The finishing work on our property was awful. We closed over a month ago and are still having troubles getting the repairs done correctly. Every time someone comes out to fix something they end up breaking something else. Make sure you do an in person walk through and note any issues.

First off, the sales team was wonderful and the buying process was great outside of one upgrade we requested that was blown off and ignored. The construction team however has been a pain to deal with. The initial QC walkthrough seemed pretty good but there are now issues that we keep finding and issues that were noted during our walkthrough still have not been addressed at all, two months later (as of this review). I work in construction myself so I know all the "pandemic issues" but that excuse can't be used for everything. I've heard from neighbors that they all have various issues as well, similar or even worse than our experience. Lennar is very clearly failing to hire competent and quality contractors. ... More

The house has poor craftsmanship, it looks they they just threw the home together quickly and didn't take time to check to make sure everything was done correctly

The overall buying process was relatively simple. The complexity comes when the workmanship and quality comes into play. Lack of attention to detail - not a lot of pride in workmanship. Outstanding issues from Settlement are taking months to get resolved. I'm hearing the same thing from other home owners as well. If you are able, I'd recommend not completing settlement until the issues are resolved unless you want workers in and out of your house for months.

Upon closing, the Lennar team, with a great emphasis on Danielle, have gone over and above to make sure that any problem or concern I have had have been resolved effectively and efficiently. Kudos to Danielle!

I bout a house in Saratoga spring Utah at Clover Leaf way about one and half month ago. Now on the roof on the side of the house it already got ripped of and it hanging one of the piece. It is just above the gutter. I called yesterday to waranty claim and no body get back to me till now. Poor work can damage entire house. Also painting is not professioanl , lot of place has touch up which can be visiable on the walls.

Overall I am happy with the buying experience. I lived out of state while my home was being built. Cindy was on it weekly keeping me up to date and answering questions. Now that I have been here close to 2 months, I am slowly getting inside issues taken care of. In my opinion the finishing around the bath tubs and caulking’s around the baseboard could use attention to detail. The home is beautiful inside and out.

Substantial unreimbursed costs associated with multiple closing commitment delays. Terrible painting and painting followup.

When I first considered Lennar, I spoke to family/friends that had personal great experiences with Lennar which encouraged me to choose them, in addition to the floor plan options and the location of the neighborhood. I waited about a month from being pre-qualified to actually being able to sign the contract (which I understood because of the crazy housing market at the time). I was promised updates along the way - foundation done, roof being put on, cabinets being put in, etc. - which really makes the building process fun. I constantly had to reach out to my sales rep to get any information on the house, or had to visit the site myself to see the progress. I don’t think my new home consultant reached out once on her own to give updates; it was always responses (days later) because I reached out asking about the progress. Basic questions about the neighborhood weren’t really ever answered (where the mailboxes would be - told incorrect information, where and when dog park would be completed - never got an answer, when the pool area would be done - also behind the scheduled date they gave). When it came time to finally do the initial walkthrough, there was no leniency on scheduling to work with my work schedule because of other timelines in place - which I was a little annoyed but understood. And then when the initial walkthrough came around, basic stuff wasn’t ready - water wasn’t hooked up for the dishwasher or fridge, door knobs weren’t on every door, slab of cement that wasn’t supposed to be there was still sitting in the lawn, and more). Some of these items were still outstanding in the final walkthrough the day of closing. If Lennar is going to hold me to a certain timeline, they need to be held to their own timelines. Now, the warranty department has actually been a decent experience handling mostly cosmetic things that weren’t found during the walkthroughs. I was super excited to build, as this was my first time not buying a resale home, but I expected a better experience and was disappointed. Communication was poor, document requirements not clear

My only complaint has to do with the way HOA fees are collected. The homeowner should only have to pay one fee, Lennar can then take the total amount paid and distribute it to the different, golf membership, grounds maintenance etc. I don’t like having to pay four different fees, it’s a pain.

From start to finish the Lennar team has been great and my house turned out perfect. Would totally recommend.

As a first time home buyer , I never thought that getting a house is unbelievable but we made through it smoothly from inquiries, appointments and closing. staffs are great and their websites and apps used are both user friendly. We are at home at lennar.

Be prepared to accept an unfinished home. I closed 7 weeks ago and have white raw drywall mud all over my walls, a horribly stained pool, nothing covering the attic openings, broken exterior trim, unpainted sections of exterior walls, etc. All with no hope that it will ever get completed. This is my third new Lennar home in 6 years, and I am still stunned that I live in such an incomplete house.

Communication via lender was scares - little to none The day of closing didn’t know if I was going to close or not due to lack of communication finally 2 hours after my set closing time I got a call and they told me that they were working on it and they would let me know by 5 , 5 rolled around and still nothing. The builders pushed my closing date from , 2/28 to 2/25 at the very beginning of the loan process no big deal but they didn’t communicate that with the lender so the lender thought they had more time to work my file. No only was the house not ready to close, there where things not done on the house. Both my initial and final walk where a joke as things needed to be done and on closing day when I was handed my keys i had no sod ground was not grated before sod was thrown the day after closing so the ground is uneven and feels like quicksand even to this day a month after closing (the CSR added a drain pipe to help with the water flow in the grass but we still have the unevenness and still is like quick sand , behind the back fence just drops down so when you water the dirt just washes away and we have holes under the fence line) no cabinet doors and damaged drawer (they grabbed a cracked/damaged cabinet and drawer from a different house and installed it in mine) , a giant hole in the wall in the hallway wall where a lite switch was suppose to go, so no hallway light, foundation on the side of the house was cracked and honeycombed did not look very nice on the eyes. They peanut buttered cracks in the siding when it was broke off thinking we would be okay with the look of it Just overall construction was poorly handled and done. There are two out maybe six people I dealt with that knew what was going on. The title people were awful to deal with. The house is great, but can tell it is a track home with the cheaper materials used. A lot of stuff was scratched, broke, not finished when e arrived. Sloppy

The buying and building process was seamless. The construction manager was knowledgeable and provided gudiance through out the building process. Our home was ready on time, even in the midst of supplier chain issues.

Be aware of the Move in Ready line. our house was not clean, the yard is 2 different types of sod, there were plumbing and electrical issues with the house that took 30 days to get corrected. I feel the corporation was in a rush to close and overlooked many quality issues. We will not buy another Lennar Home.

Very good company, very easy to work with, I really liked when something needed fixing how quick they fixed it
