hear ...

Promote Fidel, address performance issues with the rest.

Since the close only one Lennar employee (Fidel) seems to genuinely care about the customer experience. I’ve had direct experience with 4 Lennar employees. As a former business executive of multi-national companies in the service delivery and customer experience business, and judging from a customer experience perspective, I would promote 1 of the 4 (Fidel), fire 1 of the 4, and put the other 2 on performance improvement plans. Which, by the way, Lennar needs as I believe the issue is systemic within the culture of Lennar. This is the 9th home I’ve purchased and the 6th new home, I would rate ...

Hire an independent inspector prior to closing to avoid the long delays on items discovered after closing. Note that you sign away some warranty coverage required by state to you disadvantage and to Lennar's advantage.

"Mixed Experience: Great Home and Service, but Poor Communication During Purchase"

  • Anthony Christopher S.

Our experience purchasing a new home had its ups and downs. While the overall process was okay, there were significant frustrations, particularly with communication during the financing stage. The loan officer's communication was extremely slow, and getting clear answers about pricing and current incentives was challenging. My questions were frequently passed around between the sales agent, the loan officer, and other employees, which created delays. Unfortunately, these delays resulted in me locking in a higher interest rate than I could have if responses had been more timely and ...

There are a lot of negatives that I could highlight about my home buying experience with Lennar but instead I will just say make sure you have a Good realtor, hire your own inspector and Fact Check everything.

My experience left a lot to be desired_ fortunately we had a good and helpful realtor

Given what we know now and experience during the home buying process, we wish we had gone another direction. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. And the use of cheap materials in the house construction and finishing is very poor_ eg cheap paint which easily stains and peels off when wiped with a wet cloth. Nice walk-in shower cubicle but no shower doors. Door paint chips and dirt on inside walls not repaired as promised after final inspection.

Overpriced and finished too fast

The main issue was after moving in and finding all kinds of not quite finished things, places where there’s messed up paint(or none at all), damaged ceiling, wall, doors etc. Things not being square is also an issue. I spent nearly 1/2 the price of this home with KB and had a MUCH nicer end product, especially for the price. The market sucks for buyers and these builders are raking it in with a smile on their face.

We have been denied our due diligence. Incomplete work and after a month we’ve made no progress. Leaving voicemail with no returned calls. No door stops in the house and bad flooring in the great room. It’s separating and sticking up above floor level. PLEASE HELP! I’ve already spoken to BBB. If something is not done I’ll be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Helpful during the buying process, after you bought it....

I recently bought my home, and I love it. The people involved were excellent during the process. They quickly answered their phones, saying, "If you need anything, call us." However, after buying the home, some minor things started popping up, and getting a hold of those people seemed impossible. Another issue is the mess left (hidden) in and out of the house. Soda bottles are above the cabinets. For the outside, water bottles, beer cans, electrical wires, lots of small to medium concrete pieces, and a few metal pieces used for connecting wood were found while digging/cleaning the ...

The home buying expereince was seemless except for the rates

The home buying expereince was seemless except for the rate. The models are really and the home build quality looks extremely good. The support after we moved in was a bit okay and has room for improvement. What I hated the most in the home buying process is the sales rep said that they have interest rates specials but would quote different rates and would defer it to the lender. The lender quotes different rates to different people and when asked about matching the rate that my friend got, she asks me to check with the sales rep and they just blame each other and finally I had to go with ...

Interaction with pre-sale representative was great. The experience went down hill from there. The house was not ready for inspection. Kitchen cabinet doors missing, range hood not installed, scratches on refrigerator. Window screen on the front porch was missing. Lawn care had been neglected and the entire yard was in horrible condition. A third party inspector identified and documented these issues along with others. Informed that it would all the issues would be resolved by the second walk through. Not all items were completed prior to closing and unfortunately, issues now have to be ...

Landscape issue not fully resolved as reported before moving in, which should have allowed for down pmt to be refunded. Pressured to close. Hoping that community involvement will make the home buying experience worth the investment. AM grateful for having been offered a reduction in price to accommodate seller motivation to complete present development.

I was familiar with lennar homes because family members had purchased homes with lennar. However the buying experience was less than ideal. The selling agent, lennar lenders, title company... none were on one accord. We kept getting conflicting information regarding the closing date, what we needed to close, etc. Once we moved in, we realized that issues that we were told would be fixed before closing had not been addressed. The stove did not work, a piece of the refrigerator was missing that was present during our walk through, the kitchen sink had scratches that were not present ...

As it was a new house, There is a lot of details they I as a customer did not see on the walk dates, as soon as i wanted to inform about the issues, Lennar team was not helpful to attend or fix these issues, not only myself. some neighbors have had many issues as well, it looks like they wanted to build fast and not taking care of the quality. I'm sorry for myself that I already purchased and not have the chance to buy somewhere else.

I went through a realtor which was a BIG mistake. Because of doing this I did not get to pick any countertops ,fixtures and flooring. I also did not find out anything about the neighborhood like are there going to be ant parks for children, dogs and for everyone to sit in and meet other people in the neighborhood. Also I would have found out that gutters are not put on in the back of your townhome and neither is a patio and to put one in can be quite an issue with the association here.

At first Lennar seems like a great company to work with. That quickly disappears once they have you under contract. They expect everything under the sun from you at a moments notice. Yet, when you have questions or concerns they take their sweet time. There were a lot of small issues we found during our new home orientation. They had 8 days to fix them yet most of them were “fixed” during the final walkthrough. We are mostly happy with our home but I would not recommend Lennar to anyone. It was a stressful experience.
